   We went as a group of 4. We all got different meals and all the food was delicious. Love that the menu changes with the season to give a better farm to table feel. Would recommend and will be returning for our next get together.

   We are so sad to be moving away from Lexington because we will miss our weekly date nights at Jean Farris. We adore Chef Cooper and his food, bar program is phenomenal, and Jean is awesome as always.

   This is our absolute favorite spot in Lexington. The food is excellent, the ambiance is serene, and the Farris family is extremely friendly and welcoming. I just cannot recommend them enough :)

    Service was terrible , food was awful, wine was gross . Not worth $300 . Took 45 mins just to get 1st course . Stick to Steak & potatoes please .

    We ate there for Valentine’s Day dinner. The atmosphere was nice. I imagine the preplanned meals had some to do with the food issues. The Lobster Bisque had no bits of lobster and was barely more than room temperature. My wife’s halibut was overcooked. Our crème brûlée was unlike anyone else’s. It was in small cups about half the size of the others served and had no glaze on the top. We had also noticed that the other diners had bread served and we had not. When we asked our server her comment was “ some people didn’t want it.” It had potential to be a wonderful experience and with a small amount more attention to detail could’ve been.

    For the amount paid, quality of the food expectation was much higher. We asked to sit at a different table and were told, ‘it would mess up our rotation”.

    Our Valentine’s Day dinner was amazing! I keep thinking about the mushroom toast and how I would like more of this wonderful appetizer. Everything was delicious, hot and came at the appropriate time. It was a fabulous dining experience!!

    Jeannie and Cooper and all the staff outdid themselves when I was there for my Birthday celebration! They always do! The food was over the top amazing! And I felt so special!! I love them and I love this place! Just had the Sunday Brunch Valentine’s Menu! It was exquisitely done. Food was amazing! Biscuits and gravy were the best I’ve had and the Eggs Benedict was top notch. Followed by the chocolate covered strawberries! Perfect! 💖

    The food was amazing, topped and exceeded expectations. Tried the wine tasting flights and they were so different and cute, something that we had not tried before. The vibes were amazing and so unique. Our waitress was amazing with providing us with her recommendations as well.

    My date got the portobello steak, it was good however the portion sizes were shockingly small. The hearts desire dessert was also shockingly small. And the filo pastry in my opinion was not a good choice. However the lamb dinner was SPECTACULAR. So many flavors and textures. As well as the truffle fries.

    Jeanie had burgers as a choice last weekend when we went to Jean Farris Winery & Bistro. There were 3 very happy people that evening when we were there. The 4th was delighted with mushroom risotto. We had great cocktails - thank you, Rob and the food was wonderful- Thank you, Cooper. And as always the wine was divine. A great end to the weekend.

    After a busy weekend it was great to dine at Jean Farris with our friends. It was very good - as always. It was nice to be able to watch the football game on the television in the bar. We had a nice quiet meal with good food, wine and company. We will be back.

    This was by far one of the best dining experiences I have had to date. The food and wine was phenomenal, and served to high end perfection. We never lifted a finger to fill a glass. Our chef and the owner came to greet us and answer any questions we might have. They specifically asked about other allergens in our party, since with had someone with ciliac eating with us. How thoughtful. There were so many GF choices, too. The music was great and we had so much fun exploring the entire menu with our party of 7. We will be back again and again, but especially to try out the selection at the beautifully stocked bar. Thank you for a phenomenal experience!

    Bartender was awesome, waitress was considerate and professional, wine and drinks were delicious as well as the food. The perfect stop for my friends who had not visited the winery. Next time we'd like to take the tour.

    Four of us had dinner at Jean Farris on January 15. The drinks and food were wonderful. Greatly appreciated were the beef bourguignon, the filet and the always delicious mushroom risotto. We will totally be returning.

    We have not been here in several years, but heard it was under new management and with a new chef. We decided to give it a try for New Year’s Eve, and that was a huge mistake. They were severely shorthanded, as at least three people called in and did not show up for work. It was obvious that they were working with a skeleton crew, but our waiter did his absolute best to try and make us feel welcome. The very limited menu and running out of dishes throughout the evening was frustrating. The meal took far longer than it should have. I felt badly for our waiter, but will not return to this restaurant.

    We love this restaurant. Incredible food and wine. But this visit was bizarre - owner was our server and she acted strange. She took our drink order and then came back asking if we want to order drinks. Same thing with our meal. She came to check on us way too frequently and touched me like we were friends. We could hear her screaming in the kitchen. Everyone else was great. The music went from Christmas to LOUD pop music and she was singing in the kitchen. We won’t ever forget this night out.
