The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. The sushi rolls were as wide as a roll of quarters. Wouldn't be a problem if the price reflected the size. But for roughly $10 a roll not worth the price.

The rolls we had (Glasshouse and Ruby Red) were awesome!! Out waitress was great - she was attentive, friendly, and respectful. We never had to search for her - she was there whenever we needed and she took great care of us.

Creative rolls, great drinks. Awesome atmosphere. Amazing value. I loved it and were definitely coming back. Next time I think we’ll sit at the sushi bar vs a table for just 2 people. I had no idea it would be so roomy there.

We were sat at at table that is not conducive with multiple plated rolls, drinks and sides. It was difficult to even figure out how to set everything down.

Hapa is one of our favorite restaurants for over 20 years and it has always been wonderful - If this was my first time to Hapa I wouldn't go back. Food was average not very well put together, waitstaff was average not attentive and forgetful. I am sympathetic to restaurants and the difficulties they face for staffing -- it is disappointing.

We were bummed that we missed happy hour, which is a very good value. We knew it ended earlier than most, but thought it was at 5PM; happy hour actually ends at 4:30. We stayed and ordered from the menu anyway and very much enjoyed the quality of the food. Poke and Magic Mushrooms are always favorites, but pretty pricey. Requests for nori alternatives were an upcharge of $3 or $6 which also seemed a bit much. Still, we really like Hapa and will definitely go back.

Easy to book a reservation at this local sushi restaurant. Pleasant interior and lively atmosphere. Sitting at the sushi bar is like a dinner show as chefs show their knife skills and create masterpiece plates! Friendly conversation to guide diner on menu items. We recently returned to Hapa Sushi for dinner, after a slightly disappointing experience a couple of months ago. I wanted to make sure to follow up a review I wrote at that time, which wasn't bad, but did reflect our disappointment in a couple of aspects of our experience. Our most recent dinner was great all around -- delicious food, the staff was pleasant and attentive, and our server, Joe, was just a pleasure! Everybody has an "off" night, and one off night doesn't define a person or a restaurant. I'm glad we went back to Hapa and tried again. We'll keep coming back!
