Loch Bar-Boca Raton
Too much salt and pepper used on food!!!
Very disappointed. We were seated in a booth that had very cold air blowing directly on us. When we mentioned it the waiter (Phil ) said it’s even worse if you turn it off because it would get really hot! My wife and I ordered steaks. Her $42 filet mignon was inedible. Rubbery and didn’t taste fresh. My NY strip was covered in sauce (the waiter said it was a small amount which was not the case). I he asked for a baked potato with butter. My steak came with a loaded potato with sour cream, bacon and cheese. The waiter said they can’t do a regular potato (why didn’t he mention this when I ordered ?). So I ended up with a small amount of fries which were cold. Our friends loaded potato tasted like coffee!! The Maui Maui portion she ordered was very small. When we told the waiter about the bad steak he said he would ask the manager to take it off the bill. Then he ended up only providing a dessert for no charge when we had told him we didn’t want any dessert. The manager never spoke to us. We definitely won’t go back here when there are so many other great alternatives nearby. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
Beautiful ambience very good quality food at a good value. Lobster, Crab and other Fresh Fish dishes ordered had lots of Fresh Flavors and hardly any bread fillers.
The best oyster selection in towns as well as a great Happy Hour Bar food and drinks selection.
Outstanding service Provided by Veteran servers such as Brandon with good team work portrayed and managed very professionally by Brian
Excellent server. Very nice bartender. We enjoyed our brunch and were very happy with the bottomless drinks. Awesome location and great atmosphere! Very upscale.
Stephen is amazing, very accommodating. He remembers our drink after the first time. The food is amazing. The smoked old fashioned is on point. Can’t wait to go back again.
Very good experience. Enjoyed our
Had a wonderful birthday brunch with Eric as our server. Sunday features unlimited brunch drinks like their mimosas, bloody Mary’s, bellinis, and famous crushes. As usual, I ordered the lobster roll! In my opinion it’s the best thing on the menu. Everyone in my party had a wonderful time!
One of the best happy hours in boca! 3-7 pm every day!! We went on a Saturday and tried a bunch of the happy hour cocktails and appetizers. Can’t beat 1.25 oysters! Would definitely return.
Waiter was outstanding just wish I could remember his name
Great food and atmosphere, we were at the happy hours and obviously price are really reasonable at that time, great fresh seafood and great service. Nice restaurant experience.
The drinks and appetizers were pretty good! Specially the drinks - so so good! However, I was not impressed with my main entree. For the price, I was expecting more seasoning. I was literally looking for the salt and pepper to add to my fish. I ordered the salmon and the mac & cheese as an additional side. I did not like the mac & cheese. It was bland and did not taste good at all. Restaurant decor was lovely. They had a live band Saturday night, which I thought was pretty cool but it was a bit too loud. I could barely hear my friend sitting next to me when the band was playing. Overall I had a good experience, I would back for drinks and appetizers only - not dinner.
This is a great restaurant. We had 7:30 PM reservations and receded in a great location. We were meeting another couple that we had not se
expensive for what we got. alcohol made it very pricey. food itself was relatively ok in taste and price point.
Best birthday ever!!! I have been to Loch Bar in the past and quickly became a fan! Between the Raw Bar options, bar staff, and that Happy Hour how could I not be? Tonight I sat a table and had the nicest server! Angela with the help of Loch Bar made my husbands birthday extra special. I chose the Red Snapper Special with fresh crab meat, while my husband had a Grand Seafood Tower that I had to help him out with (not complaining)! Generous portions, great music, and in my experiences always a GREAT experience. Thank you Loch Bar and special thanks to the manager who was nice enough to give us a little birthday dessert at the end of our meal:) PS had my first oyster shooter and I’m sold 2$ @HH!
We went to Loch Bar to see the Hanging with Brody Band. We never would’ve gone there if they hadn’t invited us to go. We would definitely go back- food was good and service great. It was a little pricey but a nice night out
Food was great and the band was so much fun. Great atmosphere, crab cakes and Brussels sprouts were among our favorites.
I wanted to like this place. They have music and a good bar set up. If you sit on the inside barstools, the AC blows directly on you. The menu is just ok. I ordered the crab cakes with a side of asparagus. It was probably the most expansive item on the menu. My friend had the poke appetizer. Hers was tiny. It was very hard to get the attention of the bartender and it wasn't that busy. I wouldn't go back.
Ca you say up sale? The food was alright. They push the crab cakes, lobster roll and seafood tower.
What an amazing restaurant to celebrate my birthday!! Created a wonderful memory.
Maybe would refer. Many of our orders took too long to get served, including drink orders. Other orders came out wrong, and had to be re-ordered and/or sent back. The Server did not try to make up for these issues, but they need to get their act together better.
This was my first time coming here since I’m new in the area . Our friends suggested it that it was very good sea food . I loved the lobsters sliders and the tuna poke . Our waiter John was amazing . He was attentive and very nice to us . They had a guy playing music and he was awesome. It made the ambiance of the place stand out . The location is great because it’s in the heart of boca Raton . I would definitely come back and recommend this place .
Good food great service beautiful ambiance and nice music!
I had the best crab cakes I have ever had the pleasure to chew!!
Excellent food and delicious cocktails. Several types of oysters to choose from, and an eclectic menu. We tried Fried Chicken (Brussel Sprout slaw is amazing, they should consider adding it as a side option) shrimp and grits, Maryland crab soup and some raw oysters. Other than the shrimp being slightly over cooked; everything was delicious. The deep fried grits are a nice twist and were really tasty. Can’t wait get back to try the crab grilled cheese sandwich.
Delicious food in a beautiful restaurant. Was very excited for live music, except when they started playing they were so loud that I couldn't have a conversation with my party. Even asking dor an adjustment, they continued to play and sing at a concert volume. There were not many diners when they began and even fewer as they continued. So disappointing. The music actually put a huge damper on the evening.
Restaurant was not crowded but our waiter was not around much. A complimentary bottle of wine is included with 2 entrees. The other couple got 2 entrees and a bottle of red wine. My husband, who does not drink wine, ordered a beer, and I asked for our bottle as well. The waiter said that the 3 of us had to drink from that first bottle and then he would bring over the other. This seemed to be a bit odd since we all had ordered entrees. The beer was not part of any deal. I called the manager over and explained the situation. He said there would not be a problem.
Great food and service. Had mussels, lobster roll, and crab cakes. We went for lunch before the live music started. Will definitely go back!!
Food was not good! Small portions. Wilted salads
Will not return.
Best crab I have ever had. Good oyster selection. Pricey but worth it. Will definitely go back.
I had reservations at their sister restaurant, Ouzo bay. I was notified by Open table that Ouzo was permanently closed. So i made a reservation at Loch bar.
Their Sunset dinner, if you are seated before & includes appetizer, entree, dessert and if you have 2 entrees over $19, you get a choice of a bottle of house Chardonnay or Cabernet.
I started with a very good Maryland Crab Soup with mixed vegetables and purple potatoes in a tomato broth. Lots of crab in it. My wife ordered the Caesar salad, which she thought was fair.
For mains, I ordered the Maryland crab cakes, over mixed greens that came with a remoulade sauce but I prefer cocktail sauce which i got. very good crab cakes with almost no filler. My wife had the Maine Diver scallops over a pineapple mango chutney with leeks, red pepper and a crispy plantain.
For dessert, my wife ordered ice cream and I had the key Lime Panna Cotta.
The service, food and ambience all made for a great dinner. We both had soup starters - I had the Maryland crab soup and my friend had a combination of the two soups - which were excellent. We also both had the lobster rolls for the main. Also excellent. The bourbon and scotch selection was the best I’ve seen in Florida. Overall, 5 stars.
great food, good service, atmosphere is great reminds me of growing up in the Ocean City/Baltimore/Philadelphia region- just too noisy to relax and enjoy the delish food
Third time and loved it each time . Service is always excellent . Menu is amazing. Food is truly good! Ambiance is on the loud side but fun with live music two of the three times we’ve been here . Only complain: turn the AC down a bit please!!! Brrrrrr
Disappointed. I had planned a surprise 50th bday with guests coming in directly from the airport. My reservation was for 7 and the bday guest walked in prior to be seated at the table with chairs facing the band versus the booth for 4 that I had requested. I walked in at 7:17 and the hostess informed me that she no longer held my reservation because I wasn’t there at 7:15. There were many booths available so I was surprised to see my bday guest seated at the very back near my he band area where I believe are the absolute worst tables. Again disappointed.
Food was absolutely delish, service was great but the noise level from the so-called entertainment put a damper on the evening- had to yell to be heard and we were not near the entertainer
Trying to be an after work hot spot but people trying to eat pay the bills
Best happy hour in downtown boca!
Our third visit and this time everything was perfect! We had a great brunch! Service and food were top notch.
Server was a bit pushy with timing. She obviously didn’t know this was a special occasion. Overall we would come back but not recommend for anything other than bar food and casual dinner
Wife and I thought this plac e was a winner. I ordered the cauiflower appetizer and it's zingy sauce made it a great choice. fordinner had the fried chiocken - moist and great crunch. Fries were good and NOT soggy, nor did they deteriorate whilew sitting on the plate - the last one was as good as the fors. My wife had the moules frite and thought they were quite good.;
Found our server, Brandon, did excellent job describing and talking about the food.
The ONLY negative was that when we arriove (close to 7pm) thenoise from thebar was so loud we could not hear each other. But by 8pm the noise inside was gone and the interior would not have beena problem.
Prices are very fair and we will happily return to this place.
Loch Bar has become one of our regular go to restaurant
Best crab cakes!
