Layla by Meir Adoni
Layla Restaurant offers a casual-fine dining experience with a menu that allows sharing dishes between friends along with an à-la-carte menu.
For a more speakeasy evening setting, guests can choose to sit at the rounded bar and order a nice selection of bar food and complementing drinks.
The drinks menu consists of a well-selected choice of local spirits and organic wines. The wines list predominantly contains wines from Europe as well as the Middle East. Emanuele Broccatelli, a renowned Italian mixologist, is in charge of the drinks served at Layla. He is creating new concoctions complementing chef Meir Adoni’s food.
Nice restaurant with great atmosphere - open kitchen, depending on your table you can watch the cooks...
Dishes were very good and tasty but pretty heavy - had a stomach full of stones for 20h without eating a lot.
Services was ehmm improvable. When we received attention it was fine but we rarely received attention. It wasn't crowded.
Nice experience but I had better dinner and much better service for this price.
Food was interesting. Wine per glass definitely too expensive. Service very friendly and helpful. The Bar is great.
We have been there second time and also this time, we enjoyed the food and the staff with their service and friendliness. Keep going—we will be back 😉
To start off with, the food is not bad. But definitely not a show stopper! The concept seems to be a middle-eastern-japanese crossover, which firstly sounds very interesting. The japanese parts (sashimi) were definitely better than the oriental parts. Afterwards the feeling remained that it’s more made for Instagram, means it looks better than it tastes.
The portionsize was mostly ok, some (fish doughnuts for example) were a bit small.
Also the wines were not very interesting.
Service was friendly but not very well briefed, most of them speak only english and it was hard to understand them due to the loud music. Felt like a very young team without lots of routine in gastronomy...
The location is beautiful but not really cosy. If you want to talk relaxed it might not be the right place.
The drink at the bar was pretty good though!
All in all: way too expensive for what you get!
Best dinner I have had in ages. New flavors and combination... what a treat!
The drinks we order when we came
Served almost in the end of the meal.
The food was great
Geht so.
Einfach sensationell !!!!!! Mehr kann man nicht erwarten
Beautiful location with amazing food and very friendly staff (thanks for your amendments in the menue reg. food allergies). We will definitely come back!
One of the most exceptional dining experiences we’ve ever had. Ambiance was fantastic with the open kitchen as the centerpiece. Very relaxed bar area with unusual selection of cocktails. Every course was exceptional in its presentation and taste sensation. Highly recommended.
Schade!
It was my first time at Layla and we all loved the food and the service. besides the fact that we waited a while for our drinks everything was just perfect. We had 5 pre dishes and 2 mains and Qatayef was my absolute favorite pre. As Mains we trieds Steets of Beirut and Grilles Octopus - both highly recommended. Will come again
Great location & perfected food, amazing taste - expand your horizon!
Food and ambiance were very good. But the Noise was absolutly too much.
It was a nice evening, wunderfull , delicious food.
Unfortunatily: The service could be lot better. Less „cool“. More professionell would be nice.
Prices are high.
Music was lot to loud. Had to scream.
But the food is really great.
the place is beautifully designed, very comfortable, and quite.
the dishes are very tasty and big even the starters.
the service and the waitress are really nice and helpful
Great food and very tasty. Interior design looks fantastic and the bar is nice as well. Good choice and make sure to have a reservation. Any time again!
Great service. Great food. Great restaurant.
Thank you very much for this Great experience!! See you soon!
The food had great quality, however it was a little too avant garde for my taste when I am eating Israeli food - I personally like it a little simpler. Drinks and service were both amazing, but the lighting inside was too bright and bathrooms are too far away since the restaurant is located inside a heavily lit hotel.
Ausgezeichnet - geschmacksgenuss pur. Sehr netter und fürsorglicher Service!
Creative and tasty food but very poor service and way too long waiting times. Overpriced for the service experience. Very sad because the menu and the work of the chefs is great!
Es war laut wie in einer Kantine. Personal spricht kaum Deutsch.
very nice food and drinks, service is welcoming, restaurant well designed
Excellent service, delicious food and beautiful design of the space. I had a great time.
Liebes Lyla Team,
Too expensive. Vegetarian dishes - Do not worth the value. Disappointing
Perfect food , perfect atmosphere, we enjoyed every surprising dish and had a great evening.
what was that? way to expensive for sitting in a hotels restaurant.
Yes, I would recommend Layla to a friend but I would also want to give that friend some tips on how to order. Seeing the price range is rather high, I would suggest that they share if they can but also be very careful because there is sooooo much flavor going on, that the meal ends up being rather rich in the end. Breads and dips were fantastic. I had the octopus main, it was over spiced/sauced - there was no "relief" from all of the flavors. The Jerusalem artichoke puree what the most neutral item on the plate but there was about 1 table spoon worth of it there and it did nothing to add balance to the dish as a whole. The octopus itself was cooked perfectly but again, it was slathered in so much sauce that the subtleties of the meat were lost completely. My guest had the couscous which had the exact same problem: too much going on. Even the couscous was spiced heavily with a sweet-vanilla(?) flavor, adding to the overall intensity and richness of the dish. We would have loved to be able to order a simple, leafy green salad from Infarm (we noticed the vertical farms) on the side to cleanse our palettes, at the very least.
Sehr lecker !
What of the best experience we have ever had!
Everything beyond perfect.
