Friday nights we have a live reggae band. Come lime with us!
All of the hours between 7:00pm-10:00pm we will need at least 24 hours notice and a credit card on file since this will be a private dining experience. Our regular business hours are from 7:00pm-10:00pm Mon, Wed, Thurs, Saturday and Sunday.

    Made the rsvp through the open table table only to get there and was told it was closed for a event. Why let people book rsvp if your not open. Just disappointed because I drove all the way there for nothing.

    Everything was perfect except my food lacked flavor and was one of the most expensive on the menu. Service was great and so was the ambiance. It’s off a busy street but was still relatively quiet for an early Saturday afternoon brunch with friends

    We came during a live music night over Memorial Day weekend. The music was fun but way too loud. The staff were friendly and made the place feel like a cozy family-run restaurant. We both had the barbecue jerk chicken with sides and it was very tasty, as was the rich chocolate cake. Also, the owner gave us one free dinner to make up for cancelling my previous reservation due to an emergency. Enjoyable evening and we’ll definitely go back.

    Overall, I enjoyed the food and ambiance at Island Boy Cafe. I thought the buffet price of $40 for a plate was very expensive given the fact that you could only get food one time. The $40 didn't even include the beverage. That was an extra charge. Getting food twice would be better or reducing the price of the plate. There wasn't any Caribbean food during brunch. The food also took a long time to be put out in the trays and options weren't available right way. We waited a while for them to finish cooking so we could get food. The restaurant would benefit from having the regular menu as an option in addition to brunch and actually having some Caribbean options at brunch (roti, fish fry, red beans and rice, plantains, Johnny cakes, etc).
