Food was really good- I had the Patty Melt. Our waitress was rude and unpleasant. She should not be working in the service industry! Smile it doesn’t cost anything
It was a little dinner at its best busy and bustling. Food was amazing and pretty fast for it being lunch rush on a Monday. We sat at the counter and watched the magic happen!
We tried to get a group of 6 in for breakfast on a Sunday but didn't have a reservation so we came back on Monday. It was totally worth coming back! It was awesome! The hash browns are the best! The service was great. Our server paid much attention to detail including our special dietary needs. Would come back every time we come to Chicago!
The food at best was meh! The smoked fries taste over cooked and very dry. The patty melt was good, but honestly any diner can make a good patty melt. For the $23 burger and fry meal, you would think it would be spectacular. Unfortunately that is not the case at the Little Goat in Chicago. On top of the subpar meal, what made the experience worse was the horrible and I do mean horrible waiter, Byron. Byron’s aloofness and total disregard for us as first time patrons made us never want to return. He barely took the time to take our order before he floated off to another table to deliver horrible service. Byron has the table side manner equivalent to a bird trapped inside a building. Constantly moving with very little grace. The little goat isn’t worth the time or the money.
First time experience and can't wait to go back!! Loved the food and ambiance; great for casual or dinner before a night out! Highly recommended.
Little goat never disappoints! Our favorite place to bring visitors for an amazing meal with great service!
I have enjoyed all of my visits to Little Goat. When friends come to visit it is one of the first places we think of to go to.
Everything is well prepared, from the food to the cocktails and craft beer selection. Excellent service.
We ordered quite a bit, but my favorites were the goat chili cheese fries, the mac and cheese, and fried cauliflower.
Great food, good service, did not disappoint.
Great food, great service, as always. Thanks!
Fun place to go with fun items on the menu. Have dined her many times. This time found it to only be okay. Usually the nachos are a great go to. However, this time we were very disappointed with them. They should go back to the old recipe.
Loved the fish tostadas and chocolate ice cream. Service could have been a little faster.
I always recommend this place. One of my favs. Food wasn’t as great this time as I remember it and a few of my favorite items aren’t on the menu anymore. It was still good just not great like I remember.
Incredibly delicious, and wonderfully designed. I strongly recommend reservations and not to drive there, as parking is difficult and valet expensive. (Which is typical for Chicago, so don't let it stop you from going.) Amazing!
Cool atmosphere and very comfortable seating. Our server, Sage, was so attentive and informative. The food arrived promptly and was so fresh. The Chickpea was the best salad I’ve eaten in a restaurant. A yummy, complimentary birthday shake was brought out with a candle for my daughter’s 16th. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Chicago.
Breakfast made special!
Incredible food and atmosphere! Wish I could have saved room for the delicious looking pastries. Only complaint would be the tiny size of the macchiato (still very good).
The ambiance and decor are really nice, but the menu is so varied I got a bit confused. Yes, it has diner foods.. and tostadas. It does get loud.
This restaurant is overrated.
Love the upscale diner experience. Great menu, food was delish, service great too. Very loud tho, our only issue. Next time we will sit in bakery section
I had the tostados fish tacos and they were incredible. Paired really nicely with a local beer.
OMG -- this is my favorite spot in the city these days. I love the food, and over the top breakfast items available all day can not be beat!
We love the food here but it's so noisy we can't go if we want to have conversations with people (and we're in our 30s so we're not old). It's a common thing I hear from so many friends - the food is amazing but it's not great if you want to really catch up with people cause you end up yelling across tables the whole night. Also we always feel so bad for the servers as they always seem to have too many tables. What could easily be an hour lunch turns into 30-45 longer than it should if you don't keep on top of where your server is, and flag them down when you get the opportunity.
Good breakfast or brunch spot!
service was fairly poor. not sure if the wait staff was undermanned or something. we canceled a couple of things that were ordered because our mains came out before the items that were supposed to come first. Waitress was too busy to apologize or care it seemed. From a food standpoint, it was my first sub-par meal at little goat after being there many times before and having great meals. I had the Manchurian cauliflower dish. Cauliflower was very hard. My milkshake was like 20% milkshake. Chalking it up to an off night.
Been a while since our last visit, and brought back all the memories - unique dishes, but great comfort food.
So good! Generous portions, delicious food, great service. It's a little loud inside.
This was a hit with 2 adults and 4 pretty picky kids. The giant cinnamon roll was definitely a favorite at our table.
Great Food! Loved the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
It was a good time and delicious food!
Fun place! Check out the photo booth!
Really great wait staff.
All of our food was really yummy
Loved the menu! Thought it was different from the usual diner food.
Great spot, always has great food and service.
We ate breakfast at Little Goat and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was quintessential chic diner. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. My wife and I shared the pork belly fries (worth it) and a cinnamon roll (that glaze is amazing) as we drank coffee and lattes. Then, my wife had the yogurt and granola (yogurt was incredible) and I had the This Little Piggy Went to China, which I cannot do justice with words...it really was that transcendental. We will dine here every time we come to Chicago, from now on. Loved it!!!
For people with celiacs (and I suppose without as well) this place is a dream. It’s one of the only places my spouse and I haven’t been cross-contaminated. They were super friendly, accommodating, and careful to let us know what could and could not be modified. And they had a gluten-free menu that clearly labeled possible contamination risks. And the food was sooooooo good. Those shrimp and grits!
Food was great, service could’ve been better. Server was hardly around and always seemed to rush us.
Very quick to get into. All the food for our party of 6 was delicious. The Lemon dessert was so awesome that everyone enjoyed a taste. They were very sensitive to allergy/food options for their customers and made sure everything was well labeled. They even had gluten free breads that were not the standard shelf items. I highly recommend the dinner at Little Goat
extraordinary service, good food, affordable prices
the food we ordered was terrible . Unfortunately my wife’s was highly acidic she did not like it all. Mine was grossly over seasoned and I could barely eat half of it.
