   Generally good. The ribs , sautéed vegtables were great. Pad Thai was dry; but kitchen took it back and fixed it good. Bibimbap Pot rice was not crispy. Vodka spicy cocktail was very good.

   this was my second time at the restaurant, the first time the food made up for the service. we waited over 30 min just to get water. then when we finally did order it felt like they just threw everything at us so there was no room to eat at the table.and then on top of that the food was salty. just not a good experience this time. maybe Sundays are the day to go, but it really wasn't that busy Friday night.

   The food was good and the tasting menu was a great way to try all the different things. The pork belly was some of the best we’ve ever had and the vegetables in curry and sides were excellent. Waitstaff was pleasant and helpful. The front desk was extremely rude. The young man at the front told us we didn’t deserve to keep our reservation- we arrived 7 minutes late and had called ahead about the fact that we would be late because we were driving in from over an hour away and ran into a traffic accident. He was very unkind despite 10+ empty tables that remained empty the entire time we were there. He told the woman who showed us to the table not to give us any of the good spots.

   Service here was meh, outside servers were slow and seemed disinterested at times. Umbrellas were not secured properly and blew over several times hitting patrons. They didn't have most of the listed beers available. Food is good.

   We enjoyed the whole fish, Pad tyi w/ shrimp, and a salad. Everything was excellent. Service was great. We sat outside by the water and truly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.!

   We arrived early & waited an hour to be seated. The waiter was rude. They were out of the bulgogi and kimchi rice which we were not made aware of until the customers seating beside us told us. We sat for 30 minutes and never received our drink order. When we asked our waiter he was rude and unhelpful. The customers next to us advised the waiter was in a nasty mood which ruined their experience. We spoke with the manager who was pleasant. We decide to leave. We never received our drinks and we never ordered food.

   Our group waited for over an hour for a table that we had reserved in advance. They tried to fit 9 of us in a table for 6. The food was dry and mediocre at best. Would nto recommend nor return given poor service.

    They were out of many food items as well as much of the beers. It was so bad that it became comical. What we had was good. But my dish was my third choice since they were out of my first two choices. It’s too bad I hate to leave bad reviews.

    We sat for 30 minutes before a server came up to help us. A busboy dropped off 3 waters for our table of 5 in those first 30 minutes, no other service. This restaurant is terribly understaffed, and the hostess is apathetic and unhelpful. The front of the house is a mess. The food is ok, not as good as it was when it opened.

    The restaurant was out of 4 entrees. There were not adequate servers. My rice came after I had finished my meal. The stir-fried vegetables were soggy and swimming in sauce. The manager took off half the price of our meals.

    This was not a good experience. Took a really, really long time to get three expensive dishes. Should have just bailed after we sat at the table for half an hour without seeing the waitress. She was clearly very overworked. Not sure what's going on with this restaurant but can not recommend. The food wasn't bad but it might have been because we were just incredibly hungry by the time it arrived.

    The food was great once we got it, but either our server did not put in two of our dish orders or the kitchen forgot them. It took an additional 45 minutes to get those two dishes after we had finished the first few. This seemed to happen to a few tables around us too. Maybe they were just having an off night but it made the meal take much longer than expected in a loud restaurant where it was tough to have a conversation while we waited.

    We ate an early dinner outside at Kaliwa on one of the first 80-degree weekend days of May. I imagine staffing is a challenge at most restaurants. Staff here were pleasant but clearly overwhelmed. We got our food, delivered by servers who seemed uncertain whether they were delivering the right dishes to the right table. The poor folks at the table next to us waited, and waited, and waited. The Vegetable Green Curry was the best of the dishes our group of four tried; it had a little bit of the heat we expected. The other dishes seemed designed for timid taste buds.

    Good experience. Food was delicious but a bit on the higher side. The restaurant staff had a few callouts on a busy weekend but if you had reservations, super accommodating and deserves recognition for that

    We bought the chef’s menu. Expensive, so our expectations were set very high. Food was “mushy”, and tasteless - especially the curry and shaved ribeye. Staff should be managed better too. Observed horseplay by wait staff.

    This place was horrible! The food was bad and the service was even worse! We didnt get served for a long time and had to ask to get a waiter. They brought one dish out and not the other so that the one dish was cold and had to be sent back to be heated when they finally brought the others! The food was of poor quality! It is a tourist trap with bad food, awful service and inflated prices! We had a really bad experience with this restaurant! Don’t go when you are in the area! Go elsewhere!

    The service was slow and the staff was disorganized. It took a long time to order, when orders arrived, they were incorrect. Main courses all arrived at different times. The food was good but overpriced and not particularly creative. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences that I have ever had. I was treating out-of-town guests and had to apologize repeatedly for my restaurant choice.

    Didn’t get our first portion until an hour after seating. Some of it was tasty, but others were bland. We had to leave after 100 minutes because of other plans and take the last course to-go. Lots of items were unavailable as well. Just a really disappointing experience and clearly need more staff to better serve guests.

    They didn’t have a seat available when we arrived with reservations, they didn’t allow us to select individual meals from the menu. They said we had to do the chef selection. They ran out of certain food and we weren’t able to order it for the table. The overall experience was horrible for Mother’s Day.

    Went there for the Mother’s Day lunch. Great location on the waterfront. Food was okay but as we were a party of 6 only option was to use the Chef’s choice. Then they served the appetizers and the main course even before the drinks were served. Service was almost nonexistent. Very bad experience.

    The service and food are great but for large parties, choosing from a Chef menu as a family style dinner was too complicated. Large Parties have a very broad requests which made it very complicated to choose from a few items. With background noise speaking to a table of 20 guests is practically impossible for all hear and make the decision. It would be a great idea if groups can also order individually for their those individuals who have specific dietary restrictions. Also, paying can be difficult for larger parties due to limit on how many ways the bill can be split within the computer system. large parties need to be aware before arriving thinking they can pay individually.

    Did not have 3 of the 5 selections of red wine Ordered a bottle of white and they brought out a different brand then what was ordered with no explanation Did not bring food out in timely manner and then blamed the table for buying ala carte rather than fixed price menu It got good reviews by the powers that be but it was a tremendous disappointment

    Don't go to Kaliwa unless you are ready for possible problems with your reservation. The manager is rude, arrogant, and ready to send you away if he decides to hold a table for another party. After I made my reservation on Open Table I contacted the restaurant and was assured we'd have an outdoor table as my nephew is immuno-compromised and can't eat indoors at restaurants. When we arrived there was an outdoor table available but the manager refused to seat us claiming we did not have a reservation. When I showed him the OT reservation he checked again and admitted we did have a reservation but it was for inside seating. So there we were on Saturday at 7:00 with no place to go for dinner and an awful feeling after dealing with the manager. I understand outdoor seating is difficult for restaurants but the manager wasn't the least bit concerned about our situation. He was disinterested and obviously ready for us to leave. We have eaten at Kaliwa serval times but won't again.
