   We dine here throughout the theater season (both The Wells and Chrysler Hall) and love the atmosphere, food and service at Leone's The wine list, the bread, the Caesar Salad and the fabulous Lobster Fettuccine are consistently perfection. But it's the wonderful staff we have gotten to know for several years that make this restaurant the best. Looking forward to returning next season!

   the linquini with clams had NO flavor....was supposed to have chile flakes which were non existent and sadly the dish LACKED any flavor. so it was disappointing.

   We ate outdoors on a very pleasant evening. Requested family style so our choosy grandchildren could sample multiple dishes. It worked very well.

   Really good food but the service was just alright. The sausage and peppers appetizer is awesome but charging for bread is kind of odd. Still a nice time and they gave me a celebration dessert for graduating so I appreciated that

   Had a very nice quiet dinner with my wife and a friend. The Calamari Appetizer was delicious, the Old Fashion was very good and our entrees were excellent. My only complaint was that my veal chop was slightly overcooked an so was my wife's Salmon. Nice place, the outdoor patio was great and the clientele were upscale.

   My son and I went for Mother's Day. We sat for about 10 minutes, and no one came to our table. We informed the manager that no server had been to the table. The gentleman who was seated shortly before and next to us also complained. The manager waited on him attentively. Maybe because the gentleman was inquiring about expensive wines. I didn't even get as much as an apology... and it's Mother's Day. I could have chosen another restaurant... and should have. Leone's was not prepared to make it special for their guests celebrating on this day.

   Thought Leone's had a dress code? OMGosh, some of the outfits I saw parading around!! Were a lot of people walking through the restaurant to go outside to the back area which tended to be distracting especially where we were sitting. Hostess was very sweet and joked with us; our server was very attentive. I ordered chicken cacciatore but the sauce was too strong for me. My husband ordered the salmon and said it was delicious. The Charcuterie was very tasty and the small portion was more than enough for three of us. This wasn't our first dining experience at Leone's and won't be our last but there was no parking in the immediate vicinity so we had to park in the York Street garage.

   I hate leaving this review...I have had nothing but great experiences until last night. We were excited to go for Mother's Day. The only thing available was an early dinner at 4:30 which was fine for us. After being seated we had to ask if someone was going to serve us after sitting there 15 minutes. The waitress that came over ( we have had her before and was pretty good last time), was disinterested and seemed bothered to take care of us. We did not see her serving any other table, and we had to ask other employees to find her several times during the evening. She never brought bread to the table, and had to ask for all the usual things (like fresh ground parmesan) with our meal. Food was slightly cold and definitely not up to their usual standards. Hopefully this was a weird night. But I will think twice about going back.

    The food was great but we sat 20 minutes with no one coming to our table. We were past over by three servers as they went to every table but ours. We stopped a server only to be told she couldn’t help us because it wasn’t her table. Once our server came he was nice and a great server but we shouldn’t have to wait that long and watch people get served that came after us.

    We have been here three times in the past 6 months moving about the menu. The salads, bread and starters are generally excellent and the service has been consistently the same. Now, if only they could step-up the game on the entrees. Our entrees appear to use pre-cooked pieces of chicken that are thin and dried out thrown over pasta or mashed potatoes with a sauce. Even the seafood seems to have been sitting in a red sauce - not prepared to order.

    From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed and the ambiance was warm. The food from appetizers to cocktails to main dish to dessert was absolutely amazing! I would recommend this restaurant to any food lover!

    First the food was excellent & the price in line with other fine dining in the area. It appeared there was a problem with the reservation. We were placed in a corner & were never acknowledged by the server (& she spoke with a table that was seated after us) until the manager directed her to come and serve us. That was aggravating on it's own but also because we had an event to attend and was mindful of time constraints. Once she did, she was quite attentive the rest of the evening.

    22 Apr 23 - We choose Leone’s because we wanted to take advantage of Leone’s great nearby location to the Scope Arena as we had tickets to see the Norfolk Military Tattoo. Our first-time experience at Leone’s could not have been more enjoyable - everything about our dinning experience was just fabulous. From the front window, table for 2, to the very last bite of our delicious meal served with wine made for a completely pleasurable dinning experience in every way possible. Clay, our server’s excellent service made our evening’s dinning experience all the more enjoyable. Our selected dishes were: spaghetti & meatballs ( and their meatballs are indeed very good) and the sausage & orecchiette , caprese salad, Chianti & house Merlot. Dessert consisted of Gelatto -vanilla & Cannoli and every bite of each dish was just delicious. If we lived in the Norfolk area, Leone’s would become our favorite Italian restaurant. Ciao!

    The service was good. The waitress was very polite though she disappeared for quite a while after stopping by our table. The food was mediocre at best. My food was lukewarm and needed a lot of salt and pepper to make it taste like anything.

    My husband and I had such a lovely date night at Leone’s! I ordered sausage gnocchi with creamy pesto. It was absolutely delicious!! My husband ordered the chicken piccata, which was also delicious! I also have to add that I love the champagne coupe glasses they use to serve champagne and other cocktails. It’s all in the little details and I very much appreciate that!

    Everything about our visit was wonderful except it was really cold inside the restaurant. It also would’ve been a pleasant addition to the ambience had music been playing. Our server was very attentive with keeping our glasses refilled and checking on us throughout the meal. She even acknowledged we were attending the show “Hamilton” afterwards.

    We went to Leone’s before a show at Chrysler Hall, and I wanted to love it. The restaurant was clearly overwhelmed, despite not being overflowing. Our waiter mentioned he had a party of 45 in another room. So why was he assigned 3 more tables in the dining room? He still did his best, but the table next to us asked to see the manager due to the wait. They asked when we arrived if we were going to a show, and then the food was so late coming out we had 10 minutes to eat. Good thing, maybe, that it was bland and we didn’t mind leaving some behind so we could make the play. I was so disappointed!

    We enjoyed our pre-Hamilton dinner at Leone's. My sausage and mushroom gnocchi dish was delicious, as was my husband's classmates with linguini. Tiramisu for dessert was the icing on the cake! Thanks for a lovely evening!
