Hacienda San Angel Gourmet is a superbly elegant, scenic experience perfect for romantic dinners and all special occasions. Special Prime Rib Brunch served Sundays, Nov. 6 through April 16.

Live Mariachi bands and traditional Mexican folk music serenade diners up to six nights a week during the high season.

Memorable upscale Mexican and international meals are created at our full-service roof top restaurant.

DRESS CODE in place is to maintain a fine dining experience. Shirt collars are required; t-shirts and tank tops not permitted.
CHILDREN 4 yrs and younger are not allowed. This venue is not suitable for young children.
2 HOUR table limit for 6pm & 6:30pm reservations for parties of 4 or less however we have an area for you to enjoy music and drinks after your dinner if you are not ready to leave.

    Outstanding! This is the best meal we have all year! We visit Puerto Vallarta annually and dinner at Hacienda San Angel is a must. Not only is the food fantastic, the place is beautiful, the view spectacular, and the experience memorable. The mariachi band is superb and adds to the feeling of dining in elegant old Mexico. Don’t miss this gem!

    We were 4 for brunch. It was fantastic from the moment we walked in the door. The view of the bay is spectacular, we were able to sit right by the balcony but all of the tables have a good view. Service was amazing, the food was amazing, the violinist was amazing! I would recommend this experience to everyone.

    The most beautiful setting combined with a fantastic meal and great service. Javier was a great server. The mariachi band was incredible. Our favorite restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, it never disappoints!

    A fantastic evening to celebrate my father‘s birthday. The mariachis were outstanding, and sang him a special happy birthday! Start to finish, from the moment you enter those beautiful doors, through the grounds and up to the restaurant, is just superb. Elegant Mexican charm combined with wonderful service and food — we could not have asked for a better night. We noticed the new elevator, too, which would be very helpful for some with mobility issues.

     From the moment you arrive. It is such a amazing destination. When you walk through the doors, the tranquil fountain and courtyard is breathtaking. When we arrived, the sun was setting, and there was a lady putting out so many candles. It was amazing. Walking up the stairs into the dining room the view was breathtaking. The food was superior, there was absolutely nothing we could say went wrong for our evening. Fernando, our waiter was outstanding, so polite, well spoken and explained everything for us. If you are in Puerto Vallarta, you have to go to this location. It truly is a place we will remember.

    Dinner at HSA is an experience, not just a meal. You know you’re in for a special evening from the first moment when you pull the rope to ring the bell at the front door. The interior is beautiful and while this night was my 5th or 6th time here, I am always seeing something new and in awe of the view. This evening, Fernando was our waiter, and he did a great job of making us feel welcome and keeping our beverages full. The mariachi band was incredible. I was so impressed as ever member of the band took turns singing, and each with a great voice. The food was all delicious, I am a vegetarian and my choices we good and the food as beautiful to look at as it was delicious to eat. I do love eating on the early side as you get to see the courtyard in the day light, and then when you leave the entire stairs and courtyard at illuminated with candles and it is breathtakingly beautiful even after many visits. I highly recommend dinner here, especially if looking for a romantic night out or to celebrate a special occasion.

    The lights were not working. We could not see the mariachi’s. That area was completely black, no lights.

    Very quaint restaurant with a beautiful view. Oysters were fresh, but not shucked properly therefore had a lot of broken shell in them. Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Fig and feta salad was excellent. My husband had the Stuffed Chile Poblano with lemon risotto which was excellent. I had the shrimp and saffron risotto, shrimp was excellent, but the risotto was under cooked and had to send back. They gave me the lemon risotto which I loved. For dessert I had the chocolate cake which turned out to be chocolate lava cake. It was good and warm, but looked like it was from Costco. The cheesecake was awful. Can’t even describe it. Our waiter was awesome! Spoke good English. Everyone that works there is very attentive. Drinks were great we tried 5 different ones. Make sure you get the Mexican coffee for with your dessert. Would go back again and order a few different things. Can’t beat the service and ambiance!

I was told by the Restaurant Manager about the issues that came up and they have taken steps already to assure others do not have the same problems that you encountered. Your review is very gracious, thoughtful and appreciated. The Warm Chocolate Cake we serve is a lava cake but we make it from scratch and it is one of our more popular desserts. I've not heard it compared to a Costco cake before but we will review if something was different when you dined. Thank you again for giving us a try and for sharing.     We had a fantastic dinner at Hacienda St Angel. The food from the starter t8 the main course was outstanding. Loved the Octopus (done just right) and scallops. The main course of shrimp was delicious. The service impeccable. We loved the ambience and view as well as the mariachi band.

    We had an absolutely wonderful time at Hacienda San Angel Gourmet. The atmosphere at this hilltop boutique hotel and restaurant was an experience that we will forever remember. We started with refreshing Bombay gin and tonic cocktails. My wife had the Asparagus Cream soup and I had the Shrimp and Coconut cream soup. Both were excellent. For our second course we had the House and Caesar salads. Both were fresh and very good. For our main courses, my wife had the Wild Caught Salmon and I had the Chilean Sea Bass. Again, both were perfectly prepared and delicious. We chose a bottle of the Bogle Family Chardonnay for our wine. We finished with a delicious Coconut Crème Brûlée, to top off an absolutely fabulous evening. We cannot say enough about the wait staff who were polite, attentive, and exceeded our expectations. Frank, our waiter for the evening was a perfect gentleman and ensured we had a truly memorable evening. We shall return!

    I love the ambience of this place. I’ve had dinner before, but never the Sunday brunch so today’s Sunday brunch was very special. Prime rib, fresh seafood, omelette bar … it was just incredible…. If you’ve never been here, treat yourself to this amazing place alone or with friends you can’t go wrong.

    Fabulous as always. Sometimes the musicians - a modern Mariachi group is a bit much but they are talented… Possibly a lower emphasis on them would be appreciated because when in full swing - table conversation is nearly impossible. The place even loud at times (they don’t play the entire night) is incredible with great food and views. Recommend for a special night of celebration

    This is a very nice place for a special occasion. You pull a rope to ring a bell to get into the courtyard which is really unique. You are greeted by the hostess as it opens into a beautiful courtyard with wonderful statues, fountains and gardens. She leads you through the garden up the stairway to the dining area. It is a lovely balcony that overlooks the city and ocean. We came on a rainy night and they have sliding class windows that surround the balcony so you can still see the view without getting wet. We had a wonderful dinner. The selections are all top notch and the wait staff is tremendous. There was never a moment when someone wasn't available to attend to every need. It's a bit costly, but compared to a really nice restaurant at home with that level of service, I find it was worth it. I would highly recommend coming here.

    Every time I come to Puerto Vallarta I bring my friends and family to dinner here. What a Wonderful experience it always is. Keep up the Great Work and the Wonderful service. I miss seeing the Dogs run around and Greeting the Customers.

    Highly recommend for Fancy Night out in Puerto Vallarta - with Live Music all night! We had an amazing experience at Hacienda San Angel on Friday night. The Mariachis are the absolute best and performed all night. The food was delicious (and we are fussy eaters). They ran out of Sea Bass, so they offered Salmon as a substitute: Really fantastic preparation of all dishes. Our waiter Omar was extremely attentive and took great care of us! At the end, we tried their homemade Flan, which was the best we have ever tasted. Perfect texture and rich flavor!
