We are always treated wonderfully at Il Bel Lago. Greg is a very good server who takes charge and makes you feel confident that he will look after your every need. He is one of the top three servers I have ever had anywhere.

This is my third visit, and I have never been disappointed. They have fantastic food and wonderful drinks. There’s an abundance of choices on the menu and they all sound delicious. My absolute favorite is the Johnny Londoff meatball. I would love to have the recipe!

Food was excellent. Service was slow and lacking a bit of polish as all the servers were practically running around the restaurant. Our particular server rushed through explanations and forgot a few things along the way. The food was so good that we’ll definitely be back despite the slightly chaotic experience.

We ordered the red snapper special. It was very good but the whole meal was a little oily. The waitress although very nice, seemed extremely rushed, took a while to get our bread with no butter. we had to ask for it. Took a while to get but then the bread was cold. The waitress never refilled our water glasses. She did recommend a great, mid priced Chardonnay we were happy with.I scheduled on OpenTable and mentioned it was a birthday celebration. No one asked me about that. Or no special cupcake or piece of dessert for the birthday person. I’ve had many other restaurants bring a little something for the birthday person or at least ask me what I wanted to do about dessert.

Server was good. However, food was just ok. Entrees were either too sweet or laden with too much gravy/sauce. Salads & bread were the best part of the evening dinner. Not good enough to go back a 2nd time for dinner. May consider going for a salad for lunch.

From the moment we walked in the door till the moment we left it was absolutely wonderful! When I made the reservation I let the restaurant know that our good friends were in town from Arizona, and they loved Italian food. They made sure that we all had a great experience. The food was amazing, our waiter was amazing. One of our very favorite nicer restaurants for special occasions like this one.

We loved our anniversary dinner here. We were welcomed by the owner/manager with Happy Anniversary wishes and were pleased to see a bustling dining room. Layla, our server, was wonderful. We enjoyed the red snapper/crab seafood special, pasta with onions & guanciale, a delicious spinach/Gorgonzola/walnut salad, and both the limoncello cake and the house version of tiramisu. Milk Dud martini was a sweet treat. Service throughout was well-executed and all of our dishes were prepared beautifully. Il Bel Lago is truly a Creve Coeur gem!

Amazing service and great food as expected from previous visits. Host addressed by first name, remembered info from reservation on anniversary and offered congratulations as did the waitress. At the end of the meal again offered congrats and brought an unexpected Tiaramisu for both for the special ocassion.

Our food was outstanding. The President Regan Bow Tie Pasta never disappoints. The Veal Saltimbocca was beautifully presented; the veal tender and flavorful. Both meals were served piping hot. We split the Eggplant Stacked Salad, a true favorite. Simply delicious. Our server was pleasant, but didn’t introduce himself. We had to ask if there were any specials. He did not return to our table to pour our wine nor ask if our meals were okay. We asked for more bread, and finally got some by asking one of the table helpers. Our server did return with dessert menus. All and all, it was a pleasant dining experience.
