My date and I had a lovely evening. We went on a Wednesday and found out that they have half priced bottles of wine (for bottles under $100) every Wednesday. The whole meal was delicious but our absolute favorites were the gnocchi with bacon and butternut squash and the tiramisu panna cotta! Our server Mila was welcoming and friendly and she gave us excellent service. I didn’t catch the name of the woman who brought us wine, but she was very nice and conversational. We were very satisfied with our experience!

Great food. Host and wait staff seemed very inconvenienced by having to wait on us. We went to Luca last week and it was such a marked contrast between the impeccable level of service and friendliness.

Went for Denver restaurant week. Super disappointed in the food the steak tasted awful. In a group of 6, not one could actually eat the meat.

I wouldn’t go again during restaurant week because the food felt very rushed. Our pasta was under al denté, the salad was under dressed, and the risotto was gluey. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was great. With how good other review are I might try again another time.

Took over 2 hours to get all of our food. Shrimp was over cooked and potatoes were undercooked. Our server was not concerned about it. Had to flag down manager. They comped it but they didn’t seem apologetic. “Sorry restaurant week is crazy”

A group of 8 friends and I were visiting from out of town, and I had booked a reservation here. The host was very kind before the reservation and when confirming, informed us that we had booked for outdoor dining which was not heated or enclosed. They moved our reservation to a different time for inside dining which was thoughtful. When arriving, our table wasn’t ready for us until 30 minutes after our reservation time - and when we sat the table wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. We were informed that, as it was restaurant week (which was a surprise us out of towners) we could only order from the $45 set menu. They were out of a series of options, but worked to accommodate folks with dietary restrictions. Our server was thoughtful and made suggestions to improve our experience. After we ordered food, the pacing of the meal was poor. We didn’t receive our first course for close to 40 minutes after ordering. Our second courses ( different pasta dishes) were various degrees of undercooked. Specifically, my pappardelle dish, was served to me still raw. My party were disappointed with their 3rd dishes, all of which had similar problems of lack of flavour and seasoning. I had ordered a spaghetti shrimp dish, and was served more or less butter noodles with no seasoning whatsoever. This has ended up being a considerably expensive underwhelming experience. I understand that restaurant week is likely tough for restaurants, and I imagine this was a case of over booking, under staffing, and poor planning of service. For this reason, I’d not recommend dining here on restaurant week.

I don’t generally leave negative reviews, I prefer lifting up restaurants and showing when I’ve had a positive experience, but i feel compelled to share our experience. My group and I attended Il Posto for restaurant week, and we were so disappointed. The service was incredibly slow. I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt as “working out the kinks” for the event…but it’s hard to do that when it’s a set menu…there isn’t much variety going on in the kitchen so I find it hard to understand how it took 45 minutes between each course. The food itself was subpar, too! A lot of it lacked flavor, or had too strong of certain flavors. Too much anchovy here, too much anise there, not enough salt to enhance the olive oil, some parts came out cold. Taste is subjective, of course, but I couldn’t even finish my courses because it wasn’t enjoyable. They also sadly ran out of a key ingredient in one of the first dishes that I was looking forward to trying…which again I get that they were probably working out the kinks….but how do you run out when we had one of the first reservations of the evening! I spent a very long time researching a restaurant to try for restaurant week, so it was very disappointing to have the experience we had. Positives were that the sommelier was very knowledgeable, and our server was kind. I also do love the chandelier. I hope Il Posto works out the issues for the rest of restaurant week.

Everything was spectacular. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco, had phenomenal burrata, given educated direction through the wine list, the lamb special was the show stopper…but we went on with dessert anyway. I definitely recommend Il Posto to anyone looking for a special Italian meal.

Not really sure what the fuss is about this place. Likely won’t be back as there’s better places to go with less attitude and better food. Started off the night arriving a few minutes late for reservation (4 to be exact)- which I called ahead about- and was curtly told by the hostess that it was “fine but your table is booked again for 7:45”. So in other words, better chew fast to make up for that whopping 4 minutes. This is not a place for a romantic dinner, noise levels are high with everything bouncing off the hard surfaces, you’ll be lucky to hear your server let alone your company. More of a club/bar vibe- which was unexpected considering the price point and description. The food…..I’ve had better. Some items arrived room temp. It was meh. Not worth the expense. Finished our meal around the time our table was “booked again for 7:45” and there were more than several empty tables and booths around. I can’t imagine they were all reserved- so I’m not sure what the big deal was to make sure my husband I were rushed out the door. NYC/Boston prices and pretentious attitude in a little city, without any of the actual substance to back it up. As a long-time, but well traveled Denverite, I’m not impressed. Disappointing.

We arrived very excited and on time to our reservation for our 8 year anniversary. To start our server took way too long to take our order. The suppli was bland and over fried - 3 bites of suppli for $9. Our pasta arrived an hour and a half after we sat down. My wife got the risotto- $24 for a plate of sloppy rice. I got the pappardelle - it arrived undercooked or “Al dente” according to the staff. I reluctantly agreed for it to be recooked even though I’d waited 90 minutes for this dish. 15 minutes later our server bring up my pasta, looks around confused, then walks away. She comes back a minute later with my pasta again, repeats the confusion and walks away. A minute later a different server comes over with the same bowl of pasta and asks if it was mine. I said yes and she dropped it off but I still had to wait another two minutes for them to bring more silverware, as they cleared my first set. One bite in and it is more undercooked than the last dish. I asked for them to clear the entree from the bill and they agreed, and we proceeded to dessert. They delivered the wrong dessert to my wife and the cookie on the side of the gelato was so bad my wife spit it out “taste like a bad egg” as she described it. We asked for the check, and waited. Our server returned to the adjacent table, checked with them. Returned to the adjacent table and delivered their check. We continued to wait and the server returned and asked if we needed anything. Yes… the check… a different runner returned with the check and thank god we could pay with a qr code on the receipt so we didn’t have to wait on our waiter any longer. By the time we left we’d been there for well over two hours. Sorry got a bit carried away. Very dissatisfied

We heard good things about this restaurant, but left pretty disappointed. Unfortunately, our server Keith had no personality, and didn't care to have any interaction with our table. He never told us the specials, never asked how our food or drinks were when they came out. The gentleman that poured us our water and delivered the apps gave us more info and better service.(He was the one that informed us of the great specials for the evening) Food was just okay. Tartare and focaccia were good, pappardelle was bland. Flaming Crème brûlée was great! (I’m guessing another special because it was not on the menu)

I went here for my birthday for the first time, took about 10 mins to be “greeted” by server after being ignored as others walked past several times. A simple hello or anything would’ve been nice. Next mistake was sitting upstairs, way too noisy (had to repeat myself many times to waiter) and some funky vibe with the staff up there “just doing the job” and not making it a pleasant or welcoming dining experience. I thought I was going to have an awesome Italian meal for my birthday! But the menu is really limited and not much in the way of pasta options, so I had risotto which I can pretty much get anywhere. Won’t be back, but maybe your mileage will vary.

It's tough. Scored a last second reservation and drove all the way from the burbs to get there. Lucked out and got a parking spot right in front. After that, it got a little weird. Posto is one of those places where ownership let's the employees dress however they want. I get it. Staffing is tough and the downtown millennials want to express themselves, but they stand out b/c they don't match the guests wardrobe. They are dressed down and besides a few servers, avoided eye contact at all times. If you're going to give your employees the options of dressing how they want, the bare minimum should be where their clientele is at. Ripped jeans and sneakers? I guess... Waited 8 min to be greeted but the server made up for it. Of course, get sat with no menus and the QR code was on the table. It's SOOO dark in the restaurant and I know it probably saves a few bucks not getting menus reprinted, but seriously. NO ONE LIKES THESE. Server graciously offers to get us real menus but why have this extra step? Have the host ask. It's a dark restaurant and no one on a date wants to keep having to open their phone and get the blue light. Server made good recommendations on the charcuteries but were out of the one of the meats. No worries-he found us a great one. Crackers were trash. Who thought burnt crackers was clever? LOL. The board was severely missing either more honeycomb/jam and real bread. Don't overthink charcuterie IMO. Risotto was good, but the pappardelle was thrown in the trash at home. I didn't have the heart to tell them so I took a to-go box. Sorry for wasting the $. So underwhelming and under seasoned. MOD stopped by and acknowledged the notes on the visit and server brought out a prosecco toast. Nice touch. Thank you. We won't be back, but we appreciate you having us. Also observed a server drinking something out of a port glass behind the bar. Wine/spirit samples should come during preshift or once all guests have left. Again, class it up a bit.
