Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse.

    Outstanding food and service, we tried their 'feed me' with a table of 4 it was perfect. Tried many different dishes and they were all amazing. Would return in a heart beat!

    My friend and I booked in at 6pm. It took a long time to get served by a waiter to even order our food. We ordered the feed me now, and we were waiting a very long time for the larger meals to come out, the table next to us had at least 8 people, they were seated after us and their food was coming out quicker . Once we got the larger mean, the section waiter told us that we only had half an hour left until the next booking so we felt rushed. This is my third time at the restaurant and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had, I normally love coming here but after lastnight, I was left highly disappointed.

    Definitely bao buns with fried chicken. Chicken satay skewers very good. Unfortunately chinese brocolli, pork too dry & chewy. Last time tried the pork hoc also very dry.

    I have heard so much about this place that when I was the designated person in our group to find a place to eat , I had to pick here. It did not disappoint! The food was fresh, tasty and came out pretty quick especially for a busy Saturday night. I loved that the menu catered for vegans as it allow for me to enjoy eating with my Omni friends without compromising on tasty. We were all really happy and will be returning soon 😊

    Meal was good. Ordered banquet and when it came to pay the bill extra $8 for some dishes ordered on banquet. Bit cheeky considering weren't told. Just make sure you understand the facts as banquet bit deceiving. Having said that plenty of food and very delicious.

    The food was good but the first half of the set menu was all meant to be eaten with your hands and there wasn't any way to clean your hands after it. A wet wipe, water bowl or more napkins would be good. It's very hard with groups - we were in a booth and could hardly fit our drinks on the table - very cramped. The service wasn't great either. Started off well, we ordered drinks and confirmed out set menu option. But we were never offered to buy another round. We waited but the whole place is so busy... it was disappointed to all pay for the 'best' set menu option and not even get a second drink. Servers dropped off food too quickly - as I said we couldn't even fit it on our table. I wouldn't go again.

    Quick dinner last night before seeing Miss Saigon. Food was absolutely delicious and service was speedy and friendly. Our only complaint was that it’s far too dark in the restaurant (and even more so in the bathroom). More lighting would be great.
