Following a four-month refurbishment, Dovile Newton has opened the doors to Locker Hyndland – a café, bistro and bakery – in the west end of the city.

As you know it's been a really tough year for our sector but we’ve been welcomed into the neighbourhood with open arms whilst we have operated, like many, for takeaway and home delivery.

Every dish is made from scratch in-house and prepared with love. We want to create a balance of what people are used to whilst still responding to different trends and flavour combinations.

Accommodated us very easily. The menu was interesting and very unique in many ways, good vegetarian options which is very welcome The specials were amazing, unique and really tasty. Takes your tastebuds out of your comfort zone Chef Frasier was very helpful and offering advise and suggestions Coffees were hot and the pecan brownies very moreish!!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, so much to choose from on the menu - amazing brunch options . I had the pancakes which were fluffy and thick - ill be back !

Great menu lovely food. Service a little slow, perhaps busy Friday morning plus new member of staff. Also ran out of several ingredients so couldn’t have our first choice but staff were friendly and apologetic.

I got a telephone call to say their coffee machine was broken and if we wanted to cancel it would be a problem. I said no it was fine. Beautiful breakfast with a lovely pot of tea. The service as always with a smile

I was a bit disappointed after my last visit. I ranted and raved to everyone about locker & booked to go back as soon as I left. This time was good but not amazing. It was a very busy Easter Monday & I felt for the server who was on herself, she was rushed off her feet. She tried her best but between sit ins & takeaways it was very busy & a very busy kitchen. We were so hungry when we arrived but our good order wasn’t taken for a while. The food was great but again not as good as the last time. The male server & female chef blew me away on my first visit so I had very high expectations. Still a nice visit, just not as good as last time.

Myself and my partner had a lovely time here. The food was amazing, coffee was fabulous, vibe was great and staff were lovely what more could you ask for.

The Locker is comfortable airy and staff are friendly and helpful. Menu is varied, has staples and more adventurous offerings. Portions were not particularly big and a little bland, our food was cold, as it was busy we go on with it. They did have some intriguing tea and coffee choices.
