The food is fantastic and so are the drinks, but the service was a bit lacking. We were never asked if we wanted a second round of drinks and our waters were never refilled. They weren’t super busy by any means so they should have been on top of it.

We decided to try Lincoln-DC for dinner one night while on a family vacation. We really enjoyed it! The food and drinks were great - the kids (teens) enjoyed the chicken pot pie, my wife enjoyed the grilled crab/cheese sandwich, and I enjoyed the pea soup (with lobster!) and risotto - all the food was delicious! We also shared a couple of deserts that were outstanding as well (a chocolate cake creation and a cherry desert with ice cream). Our server was great as well - very attentive, helpful, and polite. Ambience was good - we really enjoyed the outdoor seating. Only one small complaint was that my soup and entree were delivered together, instead of soup coming first as requested - but this was a minor thing in the big picture. We would recommend this restaurant to others.

We have been to the Lincoln on several occasions and this last trip was underwhelming. Our service was lackluster and mia most of the time. Other than the omelette and waffle station most items coming directly out of the kitchen were rather bland and lacking flavor.

The scallops were excellent. Should've come with a starch or second side for the price (came with just cauliflower). The cauliflower did not have much flavor to it. Ambiance and decor were awesome!

Given the opportunity to dine here again, I’d pass. Sat outside. No ambience, or privacy (some plants or other shielding items would be nice) mental chairs and tables very uncomfortable to sit at… small portions. Dry bread accompanying salads- no butter… no bread basket… drinks served in cheap mason jars… I don’t know. Just not what I was expecting.

The service and food has really declined in recent years. I took two work colleagues there and the place was not very busy but service was slow, the food was mediocre for the cost - burger was $21 and my medium patty was cooked well and the fries soggy. Multiple times we had to ask someone to take our glasses away or get refills or water or wine. It will be awhile before I return unfortunately.

I try to do Lincoln whenever I’m in town. It never disappoints. Our meals and drinks were wonderful. Our server, Karen, was attentive, polite, and gave us several food and drink selections that were on point. Truly delicious!

We arrived early and were able to be seated, but our waiter was not attentive to us at all. We waited 20 minutes for our cocktails because he forgot to put the order in. Our side of cornbread was extremely dry and crumbly, but the beet salad was good. The short rib hash entree was very good, however the lobster benedict did not include any hollandaise or similar sauce and was cold. Desert was no better, as both of our choices were tasteless. The best choice we made was visiting the waffle bar for a gooey treat. Then we had to chase down our waiter for the bill. Overall, we were appaled at the cost per person (which did NOT include beverages) for the meal and the poor service.

Ambiance and decor was great and the menu sounded wonderful. Started with the French onion soup, butternut squash soup and the brussels sprout appetizer. The squash soup was tepid and over whipped with air/cream. It tasted like room temp squash foam. The brussels sprouts dish was oily and served with very bland potato chunks and crema that would have been lovely if not covered in oil from sprouts. I opted to try a signature cocktail with beet juice and ginger. It was nice, but very strong on the ginger for my taste. I switched to a glass of the Oregon Pinot Noir, and it was great. The French onion soup was amazing and made with sherry or brandy which added a nice, sweet flavor to the broth. I had the pear and goat cheese salad and my husband opted for the cheeseburger. Both were fine but nothing spectacular or noteworthy, other than the board that the burger was served on was obviously set on top of something very greasy, as it made our table incredibly greasy once removed. We ordered two cappuccinos and the salted caramel ice cream with crumble cake and caramel for dessert. It took over 15 minutes to get them and they were both lukewarm. By the time the server came back (we had to ask the dessert runner to get her), our ice cream had melted. She didn't offer to see why they were cold, or to check on the cappuccino machine - remake them is all she offered - which didn't make a lot of sense to us as they were obviously made cold by the temp of the water in the machine. We compromised on cups of regular coffee, which apparently had to be brewed, because that took another 15 minutes. And when our bill came, we were charged for two cappuccinos. Overall, we tried Lincoln based on a look at the menu, but ultimately were disappointed in the execution of the dishes and service. The place is fun and well appointed, but don't think the food or service is up to par or worth the price.

Mid. Food was fine. Lots of good options but nothing really blew us away. The service was slow. The server would disappear for long periods of time especially towards the end of our meal. We were finished and sat for over 10 minutes just waiting on the check. We won’t be back to this spot. The penny wall is cool.

The Belgian waffle from the waffle bar was very flavorful and delicious. My omelet was tasty, although a little overcooked. Shrimp and grits were ok, I would not order it again, although my friend liked hers. The BLT Benedict was good, but the star of the meal was the Fried Chicken and Waffles with the bacon jam! I added a touch of warm maple syrup over the top and it was a definite 10! The mimosas were tasty and the value was excellent. Service was excellent until we asked for our check. That took too long…

Part of our party was a few minutes late, and we needed to find our server to order but he did initially come around when the first part of our party arrived. Once we were connected with him, the service was great and everything was brought out quickly. The food and drinks were so good and it was a great atmosphere for a Saturday lunch with friends- not too crowded or loud but the typical busy crowd for a sunny Saturday.

The steak in the steak salad was excellent--tender and flavorful. However, the salad was uniform--only one variety of lettuce, making the plate a bit boring visually. The tomatoes where not worth eating. While I would order it again, I encourage the chef to reduce the amount of salt in the dressing. Lastly, the accompanying bread was well-cooked, but would benefit from a drizzle of fresh olive oil and fresh herbs. The espresso had good flavor but lacked creme and the punch of a true espresso.
