Begin your culinary journey at his summer residence built in 1852, where you can relax in the heritage building before indulging in one of the most delicious meals of your life.

We have three unique dining experiences to enjoy:
- Our Signature fine dining experience - savour a delectable degustation experience that changes with the seasons, following the "Valley to Verandah" concept. You will also have the opportunity to choose from a multi-award-winning wine selection and creative cocktail menu. Available for dinner 7 days a week

We enjoyed the food and environment. We particularly enjoyed the sirlion steak and pre-dessert palate cleanser. We left a bit early as my wife felt a wee bit cold but all in all, it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it. p.s. my wife particularly loved the Queen's cut honey butter!

High Tea for our friends' 60th and it was spectacular! Delightful menu coupled with some fabulous champagne. A great choice for a wonderful afternoon out

I celebrated my 3-year anniversary at the Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel special with their warm welcome and attentive service. The ambiance was perfect for our celebration, with soft lighting and beautifully set tables that created a romantic atmosphere. The appetisers were great and for the main course, Both dishes were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. I also appreciated the thoughtful wine pairing suggestions from our server, which enhanced our meal beautifully. To top off the evening, we indulged in the best desserts and it was the perfect sweet ending to our celebration. The staff even surprised us with a complimentary dessert and heartfelt congratulations, which made the night even more special. Overall, Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant offered the best service I’ve ever experienced, making our anniversary celebration truly memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion! Cheers!

We stayed at Mount Lofty house for 2 nightsand loved it. We had a fabulous time. The Hardey's Verandah restaurant had an amazing view and a lovely romantic ambience. Staff were exceptional, very knowledgeable with the wines and very attentive. Great place to dine if you enjoy your wines. Food was very good and we were offered more yummy crusty bread at no cost. All of the dishes were picture perfect with our 2 mains being our favourite. However, at a price of $600 for 2 for the degustation menu with paired wines it was very hefty and consider it a one time only special occassion.

Be nice if they told you the additional charges $12 for water and also a surcharge on an ordinary Saturday. Soured the experience

A beautiful and special High Tea in a stunning venue to celebrate a 60th birthday. The fire was on, ambience delightful (especially on a wet winters day!), waiting staff very attentive, food delicious and the range of teas to choose from amazing. Staff were very helpful and flexible in the lead up to the afternoon, and the welcome on the day was very warm. Our Birthday Girl was unexpectedly provided with a beautifully decorated individual 'dessert' on a plate adorned with "Happy Birthday" in delicious chocolate!! When our dining time was over we were offered the opportunity to stay and chat in another of the rooms at the venue. Appreciating how busy the staff are, having never been to the venue previously it would perhaps have been nice to be shown around to the other 'sitting room' options, or even given a map of the venue to allow us to easily make our way to a lounge area. We were instead left to wander somewhat aimlessly around the magnificent Mt Lofty House and did eventually find an unoccupied sitting room but it felt a slightly haphazard way to end an otherwise very special afternoon. Having said that, what a way and what a venue to celebrate a milestone birthday. Can highly recommend!

Our second visit for high tea. It is a wonderful location with magnificent views and a quiet understated ambiance. Somewhere special to spend some time with someone you love.
