    Reservation honored as requested and greeted warmly by hostess. Excellent service by Kelsey. Manager Robin checked in on us numerous times. Hingham is the best managed LSF store by far.

    All 6 of us had an excellent dinner as usual. The waitress was a young one month experienced waitress and she handled herself very well.

    My wife order the fish and chips the fish appeared to be made in the non traditional manner with burned and extremely spicy breadcrumbs she had it with rice which at best was served at room temperature I had the linguine and clams it also came out at room temperature. I feel for the price things should be served hot it seems like the dinner may have been sitting in the kitchen for a bit. Also, when we asked our server about the fish and chips; she said herself that the fish seemed overcooked and burned. Not a good overall experience when it came to the food.

    Ordered 6 Little neck clams - they were so bad you could smell them from the plate. Never should have left the kitchen like that and something is definitely wrong here because Legal has always been known for the freshness of their seafood. Since new ownership everything has been declining for a while now. Sad to say that after 35 years of dining at Legal on a regular basis I have now firmly crossed it off my list for good.

    We were seated promptly when we arrived for our reservation. The waitress came and took our drink orders and our meal orders soon after we were seated and brought the drinks and bread soon after. We had ordered chowder and it did not arrive and did not arrive and finally I had to go to the hostess stand and ask for the chowder to be delivered. It arrived within a minute and the waitress apologized for the delay. She stated that she thought someone else was to deliver the chowder but that person never did as he was new and was in training I understand what happened and the rest of our meal went fine. I had the Cod loin and my wife had the swordfish and both meals were up to the Legal very high standard and were most delicious. We will return and not let the slip up deter us from having another great meal. Jack O’Toole
