The food is always good and the service is decent. They don't rush you through your meal, so if you don't like a laid back atmosphere, this isn't the place for you. It seems like they have regulars from the area, which is always nice.

Idylwood Grill reopened for lunch so my wife and I were both working from home on the same day and decided to try the restaurant after friends recommended it. It was delicious. The seafood pasta in particular had generous seafood portions. Everything was great - highly recommend and will come again.

Had an amazing first Mother’s Day experience for my wife and our newborn. This is one of our favorite dinner restaurants and our go-to for special occasions. Never had brunch here before, so we tried and it was amazing! The branzino was crispy yet savory, best in the area (even better than Nostos). The duck breast is my wife’s favorite so she was craving her usual. And as usual, the warm welcoming service with Dennis and crew always feels like you’re dining at family members house!

Over the past 20 years, we have enjoyed Idylwood Grill at least once per (except COVID, of course). I had forgotten but on Fri+Sat nights they have an excellent jazz keyboard player for a GREAT ambiance! All dishes were wonderful (filet mignon aux poivre and both Picatta dishes). My parents were SO happy with the evening !

Good food, good and accommodating service, attractive decor. Very positive experience. 6 of us ate avocado salad, calamari, almond crusted salmon, veal piccata and filet mignon. For dessert we shared tiramisu and chocolate mousse cake. Everything was quite delicious and there were no complaints. This restaurant deserves to be better known! We will definitely return. Parking lot a bit Zooey.

Little did we know that the restaurant was sold and it is certainly not what it used to be. The dining room was basically empty yet we were seated next to the kitchen as I was easier for the wait staff. We were told the ice cubes were the big square ones and they we’re definitely not. The cherry for the old fashion was a maraschino cherry. The veggies were definitely frozen, food was fine at best, menu has unappetizing photos of some dishes which gives it a whole cheapened feel. Honestly if we had not met friends there we would have walked out. Lovely waitress. Yet we are not going back.

Great food served promptly. Potentially too good of a value. I’m not sure how they make a profit. Our normal family outing is 2-300 for 3 adults. 150 with tip here. And I was full. And biked 60 miles before coming in. Only difficulty is parking. BUT behind the little strip mall is plenty of parking. You just have to know where to look. It’s up hill.

One of our family’s favorite restaurants. Never had a bad meal. The avocado salad had the best feta cheese and the mushroom risotto was spectacular. There were five of us and there were four different entrees. All were delicious. The only reason we haven’t been there for a while is that we no longer live in the area. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is surprisingly good, tucked away in a strip mall off Rt 7. Food is excellent and service is non rushed. I had PAPPARDELLE BEEF BOURGUIGNON which was scrumptious. Serving size was generous, enough for leftovers the next day. My friends had the Lamb Shank - which was tender and flavorful, with none left on the plate and the other the BRANZINO special which was devoured also with no leftovers. I highly recommend Idylwood Grill

We had a wonderful dinner and birthday celebration. The waitstaff was most attentive and the food, flounder and lamb shank, was delicious. The musical entertainment provided a festive yet relaxing atmosphere. We look forward to our next visit!

My parents were long time patrons of the Grill. My dad is no longer with us but we take my Mom there and they are wonderful to her. The food is always good - last night especially so. They have a good wine list as well. My filet was done to perfection.

Great service. Shrimp ajo, blackened scallops with risotto, shrimp/ chicken Alfredo and German chocolate cake were excellent. Prosecco was dry, unexpected but very good. It was busy on Saturday night and we’re happy to see it that way.

Food and service were amazing! Husband and father in law had lamb shank which they loved and mother in law had their wonderful branzino. I had flounder w/crabmeat and it was delicious! Look forward to returning to our favorite local restaurant very soon!!🥰

Haven’t been there in a long time and decided to go back. Food was outstanding, just as we remembered. The service was fine, but it was clear they were still a bit understaffed. The piano music was nice, but maybe just a touch loud. Considering inflation and the pressures of the post-pandemic world, the value was acceptable, but I would put it on the more expensive side of what I would normally be hoping/looking for. Overall, I would still consider this place a hidden gem in the area.

We went for Valentine's Day dinner. We got the shrimp ago and mussels for appetizer. Both were very good. The branzino was delicious. I got the seafood pasta. Very plentiful with seafood. The sauce on the seafood pasta was a little spicy. The cheesecake was very good.

We lucked out and made a reservation for 7pm the day before Valentines Day. It was our first time dining here and it did not disappoint. I was greeted at the front by a very cheery man. The atmosphere was busy, but tables were well spaced out and restaurant lit. 3-course dinner for 2. The shrimp ajo was on point, I couldn’t get enough of the sauce and used the fresh bread that came out at the beginning to wipe up every last drop. The mussels were delicious. He loved the blackened salmon and I thoroughly enjoyed the branzino with its crispy skin and perfectly cooked, well-portioned meat. It was a erved on top of a bed of diced tomato, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, Kalamata olives, and potato hash—the carrots were undercooked, but I like them that way. LOVED the desserts. We will be back!
