Really good service and value for money, all 3 of us enjoyed our food only tiny little 🤏gripe was the beef being dry, everything else was great & we would return

Food was ok and would probably eat here again if out for a quick lunch but not for an evening meal - all food and drink had to be ordered at bar , unable to open a tab , decor all needs updating , no atmosphere.

Firts time eating at The Griffin and called in as there was a car show going one. Very nice people and service and the food was very good.

We booked a table for four at 13:30 on Monday lunchtime. When we arrived, we were informed that several menu items were unavailable, which was disappointing to hear straight away. Although the food came out quickly, the quality wasn’t acceptable. The lasagne was burnt, and the onion bhaji was so overcooked it was black and rock hard. Over halfway through the meal we were asked how everything was, and we raised the issues. A replacement bhaji was offered, but we declined. The restaurant was almost empty, so we expected much better standards. We’d heard great things and were really looking forward to trying it, but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

It’s a lovely building and we were made welcome. There were 3 good real ales available. The meals were tasty and there wasch good range available. I was a pleasant dining experience and I’m satisfied

The gluten free burger option didn’t have a burger bun with it, This wasn’t clear at the time of ordering and I didn’t really think that I needed to ask if the burger came with a bun, but apart from that the meal was ok. It’s not too difficult to have a bag of gf burger buns in the freezer though.
