   Excellent overall! We had an 8:30 reservation on a Monday night and the place was packed and lively, so this might not be the best option if you’re looking for a quiet evening. But the food was amazing and the service was attentive. I had the filet and can honestly say it was the best steak I’ve ever had. It’s definitely not a cheap restaurant but in my opinion you get your money’s worth. I’ve paid more for less quality in the past. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good meal in the VA beach area, the Cavalier Hotel is also a sight to see in itself.

   The Hunt Room we enjoy. Eat there weekly. Have found more personality with wait staff in bar area. The food has also been above par. A different take on the Oceanfront Restaurants. Strongly disagree with the charge to park for Dinner. Sure it has interfered with tips for valets, not on our end. Have heard a lot of negative comments about this parking fee to enjoy a meal.

    The food was great, and it came out very quickly. However, there was a long wait for the check after dessert due to the crowd in the restaurant (all likely using the gift certificates on their last day of eligibility). The noise level was also uncomfortable, with folks sitting just a few feet from us on either side, and the whole restaurant and bar very loud. We've been to the Hunt Room and Becca at the Cavalier several times, but for some reason the valet parking process was also chaotic and very slow.

    We had a great experience! The Old Fashioned drink was terrific and they had many vegetarian choices, as well. My husband enjoyed the quail. Our server Maggie was attentive and very sweet.

    Another night out to celebrate our anniversary! Our server was Casey and she was awesome! We started with the Oysters Rockefeller.. hello! They were hands down the best we’ve ever had. My husband had the Pork Rib Eye and hasn’t stopped talking about how delicious it was and the crab cakes were wonderful too! Don’t leave without having the Bourbon cheesecake! To die for!! Libations, appetizers, a great me and dessert for under $150? It can be done! Don’t skip this one!

    We were there Friday night at 9 pm and enjoyed the most amazing like music. Saturday night we were there at 5, which was immediately after our bourbon tour on site. Amazing and delightful. The food is great! Only negative, no pretzels on the weekend.

    The Hunt Room is a very interesting place to dine because, as the name suggests, there are many decorations in the room that are related to hunting which we liked a lot. Also, the menu has a variety of very different selections that would appear in a hunting lodge. Our favorites are venison and duck which we cannot find anywhere else and which are prepared superbly there. We will go back again and again. Great food. Great service. Great ambience.

    While the Hunt Room is a great setting it is too dark and too loud to carry on a gentle conversation. The service staff was excellent. The food was a big disappointment considering we ordered pub fare which totaled $100. The fried oysters were poorly done and the oysters were barely detectable. The french fries were soggy with oil. At the price and at the splendid location we were expecting a much better quality of food.

    Miranda, our server was superior! My husband and I took my parents and the four of us had a great time. We sat at high top table near distillery windowsection. We just loved it all!
