   Our favourite restaurant in Toronto to date. We dine out at least 2-3 times a week at a new venue each time. I also work In the industry so I’m quite particular and can be somewhat too critical at times. Food was incredible. The tartare on bone marrow, scallops and croquettes were amazing. The ambiance was spot on. Lively with great music. Our server was outstanding and the venue is really unique. Hands down best tapas in the city and a great night all round. Will be heading back next week to keep working our way through the menu

    The decor is warm and beautiful, and the food super fresh and delicious! Our server was friendly and very helpful. It was our first experience at Madrina and we loved the atmosphere! Lunch was just over $20 each (4 people shared one plate and 4 different tapas) with out alcohol. Can't wait to come back!

    I’ve been to Madrina before and every time it gets better. The food is innovative and has flavours that are out of this world. There’s seriously nothing like some of their tapas. I recommend the mussels with saffron foam. Plus the staff are very accommodating. Our server Sarah was super nice and checked up on us and how our food is. The hype is real.

    Overhyped tapas bar. Food was terrible and overpriced. Better tapas bars in Toronto. Even though Madrina is nicely located in distillery district and has a nice vibe the food and cocktails are not worth the price.

    Our dishes all came out at once and the meal was not paced out whatsoever. We ordered the lobster pallela and it came out within 5 mins of ordering and was undercooked / bland - it was clearly prepared in advance and re-heated. When paying these types of prices / in a restaurant like this we would have expected that the pallela would be cooked as it’s ordered (which typically takes 45 mins). Also, the dish only had traces of lobster in it which was disappointing.

    Great experience. We had several rounds of Tapas and Cocktails. The service intervals were perfect. Was Jan 1st and there was still an energetic atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. Smaller portions for those used to American sized servings. Will definitely come back.

    The quality of food was just poor. We frequent high end restaurants generally and assumed bc of the Michelin on their IG site it would be good. It’s just not. The food is not very tasty, comes in very small portions and it’s extremely over priced. You can go to any place on Ossington and get a better tasting meal for less money. Don’t be fooled by the neighbourhood or Michelin star connection.

    First time eating at Madrina Bar. Food was very good , service was amazing. Of the numerous plates we ordered , all were excellent but the stand out was the smoked octopus, so good. There are numerous Spanish style tapas places in Toronto but this is definitely at the top. Will be back.
