   Seated on time, but left after 20min when no waitstaff had even acknowledged the table much less taken an order. I understand being understaffed, but at least acknowledge and apologize, don’t ignore the problem.

   Paella was very good. The various seafood portions were moist, cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The rice had the delicious crispy bits on the bottom of the paella pan. The key lime pie was OK, but in my opinion, not balanced (too sweet that it overpowered the tartness and refreshing essence of the lime) and the crust was underbaked. The mojitos were delicious. Overall, another good meal at Havana.

   I had the roasted chicken with forbidden rice. I did not like the rice and the chicken did not have any flavor. The red pepper mojo tasted like ketchup. My wife had picadillo which she liked. Her dish came with tostones and maduros and she had to ask for mojo sauce. Everyone Hispanic knows that it goes with it. I tried the mojo and it was good. No complaints there but overall this is NOT authentic Cuban at all. Drinks were good. This could be better as a tapas place.

    Waited 45 minutes for food after telling our server we needed to be out by then for the theatre. Reserved outdoor upstairs online, only to be told - private event, too bad for you. So, this Asthmatic ended up being seated next to 2 cigar smokers. Gross! Change the options on your website if you’re not going to follow through!

    This is an amazing restaurant/bar. The wait staff, and especially the bartender Amber are wonderful. The last time we were there, 17th Street Market was having a silent DJ, it was so much fun.

    Had not been to Richmond in many years but remembered Havana 59 as one of my favorites. The black bean soup was as excellent as I remember and the appetizer and drinks were great but both main courses were less than average.

    We enjoyed a couple’s night with friends and had a BLAST! Alejandro, our server, was wonderful! As more people came in, the service slowed but we were early diners, so we were not really affected. My biggest issue was we requested to be seated in non-smoking but there was still a smoke presence from each time the separating doors were opened.

    I loved our experience at Havana 59. The waitress was very friendly and helped us decide on appetizers, main entree, and dessert. I loved the spring rolls with the ham and pork inside and my chopped salad was different enough so that I could experience the Cuban taste.

    Becky was a very good server and on top of her game consistently. Remembered us from our last visit there. The food and drinks were good as usual and we always enjoy the ambience. A couple of good cigars after dining is always a winner for me. I have enjoyed all of my visits to Havanas!

    We were grateful to find Havana 59 open on Christmas Eve. A family tradition is to enjoy a good meal after church. We found the seating quite close, with parties on either side of us and practically no room between the tables. The server was very nice, helpful, and made it easy for us to choose drinks and dinners. Our biggest concern was the final bill, being well over $225 for only four people. One can argue that in this time and with these economic pressures, that we are victims of a horrible inflation. However, there are many other establishments where a similar dinner would be far less.

    I made reservations on line and had difficulty a week before and called to complete reservation. When I arrived 30 minutes early to make sure everything was good, they had us booked in the smoking area and stated they had us scheduled for both. We needed non-smoking and had to wait 30 minutes past reservation time to be seated. Outside of this inconveniences for our Christmas meeting, everything was great.

    We made a reservation and did not get seated for almost 25 min late. Server was great friendly and attentive. Food took too long to get to the table. Yucca and corn were over cooked but steak was great. Fish was great. Mixed emotions over food. They have cigar smoking which was a little overwhelming but fun building

    Another good meal at Havana. The mojito with pepper was tasty, balancing heat, acid and sweetness. The marinated steak was well executed and delicious. The tres leches cake had a smooth texture and the level of sweetness was much to my liking. Our server Coleman was attentive, friendly and helpful.

    The service and food at Havana 59 was excellent!! From the hostess that accommodated me when I needed to move to a different table to our server who brought us more bread and plantain chips to go. He even brought us a dessert on the house! The food was unbelievable!!! We ordered the PEI Mussels and the Paella. Absolutely amazing flavor!!! I couldn't stop eating it! If you have a chance to visit, please do!

    Our group waited a long time for our entrees to come out. When they arrived one order of paella had been under the heat lamp for a long time and the seafood and rice was actually dry. The manager offered another a replacement but we were in a time crunch and couldn't wait. Also our server would disappear for long periods and took a while to get back to us for additional drink orders.

    Great ambiance. Mojitos were excellent and good size. Paella was very good, shrimp and fish cooked to perfection, rice a little greasy for my taste. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. Our second drink didn't come until after we finished dinner, not problem for us but maybe need a little more help at the bar. I know staff is sometimes short so we just enjoyed it and called it our dessert. Fun evening!

    Ambiance, music, food was wonderful! Our waitress was extremely pleasant & knowledgeable of menu items. You MUST try the Cubano egg rolls, as well as the sandwich. Will definitely return!

    We have been here several times and always enjoyed it. We had the Paella for two. After waiting an hour for it, it was terrible. Salmon...no Paella should have salmon in it. Mussels were crucified. Pea Pods still had string attached and were also cooked to death. Server checkback took so long that we ate the rice bc we were starving. I told her it was terrible yet it was still on our bill. We paid for it but we shouldn't have. Overall a disappointing evening after driving from Charlottesville.

    I came here to celebrate my birthday with a party of 13 in which I made advanced reservations for. However, there was only one server for downstairs and we waited FOREVER for drinks and food. Even bottled beers took forever which is pretty inexcusable. I was literally in the middle of finally placing my food order and the server cut me off to go greet people who were coming in. Then, I ordered the Churrasco a la Habana ($34) and the steak was cooked rare instead of medium like I asked for. I also wanted maduros instead of yucca because I hate yucca but "they were running low" on those. Therefore, I had to settle for rice and beans which were bland in my opinion. I don't mind paying $34 for a meal but it should be cooked as I requested and if I sent it back I would've been waiting another hour so I didn't even bother. Overall, myself and my friends were very disappointed in our experience here so I cannot recommend it.
