Here at La Boheme you will find an elegant ambiance that will enrich your dining experience. We have beautiful private dining facilities for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or business affairs with seating from 8 to 40. You can choose from a selection of five unique rooms. Disappointment. We were seated near the door by the fire alarm . Big hokes in the wall to look at . 8pm reservation . Seated in the lounge with no service for 1/2hr . Waited till 9pm for our dinner to start .Spent $300 On dinner for 2 . Alot nicer restaraunts for that kind of $$. Loved it our first visit 2yrs ago . Won't be coming back .

My fiancé and I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day, and were sorely disappointed we did. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were unceremoniously ushered into the “lounge” which was a separate room with uncomfortable furniture and absolutely no staff. We sat awkwardly in silence for about 10 minutes without a hello or even an offer of a drink or water. The hostess came back for us eventually and brought us to a table in a separate back room of the restaurant where it was swelteringly hot. We were still not offered drinks or even an explanation of the set menu for the night (at $110 / each nonetheless). It took about 5 minutes before our server came and we did not receive an introduction or even a welcome, simply “what are you having?” We were made to order all courses to start, including the desert. We were told that by ordering desert now it would guarantee its availability at the end of the night. Unfortunately for every course except the main they were “out” and we were presented with the cheapest alternative option from the set menu and weren’t even given an option or told in advance, this different selection was just brought out and dropped at the table. After our main course (which lacked several of the elements the menu claimed it would have) our desert was brought out, and our plates from the main course stacked on our table to make room, not bussed.. we were never offered coffee or tea with desert and when the time came to settle the bill I was not given an option to select my own tip, I simply had to choose one of three percentages on their terminal. Over $300 for a below average meal and terrible experience. This was my first visit to La Boheme but it certainly did not leave me wondering in any way why they are going out of business in mid March - good riddance.

Food was great but nothing special about the restaurant or the service!! They are closing for renovations soon and I think it showed. Hopefully when/if they reopen they can care a little bit more about service, since it is the industry they are in!!

La Boheme has been one of my favourite restaurants for years! You can feel the 105 year old energy in the building - sentimental, charming, and delicious!

We went for a birthday party with a group of 5 food lovers. The spot is older, so we expected the atmosphere to lack a modern essence, but it worked for them and in no way was dingy besides a very faint musty smell. The food was excellent, starters, entree’s and dessert. We had one issue with a steak being undercooked. The waitress was happy to take it back and in a short time brought an entirely new plate with the steak cooked how we liked it. I was skeptical when reading some of the reviews but La Boheme exceeded expectations, proving all those negative reviews wrong. As a group of fine dining connoisseur’s, we all agreed we will definitely be going back.

Tried Sunday brunch with friends from out of town and were pleasantly surprised- amazing croissants, lovely mains and decadent desserts. Located in historic Edmonton Highlands district with easy parking. Server couldn't do enough and threw in a tour of the building as an added bonus. Well worth the visit.
