La Lupita [Taco & Mezcal] - Cabo San Lucas
This was clo
The restaurant was full but Anna was great running the dining room. The staff was very efficient, made good recommendations and the tacos were outstanding! We will be back!
Great food but service was not that great
From the moment we entered La Lupita we were made to feel welcome by Ana and the rest of the staff. She guided us through the menu and she told us which of the 25 tacos were her favorite. We ordered 6 to share and they were the best we have ever eaten in all our 20+ years of eating around Mexico. I also enjoyed my first mezcal. We are hoping to get into the sister restaurant in San Jose. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Wow! So good. The appetizers, the tacos, the mezcal, the desserts, the service, the live music, the presentation...it was all on point! My favorite meal of the week!
One of my favorite places in Cabo with the most interesting tacos and outstanding craft beer at a great price. Live music was excellent and not overpowering. We could still easily carry on a conversation. The sister location in San Jose is also great but I enjoy this location in Cabo a little better because of the band's perch on the roof!
It was delicious and a wonderful staff!
We had an amazing meal served by Freddie, and unfortunately we didn't get the name of the 2nd young man. The tacos were amazing!!! The classic pastor will always be my favourite, and the shrimp just narrowly edged out the braised pork for 2nd place. The vibe is cool and the valet parking makes it so convenient! If you're looking for a great dinner, you should go!!!
Overall great as always. A group of 8 of us had dinner. The service was substandard. When our orders arrived they didn’t know who had what. We each ordered a few different tacos so it was very confusing to have to sort out which plate went with who. It was also difficult to understand what each order was as the servers were asking. We were finally able to get it sorted out but it was a bit frustrating when the wait person should help organize. The service also seemed rather slow and inattentive.
My favorite taco is the crusted fish. Highly recommend. Everyone that we’ve dined with has also loved them!
Great restaurant. Gringos love this place, inexpensive tacos, great margaritas, live music from the stage on the second floor. Had the best Chocolate Mousse of our trip. Great place.
Best tacos I have ever had
Best tacos in Cabo
Delicious!! Unique options for tacos!
Very good food, great service, reasonable prices! I loved the baja scallop taco and marinated pork taco, but all the tacos are good! Great Mezcal selection, too.
Best tacos I’ve ever had
Amazing taco spot. Live music was also a nice touch
Fantastic food and had a great band playing
Love this place. Servers are awesome and food is incredible
Went here for our last dinner in Cabo. This place is a hidden gem! They had a live band playing music, an extensive list of mezcal and other tequila. Along with very unique taco options for anyone’s palate. Highly recommend this place to anyone! Wish we found it earlier in the trip because we would have gone back again!!
We had a great time listening to the band....and the food was amazing!!!! You will be seeing a lot of us😊
Best taco place ever!!!!
Great tasting food, very few waiters so it took a while but they were kind. The music was very loud at lunchtime and we weren’t the only table complaining, and the manager did put down the volume when we asked him to do so, much to the happiness of all. We wished they had lactose free milk and alternative milks( like almond or coconut) for our coffees- all good restaurants have these options these days, so it’s a shame. No Café de ollla either, unfortunately. A few more vegan taco options would be great as well! I will definitely go back.
So great in every way!
Food and service are outstanding! Wish they could dial down the music. I’m there for dinner with friends and want to be able to carry on conversation without yelling at each other!!!!!
If I wanted to go to a loud music bar I would have! Too loud to enjoy meal. Wanted dessert but left to go somewhere else!
Turn it down for dinner hours. Crank it after 9pm.
There was a live band when we dined there. The food was great though.
Great live music. Great food for cheap. Excellent staff!!!
Looked highly recommended and sounded like a good local experience. Food was marginal at best. I ordered three different tacos and literally you could not tell which was which except for the “fresh” fish which was so fishy I couldn’t eat it. The one margarita I ordered had no tequila in it. Overall very marginal. Plus I had walked there so was hot and elected to sit in the a/c which wasn’t working. There have got to be better taco places than this with some ambience!
Overall experience was good. The tacos are very interesting and gourmet. Some may find them great and some my think they are a little over the top. I think overall what they set out to serve is done well but they may be possibly a little overrated.
Just an awesome place for tacos! I've visited the other location in San Jose del Cabo a year ago. Liked it but it is a long drive from San Lucas. I visited LaLupita on Oct 11 with 5 visiting friends. EVERYONE in our group absolutely loved the place, the service, the vibe, the live music, the awesome service, everything was outstanding! My two pics for best tacos are the crusted fish taco and the tempura shrimp. Amazing and delicious. The chef came out personally to check on how well we liked everything (nothing but praises from this group!) A huge party was going on in the upstairs area and another large party came in while we were eating, so it is a great place to host big parties too. It isn't a place for a quiet evening dinner, but for a super fun time with amazing tacos, LaLupita is definitely The Place!
Great place! Love it
Food and ambiance is always great, it is a good place for getting together with friends
Overall we had a great experience
This is more than tacos, I would call them gourmet tacos and they even explained that have tacos of the month besides the regular menu. If you are a Mexican fook lover you would try this place.
We lucked upon this yummy restaurant for dinner. We went early, 6:00 and found it relatively empty. This changed later when more people arrived but we were happy for the great table. Mezcal is a house specialty and a couple of our group tried it but it was the tacos that have us still talking about our dinner. Tacos of every stuffing: scallops, braised beef, fish, chicken, etc. They were all spectacular! There was a live band that plays on a rooftop overlooking the courtyard and they were awesome! Unfortunately some exhibitionist women thought it was fun to dance topless in their hotel room overlooking the restaurant. This stopped service for a spell as the servers were more interested in that view than our service.
The only other problem was the tons of flies. Food was removed very promptly but they were really awful. I think going after dark may decrease the amount of flies and it didn't really spoil our dining. We will definitely return on our next visit and highly recommend!
First time, but will go back!
Our server was outstanding as well as the food, drinks and music. Will go again.
Nos encanta su comida y hoy la atención del personal excelente
Muy buen lugar, que bueno que ya estan en CSL!.
Creative taco menu and smoky mescal!
Everything, from the time we walked in until the time we walked out, was absolutely perfect!!!!
Blown away by the flavors and the service. They made great recommendations and did not disappoint. We have been recommending them to everyone we speak to.
