The krō bär is an eclectic bar with a speakeasy vibe and a passion for spirits and great food with a nod to another era.

Tucked away on Main Street in Bothell, a walkable neighborhood teaming with local art, culture and food, the artfully handcrafted krō bär has been reclaimed from the bones of Bothell’s historic hardware store in the Mohn building. The 16-foot-high tin ceilings, a hanging catwalk and the original wood floors were uncovered and restored.

Please note we are 21 and older only.

Due to the size of our location, we are unable to seat parties of more than 4 guests.

    Service is incredible as always, top notch and so personable. Only complaint for tonight was being told that there was a reservation right after us at 7:30 and we had only about 1.5hrs, and if that reservation showed up we would need to leave. Usually this timeline isn’t a problem for us but our food took literally 1.5 hrs to be made, we were seated at 6pm and our food didn’t show up until 7:30pm. It would have been incredibly problematic if that reservation showed up and we would’ve been told to leave before our food even arrived. they need to figure out their situation here for how to provide a better experience for customers especially given the price of everything here. It isn’t the most welcoming to be told the second you walk in you have a time limit, and doesn’t set up a great feeling to just relax and have a good time.

    Always love visiting Kro Bar. What makes this place so great is the staff - they really make you feel special and important. If you get a seat at the bar, the bartenders are very good at their craft, but also just super friendly and always make you feel welcome. Ordering off-menu drinks is not a problem as each bartender really knows what they are doing and they have the ingredients to make pretty much anything. Highly recommend!!

    Laurel was delightful and made sure we had a great experience. Drinks were delicious and unique, food was delish, and atmosphere reminded me of downtown Manhattan. Looking forward to going back!

    I have been to this restaurant many times and brought a friend who had never been there. The drinks were overly sweet They were out of food And they told us we needed to finish up because they had someone coming in and needed our table when there was many open tables. My friend had just ordered a drink when they told us that. Disappointed that was my friends 1st experience

    Cameron was a fantastic and knowledgeable bartender enjoyed his rafted cocktails and recommendations for spirits it was spot on you can tell the guy knows his stuff. The food was of great quality and very reasonably priced even got to meet the chef who was very pleasant and really did a knock out job with the food with him and his team The vibe was relaxed but fun definitely a place I’d casually grab a quick drink at or take a date too. Would recommend for any occasion

    Service was amazing. Server was very knowledgeable in the drinks and food. Made recommendations which we appreciated. The cocktails were delicious and the food amazing. The cocktails are unique and there is a variety if you want to try a couple. Presentation of drinks were also fancy. I had the pork chop, and my partner the duck. The duck was perfect. Pork chop was served with mashed potatoes, seasoned perfectly. Duck had a berry sauce that paired well. The ambience and mood was unique and put together well. The whole experience was amazing, definitely will be back.

    Always great! Happy hour is a must! Had the Gold Rush, a wonderful Bourbon drink. There was a fresh local tomato salad on the specials sheet. Sinag our bartender was great at suggesting something to suite our taste. He made a super refreshing concoction with Hendricks Gin for my coworker. Servers are really attentive and always delightful!

    Traditional cocktails are great. So many unique cocktails you can't find anywhere else are amazing. The food is also unique and delicious from small plates to meals. Best cocktails in the area and probably the whole Puget Sound.

    Scott, the owner, came out and talked with me and my date to make sure everything was top notch...and it was! Kro Bar is a beautiful hidden little gem. The atmosphere, food, and service were all excellent. I'll be back!

    Outstanding food and exceptional cocktails. Its a small place, but they make the most of the space so it doesn't feel overcrowded. There's a large glass garage door open to the outside seating which creates an open feel when its up. The food is creative, but doesn't sacrifice taste and the same is true of the cocktails. Overall awesome place

    Outstanding cozy little bar in downtown Bothell. Great ambiance, (although a little dark) incredible cocktails and delicious small plates. The old fashioned was the best old fashioned I’ve ever had and the gnocchi was outstanding.

    krō bär deserves 10 stars. This place is a true gem. As you enter, you’re transported to a world with the most delicious cocktails, mouthwatering food and welcoming staff. The space is intimate. The theme of the bar is perfectly executed - from the dark furniture and old suitcases to a black and white film playing above the kitchen area to the book you’ll receive at the end of your visit with your receipt. It feels exactly like a speakeasy. The cocktail menu boasts over twenty concoctions, including three non-alcoholic options. While the “Classics” are made to perfection, it’s the “House Provisions” you have to try. They are creative and complex, yet balanced and fun. The Silent Cry is my personal favorite, but the different variations of Aqua Ardens or The Chotch have given Silent Cry some competition. For those who don’t like cocktails, there are wine and craft beer selections to choose from as well. The food menu is fairly small, but everything I’ve tried has been delectable. I love the burrata, gnocchi Parisienne, chocolate Guinness cake and the lemon shortbread with its heavenly yuzu and lemon curd. Lastly, there’s the staff. “Spiritual Advisor” Cameron is one of the best in the business. Not only does he possess the knowledge and skills to make the most beautiful cocktail you’ve ever tasted, but his personality makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years. I highly recommend reserving a spot at the bar to watch Cameron or Sinag, who is just as awesome, do their magic, teach you a thing or two about cocktails, or create a custom drink for you. I’ve never been compelled to write a review, but krō bär, simply put, is special. I’ve been numerous times, too many to count at this point, and it continues to exceed my expectations each time I visit. It’s a high quality experience every single time. I highly recommend stopping by, just make sure to make a reservation before you do. You won’t be disappointed.

    Drinks were good. Food was very disappointing. Had the duck, which was WAY over salted. Burrata was too chilled and not as gooey as it should have been. Husband had the gnocchi, which wasn’t terrible but did not feel well after and had to beeline for the bathroom when we got back to the hotel. So, go for the drinks but not the food.

    Came in to try the new menu and happy Hour selections. Loved the Gold Rush coctail - Bourbon with Lemon, Honey. Also enjoyed the Blue Glass Farms Lettuces. Really wonderfully dressed with light citrusy notes. The Happy hour Meatballs are a must.

    The drinks are the star here, of course! We both ordered the gnocchi bolognese--the sauce was perfect, but the gnocchi were really over cooked and barely held together. We'll be back though! The burrata appetizer was beyond amazing.
