   Very nice restaurant with great ambiance and vibes. The staff are amazing, pleasant, courteous and welcoming, I would like to name Irean and Rahi for their excellent service and note them as great assets to the restaurant. My family and I had a wonderful time, and I thank Izakaya’s management, chef, and involved stafff for making our night memorable.

   We had 3 different waiters during the night. We sat there with our starters for over 15min without anyone coming. Then they came with the main course (without us asking for it) and we had to ask to change plates. They also forgot the water we had ordered, we had to remind them. Table was not maintained during the night. When we mentioned to the manager we were not expecting the main course he didn’t react or apologize at all. Food as below average, service needs some serious work.

   Amazing from the moment you start walking down the entrance, great greeting when you walk towards your table. The food is top notch quality as are the drinks! The staff were so great in explaining whatever you needed more info on, and as it was our anniversary, gave us an extra special treat! Definitely loved it and would recommend

   We were very disappointed with the quality of the food as it's an expensive set menu. All dishes were smothered in butter, over cooked and served with exactly the same sauce.

    A fantastic teppanyaki dinner at Izakaya, service of waitstaff and chef were fantastic. Main course a little too salty but great portions. Value for money most definitely.

    Overpriced, wagyu not cooked as requested, shrimps and scallops frozen and same sauce used for both which is a shame. The overall food served was ok but nothing special, price charged is insane.

    I wish I could give this place more stars. Everything was exceptional. The quality of the food was superb and the customer service amazing! All staff were very attentive and knowledgable about all dishes and drinks. We had a lovely dinner and we will be definitely going back there.

    Izakaya is a wonderful restaurant that creates an authentic Japanese ambience. The staff were amazing and attentive, especially Sarina and the enigmatic Wasabi Girl. The food is absolutely delicious and one of the best I've had outside of Japan itself. The Teppanyaki chefs were experts and captivating too. All around, an excellent experience.

    Nice experience. The staff are friendly and always happy to help. The Sashimi and Gyozas were very nice. The Black Cod was so good we had to order another portion. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.

    It is a wonderful place to have a quiet dinner. The chef Muhammad Zain is a lovely chap. Good food and lots of fun. Highly recommend booking a Teppanyaki experience with him.

    We had an amazing time. The service delivered by "Wasabi Girl" was outstanding, she was fun, very attentive and created a great atmosphere. The whole experience was great, we have been staying at the JW Marriott Marquis for over three months now and wished we had tried Izakaya sooner. We hope to be back one more time before the end of our stay at the hotel. Well done Izakaya, it was a memorable experience with fantastic food!

    The staff, and the service, was very attentive. The food was one of the better options at the JW Marriott. As you might expect with this type of place it is high energy with a pleasant ambiance. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner in the area.

    Very good quality sushi & sashimi! Good choice with uni, unagi, hotate and some white fish more than just the usual salmon and tuna. Good choice of sake with knowledgeable somelier. The name Izakaya could be a bit misleading though. Table seating, sushi bar and teppanyaki seats. The tipical japanese Izakaya with its simple small dishes is a bit missing. The ones travelled to Japan will understand what I mean. But overall a good choice for Japanes in Dubai.
