   So the birria was incredible but basically everything else lacked flavor and I needed to doctor up all. The aguachile was better once I added lime and hot sauce and salt to it. The margaritas tasted empty and lacked flavor. Honestly if you’re gonna charge $15 for one shot of tequila and some sour mix it needs to bee good. I basically had to ask them to add simple to every one of them because they just weren’t that good. Nice server but not very attentive and we sat a lot and had to get up and ask another server for things a few times and the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Not a great sign. Best part was 1000 points in OpenTable LOL

   Lolo’s is always pretty much the same. The food is ok and the people who serve you are very nice. I wish they would up the food to match with the location and service.

   Service was terrible. Although the restaurant was mostly empty they took forever to get our order, water, the food, drinks, all. Very dissatisfied. I was celebrating my husband’s bday and took the whole family. Really disappointed.

    I wish this one particular bartender would provide water with my meal but she never brings any or asks if I would like some with my meal. Hospitality is not service on request.

    Love this place but really dislike the neighbors from the Continuum South Beach who come in and treat the place like their own personal living room. I really didn't care for the one guy in particular who comes in with his 75 pound dog and walks around the restaurant. More importantly I definitely didn't care for someone having such disregard for their own pet to have it trolling around me while actively eating my meal.

    I had the burger at the bar this visit which came with fries. It had a little spicy kick to it so be warned and the menu makes no mention of the addition of fries.

    Although we had a server who I have seen at the restaurant before he seemed unfamiliar with the menu and quite disinterested to the point of never providing us with utensils to eat with. The hostess seated us at a wobbly table outside on the patio and provided ALL the menus for the day even the Happy Hour menu which did not start for another hour. It took some time for a server to come over and even longer for him to deliver some water to the table while waiting in the afternoon heat of Miami with our dog. Since I live locally I come to this restaurant quite frequently I have found that the food tends to be inconsistent of late. In particular, the Mexican street taco is more frequently being served overcooked and dry giving the impression that the steak has been sitting out in the prep station all day. The shrimp tacos, although usually good, are more often drenched in sauce when I order them so I now request them with the sauce on the side. I like the extensive tequila selections offered here, which are very good and reasonably priced, and also the cheap margaritas which are available all day at fluctuating prices (be careful). My favorite food item though is the Birria (short rib) tacos for $6 each, note that all the tacos are half price on Taco Tuesdays here, but make sure to order broth on the side for a complete experience for $2 dollars even on Tuesdays. The restaurant also has one of the spiciest hot sauces for an additional $1. To my understanding and disappointment they do not have fresh juices but I am sure with a little begging you might be able to get a fresh lemonade made at the bar with some simple syrup and lemon juice. Ultimately I like to refer to restaurants such as this as a "request" dining experience. If you want something such as water, complementary standard bottled hot sauce and I guess utensils now, you have to ask for it. The restaurant does add an 18% service charge and is not very hospitable considering it is a hotel outlet.

    The good about the place is that the tacos are outstanding - only problem is the service and long wait to get your order of which usually a part is missing. Waiters are friendly but coordination with kitchen or whatever is causing the delay and missing items is poor. Would go more frequently but given the long wait until receiving the order (especially tacos which should be prepared in a few minutes when the restaurant is not busy which is usually the case, and not 45+ min) makes us hesitate. Also received wrong, higher pricing on the final bill (happy hour prices were not taken), so make sure you check the bill! Had to point it out to the waiter. Also another long wait to receive the new bill.

    The menu in the restaurant was not the same as on Open Table. We went because there were more options than just tacos. There was lamb and fish listed for the mains. There were no mains on the menu in the restaurants

    This restaurant does not seem aware that they are using OpenTable. Both times I made a reservation, they did not know about it. The second time it was a problem because there were 2 groups of 6 who wanted to be seated outside at the same time. Both groups had OpenTable reservations, but the staff knew nothing about the reservations. They eventually created spaces for both groups and we had a nice meal.

    Delicious tacos!! Most of the cocktails include tequila, which is not my favorite, so I asked for horchata with a shot of rum and it cost $17! Took the waiter a LONG time to bring my companion a draft beer. But delicious tacos!!

    So happy to know Lolo’s is under new management. We love the food and had stopped going because of very poor service. We went for dinner a couple of weeks ago and were completely impressed. Happy to be back!!

    South Beach mexican. Best for the bar. Large selection of premium tequilas. Food is fair. Stick with the tacos. Beware, automatic 18% service charge added to your bill.

    Nice breakfast spot and in the hotel we were staying in! Not as cheap as others on Ocean Avenue but more subdued. Staff is lovely and they try hard to make you happy!

    Had an absolute delightful experience Lolo’s. We were greated immediately and everyone who we encountered were extremely nice and made sure we were enjoying everything. Enjoyed it so much the first time for dinner we came two nights later and sat outside for some cocktails and appetizers. Fish tacos were phenomenal. Make sure you put this on your restaurants to visit during your stay in South Beach!
