   I like this restaurant. It is one of about 5 places that rank in Longmont. Maybe in the top three. The management are friendly. Unfortunately, on this occasion we had to leave. The hostess wasn't particularly friendly and we were offered a table right behind the hostess stand - hardly ideal and probably the worst seat in the house. Now in fairness we had a reservation but were late. However, a band was playing and they were so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. It was close up concert level noise. Why is this necessary in a restaurant is beyond me. If the goal was to drive patrons away mission accomplished. Unless your intent is listening to a band you like (and this one seemed good although not my genre) then don't bother.

   Food and service as usual were excellent. Restaurant got a little too noisy for us as they were having music which started up just as we were finishing our meals. They had a good crown coming in for the music which I'm sure all enjoyed.

   We had a reservation at 6PM on Saturday for dinner and by 6:30PM there was a band playing music so loud that you could hear the music across the other side of the street (we know this because we left). We asked to have our table moved and they said they could not accommodate us, they also told us that our food would be delayed because the kitchen was backed up. So we asked for the check as we could not hear a thing and there were people dancing next to our table with no regard for those trying to have dinner. We received the check and they charged us for the appetizers that were delayed. We have no issue with music or dancing but no one told us there was going to music when we arrived and when we asked the hostess why we were not told she said she was she would have been told also as many were complaining. No one at any point in time apologized or tried to solve the situation. We are very disappointed with the lack of service, lack of problem solving and the fact that we were charged for food that was delayed. The food did look good but not sure I would go back knowing that service and communication is not something management cares about

   Love this place. French Onion Soup is superb. Salads are the freshest. Beef stroganoff and other pasta dishes good. Did I mention the flatbread pizzas? Can't go wrong here.

   French wine dinner was incredible. Foie Gras, caviar, duck breast, creme carmel all paired delicious wines. Wine host was very entertaining! What a fantastic experience! Will be back!!!

    I have tried French Onion soup many places -- this is the best I've ever had. Salads are fresh; pizzas are crispy and delicious. I can't rate this restaurant highly enough.

    I honestly have no idea how the chef wound up in Longmont, but I sure won't complain! The New Year's Eve menu and wine pairing were phenomenal, and I was blown away to find out that they do not have a pastry chef. It is rare to find a chef so adept at both cooking AND pastry. The front of house was pleasant and efficient though more laid back and informal than I would expect with the caliber of cuisine, not that I find that problematic. The whole experience reminded me somewhat of "Le Central" that used to be in Denver and the idea that fine dining doesn't have to be pretentious. We will certainly be returning with regularity, I just hope that others around Longmont will follow suit and appreciate having a chef of this caliber in our backyard!

    We love this restaurant. The chef is from Santa Fe and is wonderful. Everything is hand made to order, so sometimes takes a bit longer to get to your table. It's worth it. The French onion soup was the best I've ever had, and I've sampled many over the years. And the sorbet was awesome.

    This was our first visit to La Vita Bella and it's a little hard to rate it because it's not clear exactly what La Vita Bella is trying to be: a restaurant or an entertainment venue. I will say we enjoyed our visit very much - especially because of the music provided by David Mitchell (great sax sound!) and the pianist/singer. I'm sure we will return. The menu is limited. We started with the onion soup, which was very tasty, and my wife ordered stroganoff while I had the bolognese. Both were fine. The drinks (a Negroni and a two glasses of Barbera D'Alba) were excellent and reasonably priced. We had an early dinner so the bar was quite busy and somewhat noisy; however, it quieted down later. Our waitress, Cassandra, was excellent and very pleasant. Overall: La Vita Bella is a good addition to Longmont.

    The meal and service were outstanding. As an added bonus, there was a great band that played after our dinner. We were so grateful that the table was not booked and we were allowed to stay there and enjoy the music.

    I had the caprese flatbread and it was amazing. I’d have it again every time. The French onion soup was the real deal and came out of the kitchen baked in a very hot crock, as it should. My husband had the very substantial burger and said it was really good. Be prepared to eat it with a knife and fork because it’s got so much yummy stuff on it. The restaurant itself was kind of cold—little in the way of ambiance, but the staff made up for it in friendliness and exceptional service.

    My friends and I really enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellent. Two of us ordered Pork Belly Tacos, and one ordered French Onion Soup. We were not all that hungry on this occasion, so it was nice to be able to order appetizers. The Pork Belly Tacos were served in a very interesting way. The meat was on a scorching black rock and was sizzling when it was brought to us. We could control the timing of the meat. It came with a variety of delicious toppings that were different, such as pickled onions, mustard, honey, etc., and it was also served with 5 little corn tortillas to wrap up the pork belly and toppings. The French Onion Soup was pretty as a picture, so we took one:) It was also delicious, according to my friend. We loved our dining experience, and it was good to meet the owners, who told us about their plans for expansion. The servers were very attentive too.

    The tuna was cold and bland in my salad and the meat was overdone and tough in the stroganoff. The presentation was beautiful. The table was cold and it was very noisy. They need to focus on either a music/bar venue, or an upscale restaurant. Not both.

    Overall we did enjoy the meal but I did feel there were problems. The Tuna entree I had was excellent, however the beef in my wife's Beef Stogonof was not at all tender and the fruit sorbet we had for dessert came in lumps of ice. Disappointing considering quite high prices.

    This is the second time we have been here and the food was just as good as the first time. I like the limited menu of fresh food. You can tell they do their best to source locally. They also make sure you are well taken care of.

    The food and drinks were very good. We had the tartare as an appetizer and both had the waygu stroganoff. No complaints on food. The hostess was very helpful. The owner came over and we had a nice chat. But our server seemed distracted. He indicated they were busy but couldn't help to notice he was often talking with a guy up at the bar. Never was able to get my wine ordered to go with my dinner. Then when we asked about dessert drinks and specifically asked about ports, he didn't seem to know what we were asking for. The food is worth another visit and hopefully the service is better.

    Excellent as always. One of our favorite local restaurants. We loke Wednesdays as it is 1/2 price wine night so go there often with friends who have not been before. Fod is always soo yummy. Love their biscuits and bluegrass brunch on Saturdays!

    One of our very favorite front range restaurants. The chef is truly amazing and the place has a great vibe. Took friends who had not been there yet for Wine Wednesdays (all bottles 1/2 off). Interesting wine selection and their list is growing. They have music often which we love as well! The Duck Wings, Ahi Stone Botana, French Onion Soup and the burger (best, hands down) are our go to faves

    Quite different as far as food goes. Loved the mushroom pie and the onion soup was, as our server said, "To die for." One of the best I've ever had. Short staff coverage was the only issue but she was consistently friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

    A lovely and relaxing atmosphere with a friendly staff ! Hanna was amazing and very knowledgeable. We went for our anniversary and sat next to the window watching the bustle of the street and the rain. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully plated. Definitely a new date night spot !

    This WAS our special occasion restaurant. It is now our favorite restaurant in Longmont, for any occasion. Wednesday night wine program with 1/2 off bottles. The Chef is incredibly talented. And only uses fresh, local ingredients. Beautiful building in old town, right in Main Street, with a quaint, comfortable & ambiance. Gotta check out Saturday Bluegrass brunch. 🪕 🎻 🎸

    Loved it! Cool space with a great vibe. Food was amazing. Has become one of our 2 favorite places around. Great flatbread pizzas and the Ahi Stone Botana was creative, clever and excellent. We came on Wednesday which happened to be 1-2 price wine night! 1/2 off ALL bottles so we took advantage! Modest but interesting list! We did a Merry Edwards Russian River Pinot and Regnard Bourgogne Pinot; interesting comparison. They said the list will be expanding which is awesome as I am a wine liver!
