I’ve been to locations of Gyu-Kaku around the US and abroad. The Orlando area locations are consistently a poor experience. Decided to try the new Flamingo Crossings location and it was just as bad. Service was good and restaurant was clean and inviting. However, food items were inconsistent in portions and flavour. Salads were prepared without correct ingredients. Server did not know which meats where which when delivered to table. And appetisers arrived to table as we were about to request our bill.

Food is delicious. Lots of fun to cook your own. No time for using your phone other than using a timer app to time how long you are keeping your food on the grill. Service is very good. Servers very helpful and informative about preparing your food for the grill.

The food is delicious. Good customer service…ask for Lily she’s the best. It’s a new location in a tourist area so it’s best to get there early. The evening Disney crowd is interesting. I’ve been there twice & will definitely go again.

The restaurant decor is beautiful. Host and server were fantastic. It was our first time and the server explained everything to us patiently, answering all our questions and even though they didn’t have all the ingredients for the desert, they were able to improvise and it was SOOO DELICIOUS! I wish I lived in the area because I would definitely be a regular customer here. Thank you so much. 10/10

Best meal I’ve had in years. Yeah you gotta cook it yourself but that’s the best part. Make it how you want it, mix in the different sauces and sides. The dinners for two were plenty, and we ordered some extra meat for the kids. Let the bibimbap just crisp up in the bowl and eat it between the meats, effing amazing. The s’mores for dessert have real marshmallow which was the cherry on top after a stellar dinner.

This was our first time at Gyu-Kaku and we're so glad we did! The restaurant is lovely, our server Khoi was amazing and went over the whole menu with us and made some really great suggestions. Let's not even get started on how good the food was! We got the meat lover's combo for two and an appetizer and it was SO MUCH food. We literally needed to be rolled out of there. We will definitely be back and will ask for Khoi again! 10/10 highly recommend!

Such a great value and fun time. Our server, Tam, was awesome. The place is kind of new and really getting into a rhythm (apps would have come out after the meats so we passed). She let us know that ahead of time and was awesome. We ordered the meat lover combo for the two of us with the upgrades meats. Soooooo good. The flavors were outstanding and we felt the meats were very high quality. What a value for the price. Definitely recommend and to the staff, please keep up the fantastic customer centric work and quality.

Our waiter had us with no drinks for 30 mins and ontop of that the food we ordered was uncooked (obviously) but it took 40 mins to get our uncooked food to then start cooking but besides that the place was awesome 10/10 would recommend

We were seated within a few minutes of the reservation time. Our server Michael was very attentive and explained the menu and each course thoroughly. We did not feel rushed and no one left hungry.

It’s so much easier for us to get to this one than the Sand Lake location - the servers were a lot more attentive and we received our food from the amazing Khoi in record speed and time (we have been to several locations all over CA and FL and this was by far the fastest service ever).

I’m a big fan of this chain so was super excited when a branch open closeby to where I live. We visited at lunch time, my friend had her favorite, the stone bowl rice. That was excellent as usual. My order of ramen was unfortunately a disaster. The soup was thick and super salty, I suspect the cook did not read the instructions and did not dilute the soup base. When I returned it to the kitchen to rinse out the salt, I was told they will prepare a new bowl for me. This took another 20 mins while my friend tried to eat her rice bowl very slowly hoping my order would arrive soon. Finally my lunch came, soup was fine but the noodles clumped together. I feel so badly for the server when I had to wave her down again. Although I was not charged for my bowl of ramen, I really wished they could have gotten it right the first time. This first experience was not how we wanted it to be. I hope my next visit will be better.

As we needed somewhere open late to have dinner because we were stuck late in an event, we booked a 1030pm reservation here. Around 930pm I received a text that my table was ready. We were running early for 1030pm so I adjusted our reservation to 10pm. We arrived around 955pm. On check in, we were told “we close at 10pm and last call is 1010pm.” I incorrectly assumed that was last call for alcohol but was told by Brian (working the host stand..later to find out he was the manager) that, no, it was last call for everything because they had to have time to clean and go home. We made haste to order quickly and our server Katie was very helpful. After dining, we told her about the fact that OpenTable was making reservations for them until 1045pm. She called the a manager (the previously mentioned Brian) over to tell him, to which he responded that basically, yeah, we know. OpenTable won’t fix it and it happens more than he can count. I wonder what would have happened had we shown up at 1030pm as planned. Would we have eaten? Would there have been an apology for the booking error? Because there certainly wasn’t one this time. The food was great as always and again we very much enjoyed Katie and all her helpful suggestions. Brian needs a refresher on customer service. And the restaurant and OpenTable need to fix the operating hours.
