Koi - New York
Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crabmeat is wrapped in a thin rice crepe paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.
So noisy had to scream and my voice was so soar when I walked out. Pity food was great.
Restaurant needs a facelift. Service was mediocre. Way overpriced for what it was.
The food was fantastic! The issue was that they hovered over your table and were ready to grab the plates if even if there was food on it. No one asked if we were done. Also we ordered dessert (cheesecake and banana spring rolls) and it took 20 minutes to receive, but with the main dishes we received not 5 mins after we ordered
The food is great and the appetizers are incredibly good.
Baby #2 coming next week
Delicious as always! Crispy tuna is always good as is the miso glazed cod or sea bass. Great service.
Awesome! My favorite restaurant on the planet!!
Amazing as always!
Great contemporary Japanese restaurant, tasty food, attentive service - Michael did a great job. There smaller tables at the window with a view on Bryant Park, larger tables in the main restaurant and a Sushi bar, additionally very good gluten-free menu options. I can only recommend it.
Very, very loud.. hard to have a conversation. We were upstairs in a cramped little table for 2. Food and service fabulous .
Others have come and gone but Koi continues to be a favorite. Loved our dinner. Christopher was a great host and service was terrific.
Great culinary experience
I highly question the current overall rating of this restaurant which was my main reason to try it out. I felt the food was very mediocre, especially for their pricing. Restaurant feels very much like a 'wannabee', especially in comparison with some of their peers. Ambiance feels outdated.
Great place to go for a drink, group dinner, and date night out. The food is wonderful and has great flavor. I'd recommend the Steam Sea Bass.
The ambiance is great and the music is at a moderate level so you can have . a conversation with your date or company.
The service is well. Able to articulate and recommend dishes as well as polite. The level of service I receive as just, right!
I'd recommend Koi
It was wonderful, love this place.
Fabulous tastes, fun lively atmosphere. Don't miss the salmon carpaccio and short rib buns!
Very good and fresh sushi and tuna. Delicious. It is pricy though.
Great food and service as always. Unfortunately always late in seating.
Great service. Good food. Very overpriced for Japanese food.
The food was nearly as amazing as always (I say almost as we must have accidentally ordered too many items that came with the same acidic soy related sauce). But there were so few people that it was a bit eerie. 10 years ago on a Saturday night there would have been a crowd so large you could not get to the check in desk. Last night the room got to max 50% capacity during our time. Not sure what is going on. Hoping it is a Memorial Day fluke as I love this place despite it's amazingly high prices and would like to see it stay in business.
It was super expensive for what you get. Couldn’t understand the waiter and that caused some errors in the order. Dinner with dessert and a class of wine is about $100 each person. Better value elsewhere. The miso soup was very salty.
Super upscale experience - amazing food - fast service - have been to this restaurant for both business and pleasure - it is a win every time!
wonderful food, beautiful restaurant. Ambiance is great after most people leave, it's just too loud at peak times. Service was good but slow.
A great venue with all round excellent food. The crispy rice is a staple dish that always impressed. There is really nothing that can go wrong on the menu. The Tuna with foie gras is a well done dish, with masterful taste. The drinks are always top notch and the service is above the rest often. Sometimes the front desk staff can be a little persnickety, but in general, this place is excellent and someplace I've been going to for over 10 years.
Water refilling was incredible -we never got to the bottom of our glasses and the glasses aren’t that large. Sushi very good and staff friendly to answer questions.
Everyone in our party felt it was a top 10 meal in life. Soooo good
As usual everything was perfect and the staff are the most attentive and nice that I’ve seen without being annoying. We were also there with an 8 month old baby and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her. I always make a stop here every time I am on New York.
Always excellent sushi. Consistently good food and service. Great ambiance and right across from Bryant Park. Def recommend.
Excellent service great food. Very professional staff.
Great food as always. Service was great. The warm spinach and mushroom salad came out cold so we sent it back. When it returned, it was only slightly warm but still tasty. I could tell the server was frustrated, so obviously this dish is a pain point for the kitchen. If it's marketed as warm, I would expect it to be warm throughout. But it was still delicious as I remember it to be.
Great place great vibe it was buzzing on a Friday night. We had a blast!
Spectacular Asian Fusion cuisine. The Rock Shrimp and crispy rice appetizers were very interesting with balanced spice and flavorful seafood. The double tuna roll featured a buttery sashimi tuna on a spicy tuna roll...great combo. Nice view overlooking Bryant Park complemented by thoughtful, attentive service.
Great fusion food! Great place to spend the evening with your close friends!
Great service and outstanding food. Pricey, but worth it.
Amazing sushi. Quality is best in class. Cant really go wrong with anything on the menu. Salmon carpaccio and northern lights roll are my favs.
Food was exceptional. We ordered a bunch of small plates and each was more delicious than the one before. I could not recommend Koi more enthusiastically.
No gastes tu dinero en este lugar, la comida es regular , el servicio fue rápido aunque la mesera muy poco amable.
No regresaríamos nunca.
Valor precio calidad no vale en absoluto la pena
