Good for special occasions

Chef David Jansen brings his experience and white coat to Mt. Airy with an exquisite farm to table experience. Chef Jansen honed his craft for two decades as the executive chef of the Four Season’s Fountain Restaurant, garnering many accolades and awards. When he discovered the "Cresheim Cottage", he was inspired by the historic nature of the building, dating back to the 1700's, in the heart of the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. Combining contemporary American cuisine in a beautifully restored, historic building that offers upscale casual dining. The emphasis is on great tasting food & beverages crafted from local, organic & artisanal producers. Chef David Jansen and team's dedication to cooking—not just by the seasons, but by the day— has garnered praise for the food they serve and the innovative and inspired way in which it is presented. Perfect for everyday dining or special occasions, Jansen is an experience not to be missed.

Jansen is our go to anytime we want an exceptional dining experience. From the moment you are greeted to the time you walk out the door, you receive white glove service without feeling stuffy. The food itself is top notch and presented beautifully. I would recommend Jansen highly!

Jansen is a newer, date night restaurant for us. Great food, white tablecloths, wonderful service. The chef has top rated hotel pedigree. Here, you feel a warm welcome at the door. And very happy diners. Can't wait to go back

We had a lovely evening. Our waiters were wonderful....very knowledgeable and friendly. We were celebrating our friend's birthday and they enjoyed the night. My husband felt that the food was very good yet overpriced.

Jansen has done a great job renovating what was a tired but beautiful building. The staff gets all the finer touches of a special occasion restaurant just right. Significantly more refined than other places in the area. Great date/special occasion spot

We had an excellent mean at Jansen last night. It’s been about a year since we were last there. The food was as good as we remember, and the quality of the service has improved in a very welcome way (last time it felt a bit uneven and intrusive; this time that seemed fully corrected). Wine list is very good. We enjoyed the specials — pumpkin soup, flank steak, tuna steak. The Salmon and pork loan also very good. Didn’t get a chance to sample the desserts as the appetizers and entrees were sufficient to fill us all up! The ambience was great. Bustling and friendly. We look forward to coming back again soon!

My friend and I had a fantastic experience at Jansen's. Food was excellent as was the service. Waiter could not do enough to please us. I think there should be more marketing to showplace this restaurant. Perhaps articles in the Main Line times, Inquirer and Chestnut hill Local. I will be sure to revisit Jansen's again in the near future.
