   Ordered calamari, it was hard and paperlike. It was presented on shredded iceberg lettuce which made the pieces wet. Steaks came out with clumped butter which wouldn't melt because the steaks were cold. The brussel sprouts were over cooked. Macaroni was dry on top as if it had been sitting a while. Service was acceptable. It was loud due to a dj, but the music was good.

   We were seated at 1:30 for our 1:15 reservation. There was a DJ which made it really loud, an odd choice for Mothers Day. The service was very slow, could’ve been due to MD, and the food was decent but it didn’t meet the quality for the price. The edamame appetizer angry version was very flavorful, a. The kids chicken bento was really good. The prime rib was undercooked quite a bit, and the rest of the food was good, just not in proportion to price. We may try again on a non holiday and see if it’s better.

   I understand I dined on a very busy day as it was lunch time on Mother’s Day so I assume there will be hiccups as there likely are at any busy restaurant. However, I made a reservation online almost a week out and still had to wait about 30 mins to be seated. Then once we finally got settled and ordered food. It took them about an hour to get my entree to me. The server offered to comp another drink or a dessert. But by that time I had already had two drinks which is typically my limit and I had brought a cake to share with the table so we had no need to order dessert. I don’t know why they couldn’t just comp one of the drinks I had already ordered? Our server was very kind and did make sure to keep us updated as it seemed like forever before anyone got their food so I certainly appreciate her keeping us posted. I’m sure she was frustrated with the kitchen as well. I ordered the eggs Benedict from the brunch menu. The Benedict part was very good however the fingerling potatoes had no flavor and the asparagus were very salty. And don’t even get my started on the incredibly loud, inappropriate music! They had a DJ setup in the bar area and he was blaring explicit music on a family holiday during lunch hour while it was full of young children! I felt like I was at the club, it was insane and so loud I couldn’t even have a conversation with the person across the table from me! This was my first experience and probably my last.

   Mother's Day lunch. Valeria was very good server. Got a cinnamon bun monkey bread type thing as an app along with lobster potstickers. Sent bun back. A bit overdone on outside, not sweet, too bready, no icing. Potstickers were good. My entree of the chili salmon and fried rice and Brussel sprouts was delicious. Food seemed to take an abnormally and annoyingly long time to arrive but it was busy. Though when we got there it was 1/2 to 2/3 full and the table next to us that came significantly after ordered and were halfway through their meal before we got ours. Food arrived just as I complained and some type of manager was explaining why it was slow with a slight attitude to me but food arrived as we were talking. My expectation of situations like that is maybe to acknowledge and sympathize and maybe offer a small thing like a beverage or an app or something. Rest of food was okay. Not overwhelming. The lobster avocado toast was okay. Anyway overall an okay experience. Overall prices a bit much but we are in a post COVID era and people are trying to catch up. However I'd bet money the prices don't come back down.

   The lettuce wraps,sushi, and drinks were great! Our server was so sweet and informative, all of the staff we countered seemed happy to be there. Good customer service made up for the food. The although the steak was tender and cooked to the perfect temperature it didn’t have any salt or pepper, be sure to ask for the sautéed onions and mushrooms and some salt and pepper. The potatoes didn’t have any seasoning and I wouldn’t get the Mac &cheese. I’ve eaten brunch here it was good, I’d recommend things like the Kobe sliders, flatbread, sushi, etc.

   This place should be shut down. When our food arrived so did the bugs (we ate inside). This was the worst sushi we have ever eaten. Our waitresses was nice. Would not recommend!

    The meal was delicious. The appetizer (dumplings) came cold and were disappointing for the price. The ribs were delicious and so were all the sides that accompanied: a delicious succotash with jalapeños, roasted potatoes and coleslaw. The carrot cake was outstanding and huge.

    Had outside reservations, tried to seat us inside at a high top. Place was not busy. Server seemed disengaged. Forgot to bring lime twice for drink. Food was brought out at individual times vs all together. One of our meals was delayed which we were notified. Brussel sprouts were tasteless. I asked for salt and was given a condiment container full of salt. He brought the check back and just sat it on the table and walked away. Generally, I give places a second chance but I would not return to this location.

    Food took very long only to find out that out order was entered incorrectly so we had to wait longer for out meal. Once the meal came out, my salmon was burned. I like seared salmon but this salmon tasted charred. I sent the food back and ended up not eating. My husband's food was fine once it finally came out.

    Front desk girl with green hair really rude. Walked in she said it be an 1hr 15 min wait to run me an my party out. So I left to my car made a reservation for 15 minutes later and got a table. I understand reservations are almost required but I’ve been going to Kona for 7 years, for their sake bombs. Tell the hostess to not run people out just cause they don’t have reservations. What about first timers who don’t know, Our bill was +100 y’all could of lost out and there was plenty of tables so it was almost insulting to run us out like that.

    My best friend and I went for brunch on Sunday and it was a great. The atmosphere with the live DJ was eclectic. Our server made great recommendations. The portions were plentiful and delicious.

    Ordered the Brainiac, and it was burned on the outside, but cold on the inside. We also ordered 2 all Americans and a Macadamia Nut French Toast. The eggs on the all American were not as we ordered and running, and the sausages were burned. The potatoes were the only pleasant part of the meal. The Brainiac was removed from bill, even so not worth $55 for this meal.

    The food is creative and intriguing - Asian influence with some original twists. We plan to go back over and over to explore the long and enticing menu. The decor is attractive; we noticed the light fixtures and utensils. Service was attentive and friendly.

    Our waiter appeared to be distracted and took quite a long time to get our food. Appetizers came out after the meal. Then one of the meals he never put in. A meal we had placed to go appeared unappealing and we ended up throwing it away. This was definitely the worst experience we had at Kona Grill. Their service at both locations has changed a great deal from me excellent to barely being subpar.

    We had a girls lunch out to farewell a co-worker. Kona was great, did the power lunch menu that they offer, which was plenty of food, then back to work way too soon! Don't hesitate to make a reservation!

    The Quality and level of service was incredibly poor. From the greeter to the reservation, the host all had an indifferent attitude. Made a 7 30 appointment and still had a 20 minute wait. NOT BECAUSE the place was packed, it was not. It was because lots of table were dirty. We finally got seated at a dirty table table. So asked to be moved and was told we would have to go back to the bottom of the cue to start the wait all over again. So we sat there. They never actually wiped off the table just moved the empties. Our server came and was also indifferent in both greeting or helpfulness with a menu that only have certain items on certain days and he was either unaware or just didn't care. Kept it simple and ordered a tea and a margarita. Took another 20 mins for that, the margarita tasted like dishwater. The place was dirty and loud. Over all awful experience particularly for the price point. Visit the LA Cantera location. The North Star location is an embarrassment to the chain.

    I used to really enjoy Kona grill - but this location is terrible! We had the worst service that rarely came around and when she did we had to ask for simple things like silverware, drink refills and soy sauce. The food was ok - but not for how expensive it was. We had a table next to the window with lots of people staring at us as they waiting to be sat at the Cheesecake Factory. Really bad experience and will not go back.

    I found an open table on this app on Valentine's day only 2 hours before i needed it, and it was available for exactly the time i wanted. Waited 3 minutes to be seated and even then they apologized for the delay. Super courteous. The food was amazing. Salad was delicious, steak was savory, rainbow roll was incredible- even our 8 year old liked it (until she found out what it was). The kids complained that the music on the bathroom was too loud but otherwise perfect. Felt bad for the people waiting for a table that didn't use this app.

    Waiter seemed to be a little over whelmed with the amount of tables and took her quiet a while to assist. The majority of the food was excellent except w/ the sliders which where burnt beyond belief. I do believe this was a one off situation because I have had excellent experiences in the past.

    Horrible service! We ordered a mimosa and a beer and didn’t get the mimosa until after we were done with our meal and the waitress said they didn’t have the beer my husband ordered and never gave him a chance to order a different drink as the waitress claimed our ticket got lost. Our sons food didn’t arrive until after we requested the check as we assumed his meal never got placed either. Our water refill had a floaty in it. Do not eat here! Save yourself the time and eat across the way at the Cheesecake Factory,

    The food was not up to par. After our first appetizer and first round of drinks, my wife and I headed for the door. The staff was short handed, so I completely understand the reason why it was a not so pleasurable experience. Our waiter was super attentive, but the value of the food and the overall time we wasted was why I decided to give 1 star.

    This was our first experience dining at Kona Grill. We got in and seated right away due to our reservation. It took our server approx 15 minutes to come and take our drink order. The server did stop by and say she would be back. We ordered 2 alcoholic beverages specifically stating not to bring a specific kind and a lemonade. When the lemonade arrived it was like water with a Jim of lemon lime. The alcoholic beverage was exactly what I asked not to bring. It was corrected. During the drink service our server stopped by and got our appetizer order. The appetizer came out before the drinks did oh and we had not even gave our dinner order. We were finished with the appetizer for a good 10 min before we even made the dinner order. Our dinner order was the Chopped Salad no dressing but with 2 ranch dressings in the side. 12 oz ribeye cooked medium. When the salsa came out there was dressing on it and the Dale normally comes with ho yes mustard dressing. I asked her he lady who brought it out if it had dressing and if it was honey mustard. She took it back and asked the kitchen. They said no it was ranch. As I ate the salad it definitely wasn’t ranch. The steak…so we asked for medium that bad boy came out mooing and coke because the butter didn’t even melt on it. The server saw us cut it open and was like oh wow. So they took the steak off the plate and took it to the kitchen and just through it back in the grill and brought it back out. Haha like what restaurant does that? Even when it came back out it was still cooked in correctly but again what can you do. In our servers defense. It looked like they were the only server in the entire place and they really tried. This is not an establishment we will go to again. It was so not with the money for what we received.

    Where to begin… This was supposed to be a nice family night out to celebrate the completion of a big project. Not grand, but not Outback, either. Reservations were for 5:30; after valet, we walked in at 5:34. The dining room wasn’t full, but we were informed our table needed to be set so we were asked to wait. Up to 5 employees at the welcome station conversed while we waited. No one moved to set up the table, so I assumed a message was relayed to the back to prompt another team to set it. Eventually, one of the men chatting at the welcome station went to set up our table. A woman waved us down to notify us that the table was ready, and she guided us to a table set for 4 (we had a party of 5), and we stood dumbfounded around the table before my wife looked over and saw a table set for five. She suggested that we sit there and the employee agreed with the idea. Our waiter was oblivious. I won’t go long. She didn’t know what KG sauce was - we don’t either. She took our drink order without difficulty - I had to point out the Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon off the menu, but she got it right. After delivering drinks and serving a salad, she completed the order. Market fish, NY Strip, Filet, cheeseburger, & kids’ sliders. It took a long while for our food the be served, but our conversation went well. Kids sliders came 15 mins before everything else. Why? She’s 11. NY strip - good taste. Serving it on a wood board was strange, but that’s their thing. So be it. Market Fish - devoured by a teenager. Nice job, I suppose. Filet - ordered medium rare, delivered looking like a dry sirloin & when cut into, it was like an overcooked, dry sirloin. A manager was summoned, took the sad piece of meat away (after requesting the two bowls holding sides be left at the table - nothing like whipped potatoes to enjoy a-la-carte while you await your steak, another 20 minutes). A new steak was delivered on another board and was fine. Burger - sliders delivered, whatever. They
