   Great service from Maddy. Chicken wings said Fire but we’re not hot but good. Burger was 2 Pattie’s and filling for the boy.

   I made a reservation for 6 on a Saturday, early afternoon. When I showed up, the hostess and the manager said that they don't take reservations and there was nothing they could do. Unfortunately, I wasn't the only one, as the group behind me had the same issues. I understand technical issues, I really do. However, with a larger group, we tried to assist the establishment by letting them know in advance and to no avail. If I wanted to wait an undetermined amount of time for a table, I could do that by popping in. I'm sure that there are things that were out of their control and affected this. I'm not complaining, just letting people know that the reservation system is suspect and don't count on your preplanning efforts to matter.

   Dirty and loud. Every surface - floors, tables, seating, even glassware and silverware - was just not clean. I understand this is a bar but the restaurant eating areas were in bad condition. The service was fine and the staff friendly, but a basic level of cleanliness needs to be maintained. Makes us wonder what the kitchen must be like.

   Waitress was fabulous - greeted us, had enthusiasm, attentive without being annoying. Food was good - I had the Rachel - the slaw made the bottom bread soggy - but taste was good.

   When we walked in the host let us know that certain menu items were unavailable. We appreciated knowing this before we were seated. The Irish Breakfast was available, though, and it was great!

    Heat had been broken at the restaurant for 2 days. Everyone working there had coats and hats on because of the internal temperature. It was cold in there as it was cold outside. They should have closed, notified their reservation holders, or something else. Even when we walked in, the host said nothing even though he had a winter knit hat on and a jacket. The waitress wispered to us that the heat had been down for 2 days. Food was good but not great, but really hard to enjoy

    Went out for a casual valentines dinner. My husband had fish and chips, which was excellent. I had the Shepard’s pie, which was awful. I usually never leave poor reviews but this might be the worst dish I’ve had in a long time. Brown and flavorless. Ambiance was great, service was awesome. I just picked the wrong dish.

    We had a group of 10 gathered at the large booth close to the front entrance. It was a great experience, as we felt as if we were in our own private party room. Food and service was right on our expectations. Definitely will recommend it.

    The staff were great, and the spicy Bloody Mary was fantastic! Our server was amazing made recommendations and was very attentive. The music was way to loud for brunch, and was out of place in an “Irish” pub. The food was just okay, it honestly tasted like food you would get at Waffle House, way to greasy and my wife’s hash browns were cold. If you want a delicious Bloody Mary then I highly recommend but for food I’d go elsewhere for cheaper better food.

    This was kind of disappointing for a Thanksgiving meal. My reservation was at 3:30, hardly late, but they were out of cranberry sauce, so the meal consisted of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very good; the turkey and green beans were fine, and the dressing was dry and disappointing--I took it home and added a bit of sausage and butter to it, much better. There was no bread or roll available. The pumpkin pie tasted as usual, but was a tiny, tiny slice. Service was very good and thoughtful, but the meal definitely needs more work for a major food-based holiday!

    Went here for brunch because I read that this was one of the best brunches in Raleigh… except that their menu does not match anything in the article or the pictures on their website. The brunch menu was small. The food was lukewarm and bland. Would never eat here again for any meal.

    Made a reservation, had to wait 20 minutes for a waitress to speak to us and she told us they were out of the majority of their menu items. I really wish we had been told this prior to having to wait for so long.

    We chose Hibernian for our Father’s Day brunch after seeing them advertise “Sunday brunch” on their Instagram account. Unfortunately, this meal fell far short of our expectations. Their “brunch” menu was 2 items long, one of which was already sold out for the day even though our reservation was 30 minutes after they opened. If this was the only hiccup, it could have easily been overlooked, however it was not. In addition to half of their brunch menu being sold out, about 1/3 of their regular menu was ALSO sold out. We attempted to order 3 different appetizers-- none were unavailable. 2 of the 3 entrees ordered by our party were also unavailable, one person ended up with only a side garden salad (which was topped with bacon, even though that was not an ingredient listed on the menu…not exactly a “garden” ingredient the vegetarian was expecting). While our server was apologetic during the meal, the situation did not seem to really phase the staff— drinks were incredibly slow to arrive (3 beers ordered at the same time each arrived to the table 5 minutes apart), and the wrong drinks were brought to the table on two occasions. All in all, if food is something that’s important to you at a “brunch”, I would not recommend Hibernian. Especially if you don’t have 2.5 hours to waste waiting for a meal that wasn’t anywhere close to your first choice.

    Gloria, our server, was as sweet & nice as she was efficient. The prices were quite reasonable for both food & drinks. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish sandwich, and, while my shepherd’s pie was tasty, I’m not used to it swimming in gravy. We put the excess gravy to good use w/ my wife’s fries. The hot fudge brownie for dessert was totally sinful!

    My husband and I brought some friends here and we had a great time. Other than some items being out of stock, lack of plant-based options, and the area around the table being dirty, everything was great. It’s a pretty cool place in a great location.

    Our burgers were raw and my mashed potatoes were ice cold. Like they had just come out of the refrigerator. It wasn’t a pleasant experience.

    The food was great the black bean burger was the best I’ve had in a while. The wings were amazing as well as the salmon sandwich. The indigo drink was not the best I think the sparkling water was a no but the other drinks I had were amazing! The rooftop is the best place to sit by the way.

    I would like to say that everything went great , however, they decided to not even honor our reservation on open table. When we got there for our reservation the host rudely dismissed us and told us they were not accepting those reservations. So much for technology

    Outside patio has heaters and wonderfully large wooden tables. Irish coffee is a must. Great ambiance overall.
