Lumen Detroit at Beacon Park offers a unique dining experience in the heart of the city, blending modern architecture with a vibrant park setting. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling retractable windows and one of Detroit's largest outdoor patios, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor ambiance. Guests can enjoy seasonally inspired Modern American cuisine, craft cocktails, and an extensive bar selection, whether on the rooftop or by the cozy outdoor firepits. With its lively atmosphere and picturesque views of Beacon Park, Lumen is the perfect spot for any occasion.

We offer valet parking for $15 Thursday-Sunday. There is also metered street parking available on a limited basis. Please note that reservations will be held for 15 minutes, after which they are subject to cancelation. We allot 2 hours per table for dining, after which we may ask for your table. Due to the possibility of inclement weather our patio tables are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Went to Lumen in Detroit, Michigan and it was a vibe! The ambiance was super great especially since I got to watch the sunset (I went at 6) the drinks were really good and food was great. We went to celebrate my birthday, and staff remembered and gave me a little birthday card! Food was great--we had the meatballs as an appetizer and our table had Thai Salmon (that was mine-it was excellent), burger, and Chicken Milenese. All excellent. Parking was also easy right across the street for $10 in a lot. We will be back!

This is our sixth time dining at Lumen. The first four times the normally outstanding Pork Belly was tough and tasteless. That has now happened twice in a row so it is a preparation change. The noise level was pretty high and the bar service was spotty. We will move on from Lumen since the chef has made changes to the pork belly and crab cakes that are driving the change.

With a reservation, the seating was clean, atmospheric, and the moderate inside dinner area was very nice. The food was good, good sized portions, and moderately affordable for a downtown city restaurant.

The food was good the prices are insane! Our bill was $200 for meatballs and 2 lamb chops dinner that only came with 4 lamb chops! Definitely not worth the price. The Chalets were nice but we added gratuity
