    Our first time dining here & will definitely be back!! Fantastic rare spirits collection. The food was fabulous, loved the ambiance & the service was top shelf. Creamed corn with pancetta was so good!! Fresh corn!! Really great experience!!

    Normally everything is amazing at Hyde Park. Today there was 6 of us and my husband and I both ordered the lobster bisque, it tasted like someone dumped the entire salt box into it. We sent them back of course. I told the operations manager who said she’s mad notify the kitchen. But nothing else was done. Someone else walked past and said he tasted it she had then dump the entire batch because it was indeed salty but not a sorry or a desert or anything. Expected a little better customer service!

    I've eaten at Hyde Park a few times and overall it's a good steakhouse. However, the last few times I have went with my family the service has been fair. As a frequent diner of steakhouses, I believe the service should outmatch the quality of the food and Hyde park is on the other end of that. The most recent visit, it took over an hour for two of our appetizers, 30 mins for bread, and it wasn't clear if we were being charged for "Water." Not sure who our waiter was, I don't remember if he even left a name, but he never asked how was the food, dining experience or anything. When we left he said Thanks and kept walking....very poor service. I would think there's a standard being in Birmingham, but I'm not from here so I don't know. Being a native Chicagoan, service is at the top of my list, so I guess I'll give them a pass this time. Great food though.

    Had an overall good experience. The only thing that irked us was 1) waiting for our table even though we arrived 5 minutes before reservation time, 2) waiting for our server, and 3) waiting for bread. Once we got "rolling" the service was excellent and the food outstanding!

    Hyde Park definitely exceeded my expectations when I went there expecting a wonderful night out. The ambiance was amazing, the lobster and steak were seasoned to perfection and both were mouth watering to say the least. The garlic whipped mashed potatoes were outstanding! The only item that I didn't care for was the Waygu Beef Carpaccio unfortunately the sauce had a strong horseradish taste and it was pretty overpowering not a fan. But everything else did the body good. Definitely a must try!

    Nice place, but the food was a hit and miss. My T bone steak was cook correctly, but the steak itself wasn’t great. I waited so long for the service to come back around that I didn’t want to send it back. My wife filet mignon was great except the sauce was so overbearing that it took a way from the product. The macaroni was wonderful. The million dollars potatoes was ok and they did a nice job with the crab. My biggest problem was that my steak was the most expensive and it was the worst thing on the table.

    We ordered our food and appetizers at 7:25 and our meal didn’t come out until 8:35!!!i ordered appetizer salad and it never came out when we got our entrees I was informed that the salad was done yet!! We watched other groups come in and order and get their food before us and appetizers!! My appetizer was put in carry out bag and when I checked it when I got home it wasn’t correct.!! It was shredded lettuce and chopped egg!! No cucumbers or cheese!! Highly unacceptable for the prices of food. This was for our 23yr anniversary also. First time visiting as well and must say not a good experience at all. Table was too small for our plates and food !! Please get bigger tables!!

    Server was great, the hostess and manager were unwelcoming and seemed annoyed that we were there. I have had great experiences there in the past but this was not the case last night. The food for my mother in law was not cooked properly and a side was forgotten. The rest of my party finished their food by the time it was corrected.

    Do not sit at a bar table with four people. We were so uncomfortable. I can’t believe my reservation allowed them to seat us there. For almost 500$ for 4 people- we wished our table was a little bigger.

    I wanted to express my disappointment with the recent dining experience I had at Hyde Park Steak. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience fell far short of my expectations. Firstly, the steak I ordered was not cooked to the level I requested, which was disappointing given the reputation of your establishment. Additionally, the waitress we had was incredibly rude and pressured us into ordering an appetizer that we did not enjoy. Throughout the meal, we felt ignored and unwelcome due to her lack of attentiveness. I hope you take this feedback seriously as I believe in the potential of Hyde Park Steak to provide exceptional dining experiences. I hope to see improvements in the future, as I would like to give your restaurant another chance.

    We had an amazing experience at Hyde Park! The host greeted us with warmth, the wait staff was friendly and very attentive and the atmosphere was classy. Thee waiter let us create our own cocktail which was AMAZING. The food was excellent and all of the extras just made our dinner unforgettable we will be adding this restaurant to our top 5!

    My friend and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hyde Park, and it was quite the experience. We kicked things off with three servings of their exquisite White Pear, which were nothing short of fantastic. For the appetizer, we indulged in the Crispy Calamari, which truly set the stage for what we hoped would be an exceptional meal. The appetizer did not disappoint; it was a delightful start to our dining adventure. However, I must admit, there was a bit of a hiccup when it came to the main course. We eagerly awaited the arrival of our Double Cut Lamb Chops, cooked to a perfect medium. Unfortunately, the wait time exceeded 45 minutes, which left us feeling a tad frustrated. When the dish finally arrived, I couldn't help but notice that the lamb chops were not quite up to par. Only one side seemed to have been properly cooked, which was a bit of a letdown. Additionally, the 5-cheese Mac and Cheese, while anticipated with excitement, turned out to be rather bland. I could only manage a few bites before deciding it wasn't quite to my taste. Despite these hiccups, I must say, I wouldn't write off Hyde Park entirely. I believe it would be worthwhile to return for drinks and perhaps to sample their renowned steaks, which have garnered quite a reputation. After all, every dining experience is a unique adventure, and sometimes it's the company and atmosphere that truly make the evening memorable. Cheers to future visits!

    We have been to Hyde Park numerous times and we’ve always had great meals and great service. Unfortunately, last night was an exception. Initially, we were seated by the fireplace and unfortunately the chairs are not really suitable for having a meal as they have fluffy cushions and you stink right into them. We asked to move to a different table and upon moving the table was rocking back-and-forth. Thankfully they were able to fix it but there were numerous other tables available in the restaurant. We are unsure why both of those tables were chosen for us. It took us three hours to have dinner and we did not even have a dessert. The waitress forgot my husband‘s wine which he asked for twice. The food was outstanding as usual. We will be back because past experiences have been great but hopefully they fix the issues with the staff.

    Our party of 4 waited approximately 2 hours before we received our main courses. The sides came much later along with the sauces we ordered. Everything was cold. The restaurant and specifically the kitchen was in disarray. It seemed not liked the old days. Maybe COVID took its toll.

    Took over three hours for two people. I ordered champagne as a surprise for my husband and while it was at the table when we arrived, it took our waitress over 20 minutes to uncork it and pour it! Unbelievable. When I order a $175 bottle of champagne right off the bat I expect much better treatment. We go here all the time for special occasions but sadly we won’t be returning because of our experience last night. I mean three hours for a party of two to split a steak? Just kind of ruined our night.

    The dinner was fantastic! Been in the mood for chicken and their Chicken Romano may be the best I have ever had! That’s saying a lot for a steak house!
