   Food was decently good. Problem was the service. Sat us down, didn’t give us menu for 20 minutes. Didn’t offer the AYCE menu. Asked for the AYCE 10 minutes later when server came back. Then was finally able to put in order. Never been to a Gyu Kaku previously, and it wasn’t until we had our grill changed 4 times before a different server asked us to only put 2 pieces of toro beef on the grill or it’ll flame up… Sat us right next to a table of 3 people when there were 3 tables in that section, the furthest one being empty. We could hear their conversation vice versa. Restaurant wasn’t that busy. Probably won’t be returning due to service. Basically was only able to order twice in the 75 minute limit, as that’s how many times our server came to take orders.

   Food was good, but unfortunately the service was very, very slow. Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and we sat for over 30 minutes to get food that we had ordered while the grill was heating literally nothing. Nobody came to refill our waters either.

    Very nice experience. Celebrated my gals birthday and the wait staff gave her extra dessert! We picked the Meat Eater combination which was a perfect amount for the two of us. Overall the meat was very good and the appetizers were all delicious. I highly recommend this and we will be back.

    Made a reservation, unbeknownst to me, 30 minutes prior to the kitchen closing. The staff were accompanied and understanding and let us know over the phone and ahead of our ordering food. Kelsey and her trainee worked diligently with us for the evening and helped get the food out asap. I was thrilled with both pricing AND quality of all the food. I saw that they have happy hour and I promise you: I will DEFINITELY be returning for it! AMAZING PLACE!

    Maybe it was just a fluke but service was very slow to the point that we were told it was last call for our 90 minutes but we had spent a good chunk of time waiting for the second round of items we ordered I believe it was about 40 minutes. The servers didn’t seem to have very well balanced sections and the tables were incredibly small for how slowly they maintain the service. They were out of a few items which we would have not ordered the highest ayce had we known. Overall I would not recommend going for the highest ayce. The lower option based on their service would be on par with their rules.

    My son and I came here for Thanksgiving before going to a movie and I am just sorry we didn't have more time. We made it through two appetizers, two beers, a regular sake (which was as big as a large sake elsewhere, BTW), and two ramen before stopping to catch the movie. We didn't really get to delve into it, but from what I experienced; I am making plans to go back. This Japanese steak house features hibachi and AYCE options menu. I have to say; the beef is flavorful and definitely melts in your mouth. We shared an order of Fried Pork Gyoza dumplings and the Chili & Yuzu Roast Beef and I have to say, I kind of resented having to share - it was that good. I had the Goma Negi Shio; braised pork in an oxtail broth and THAT was the best ramen I've ever had. I think the noodles may have been homemade as well. My son had the Spicy Beef ramen, and it was gone before I knew it. It's in Cherry Creek, so you know, pricey; but well worth it. We had a great server who answered all of my questions and was very patient as we had a difficult time deciding what to order - and we were gossiping. There was a bit of a wait between courses and we also had to wait for our table, which factored into how much we ate, but honestly, the food and server made it worth it. I intend to go back to experience the hibachi and have Chili & Yuzu Roast Beef all to myself.

    Our server was not well-trained. I understand she's new and still learning but checking in with guests regularly would be helpful. We had to wait 30 minutes for her to check back so I can ask for S'Mores. It was slow evening so this is non excusable. There was no bartendar to make cocktails, so she had to make the 2 drinks and it was bad but the group didn't say anything because we just don't complain and is aware of restaurant business but her service was very bad. She's sweet but she could work on her knowledge on food items and checking in on customers more regularly and at least fill waters. She didn't even ask if we wanted more cocktails. It was a birthday celebration too. Sad but I do enjoy the food. Disappointed in service. I would return but would ask for different server. Sorry.

    Everything was great except for the wait times to get food. AYCE has a 90-minute limit but we can’t even get our first round of order until 30 mins later. I love Gyu Kaku and I go almost twice every month but the service and the wait times have just been crazy. I hope this gets fixed soon!

    Place needs a remodel. Portions of the floor look to have water damage and we’re all buckling. That area was blocked off by just a row of chairs. Service was good and staff was very nice. Food was fair, not great.

    The miso soup was bad. The place looked sad and the waitress was nice but overwhelmed and not very good. She needed better training. The food took a long time to be served. The grill wasn’t working well. I will never go there again.

    So we came here for an early dinner and this is our second time here. Literally as soon as we walked in the host was AMAZING he was even considering accommodating our table away from people because I had an important call during our reservation!!!!! It wasn’t busy at all since it was early so we didn’t have to do all that. Our server was great! She was super informative and so sweet, I was tripping over my words a bit because of my speech impediment and she was so patient with us :) The kitchen was clearly not very busy because everything came out so quickly but boy oh boy was it all delicious, my husband ordered us the meat lovers this time and it was delicious, just a few bites more than we could handle but it was yummy. For drinks I had one of the Jumauni cold sake and it was so yummy and perfectly chilled. My husband ordered a mango drink that he said he enjoyed as well. We definitely recommend stirring it a bit since a lot of the syrup sits at the bottom. All in all an awesome experience with everyone and we will 100% make this something we visit once a month.     Everyone was awesome from our server reading the room and just dropping by to refresh drinks and keeping an eye out in case we needed anything to the manager being super proactive and offering me some cold sake I wouldn’t have tried/ordered otherwise. Such a cool vibe, with indoor seating. It’s obviously a bit warm because of all the grills so definitely dress for the temperature. We did the most affordable course since we were just dining with the 2 of us and it was more than enough food to get a taste of the menu and figure out our favorites for the first time there. Additionally, we ordered the karagee (my fave!) and something by else I can’t remember the name of but I know it was pickled lol. I was so wrapped up in how great the food and ambiance was that I didn’t even take a moment to record content for my TikTok and just enjoyed being there with my fiancé going over the menu and just preparing everything together the way we like them best. This menu isn’t one that you have to make alterations to and it’s beautifully done. Thanks guys so much for the awesome experience and we’ll 100% be back within a week! So yummy :)

    Reading another Google review from Yi Sun pretty much confirmed our suspicion that this location's manager is prejudice against small kids and/or Asians. Definitely do not recommend going here which is ironic as this is a Japanese BBQ restaurant. Drop $200+ and we regret sitting into this place. We have visited their other locations in SoCal and the Denver location but this location is horrible.

    We love the food here but the service is abysmal. All the food was dumped at our table, no dirty plates were removed and we never saw our waitress after the raw meat plates were dropped off. We asked another server to get her and we asked for a grill change and she said she would return but never did. She never returned to bring us our bill we finally just went up and asked for it at the front desk. We were very disappointed in the service. It was probably the worst service I’ve ever had.

    We arrived at 12:55 for lunch. There were only 3 other tables occupied at the time so I anticipated a fairly quick meal. The food was average tasting & although our waitress was lovely, we didn’t get our food (plates of raw meat to grill and rice) until 1:45 - which we had to ask for. We finally finished the entire experience at 2.30 - far too long for a near-empty restaurant. Again, the waitress did her best but perhaps there are kinks being worked out at the back end because for a meal we had to cook ourselves, the wait was pretty horrendous.

    They need like 3 more servers and a full time bartender.. BUT we had a good experience regardless and really enjoyed the food. I’m probably buying a bottle of the spicy sauce.
