The food was not hot had the roast beef and the potatoes were cold as well as the veg
Steak over cooked and over priced. Didn’t offer extra drinks when ours was empty. Calamari soggy not crispy. Mayo left out for ages before served to us so had started to separate in the pot. All the diners sat on top of each other in a row despite there being empty tables. For a meal that cost £100 it wasn’t worth it
I have been to Greens Steakhouse before but on this occasion I wanted to try the roast.
Being vegetarian I had asked if they had the vegetable gratin, however unfortunately after taking my order 5 mins later I was told they didn’t have it and if I wanted to choose something else. With my hopes not being fulfilled (yet) I had to think of plan B.
The lady who served us then went on to say the kitchen were happy to alter the roast slightly with other things from the menu so that I could still have the roast I wanted.
I ended up very happy with the service I received and even happier with my roast!
For the inconvenience prior to getting our meals another waiter then said he had taken the drinks off our bill for the inconvenience caused.
Honestly, best service I had received in ages! I will recommend this place highly and happily go back sooner rather than later.
Keep up the amazing customer service.. it goes a long way 😊
Superb service in a great venue with superb fresh food then this is the place to go
Great restaurant to have in Bracknell, ideal for a special occasion. Good service and food.
Lovely as always
Food was average, steak was unevenly cooked and no comparison to Gaucho!
Walked through the door and was very impressed with the décor, so had high hopes.
We sat at the bar for a quick drink and saw the staff arguing, but thought nothing of it.
We were then shown to our seat which, can only have been next to the fire exit, which was freezing cold, we asked to be moved, but were moved to the next table, which was just as cold, eventually we moved in to the main restaurant which was fine.
We ordered the pork scratchings, while we waited for the starters, but the starters came first.
My partner ordered a medium Fillet, which was perfect, I ordered a medium rare Sirloin which was cold and more cooked than the Fillet, we ordered a side of mushrooms which were forgotten..... and the table next to us were complaining that their mac & cheese had been forgotten also.
The bill was £96 we only had one small glass of wine, a beer and a cocktail, so didn't drink much alcohol . We travelled from Reading and just think with all the issues, you would get a better meal, in a better atmosphere and cheaper at Miller & Carter.
Food is amazing & venue is lovely just a shame it takes so long to get your food & drink. If your not in a hurry lovely place to eat.
Over priced for what you get. Nice restaurant layout but cold in there the evening we dined
It was a dinner with an old friend and everything was lovely - the food (we kept it light, as it was evening), the service and the overall atmosphere. I’ll return very soon!
We have been here a few times now and the food is always lovely. It is a little pricey but that is to be expected for the quality. I never used to be a steak eater but places like this have changed my mind! I didn’t like any of the starters as I’m a bit of a fussy eater, however I ordered a side instead and they were happy to accommodate that for me. The service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.
Brilliant steak. Took my son for his first steak. Other than him asking for it to be cooked a little bit more, he loved the experience. Will definitely visit again.
Arrived early but was seating quickly anyway as we were hungry, so was a nice start.
Seating was not as intimate as requested in booking, where i'd said a nice quiet corner, but was placed on a mid-row of couples tables seated close between other couples, which meant I sat closer to the other people than my partner so conversations were not private, more space should have been left between tables, but wasn't awful.
Service was good during the night, except for the bill which took 2 requests and then 3 people tried to bring at once, but the staff were very pleasant so wasn't too bad.
We selected from the Valentines menu (£49pp) so my other half had the two prosecco which came with it and I had a lager shandy (as I was driving and preferred that as my drink).
Ironically we both fancied the same three courses from the menu, which we normally do not do so was a nice change. maybe a few more options wouldn't go amiss on the valentines menu.
First course was the Carpaccio of beef, requesting some bread which was brought and cut to strips. The food was well prepared and tasted just as we hoped, the large croutons were very flavoursome, our only criticism was the large lump of Rosemary in the middle.
Main course was 280g Sirloin, cooked as we asked, with roasted garlic, tomatoes on the vine, fries and sauce. Basically, it was all beautifully cooked and tasted excellent. No criticism at all. Even the steak was well rested so it gave out no blood.
For Dessert was the sticky toffee pudding, which needed more toffee drizzled on, which the server agreed with after we commented during eating, but was still nice so we didn't make a complaint. the server thought we'd scraped it off the sponge cake, when she asked.
Decaf coffee for the Mrs as she wanted to sleep well (kids had got her up for a few nights) and I had a cup of tea to finish. Mint choc crunchy thins with the bill which were nice and we left a £15 tip. cost about £113.25 total.
Will definitely go again.
Service was slow and have been more than once and same service. Set menu and the bill was wrong and they couldn't work out what was wrong. Having said that food was excellent
Not overly impressed.
Restaurant was pretty much empty but tables of people put so close together that you could hear everyone else's conversation.
Not many wines on the menu but didnt have 2 we asked for and service was slow
This used to be my favorite restaurant in Bracknell, but not anymore.
I have booked a table in advance and have notified the restaurant that quite a lot of people were coming. This was meant to be my leaving due with my team.
However, when we came, there was only one waitress and only two people working in the kitchen. It took the food well over an hour and a half to be prepared and it arrived cold.
Steak was amazing service was very slow and lots of people complaining about it
The halloumi was amazing! The 3 boys had the tomahawk steaks which looked awesome and they said they were fantastic!
Great food and service, from the friendly welcome to the girl that served us. Would highly recommend
Very nice all round. Look forward to going back! +++++++++++
Expensive but worth it however, note they do add a service charge of 10%. No place has the right to add a service charge they are paid to do there job. Should always be down to customers discretion. Bang out of order. However food was amazing
Lovely steaks and the staff are friendly and attentive.
Cold room, under staffed and expensive small portions! Worst of all they gave my daughter a steak that had gone off. You can easily smell a steak that's gone off, so it definitely shouldn't have happened. We won't be returning.
The young lady who served us was very good, very polite and extremely professional but you go to a restaurant for the food not the service.
First time at Green's and it was very pleasant. Service was very good.
We had a good date night, but there were a few disappointments...
I ordered the chicken skewers which weren’t actually skewed! Just bits of cooked chicken in my plate.
Service was a bit slow, there were only 2 serving staff in our dining area.
My husbands ribs were awesome and I had massive food envy. Well cooked succulent rack of bbq ribs. I’d just go back for the ribs!!
Overal, we enjoyed our time and the decor is to my liking!
Not worth £66 though...
Great looking restaurant. Food was very good. It's not the cheapest but you get the impression it has no intention of trying to be. The quality of staff that were serving the tables varied. A couple were clearly new with not much experience the team was being held together by one waiter in particular. We were ok because we were relaxed and being just the two if us were an easy table to look after but I could see the larger groups were getting irritated by long waits for drinks to be brought.
The design and decoration of the restaurant was really to my liking. High ceiling wood and fake flames and the portions were good. I would return.
Extremely disappointed with the meal that we received on Sunday. We had requested roast beef to be informed that they had run out so we opted for the pork- we had to request gravy despite the menu stating that the meal came with gravy. My pork was extremely chewy. The potatoes were bland with evident of ‘black eyes’ and the so called roasted vegetables of carrots and parsnips were rock hard.
We won’t be returning any time soon.
Arrived for booking, sat next to a table of 4 drunk and very loud people. Had to ask to be moved. Table next to us also asked to be moved. Was then ignored for 45 minutes before being offered a menu. A further 14 mins until anybody came to take for food order. Restaurant was not busy. Poor service probably will not return. Miller and carter instead.
Had the roast beef on a Sunday lunchtime. Meat was good but veg, gravy & Yorkshire barely warm. Dessert good, decor is lovely. Probably should turn it into a wine bar rather than a steakhouse, would be popular then.
What a find! Great steaks and a nice ambiance only let down by the fact that it was half empty. It's in a location that means you have to look for it otherwise this would be a smash hit. Delightful staff couldn't do enough to make a nice evening even better
1st Class evening as always, never had a bad meal yet. See you again soon.
Food was luke-warm as was the service unfortunately, it was particularly quiet and the staff seemed uninterested and distracted. Very expensive also.
Overall food and service was good but the side of Mac n Cheese we ordered was too oily which put us off from eating it all
Pork ribs were amazing. Mrs steak was really nice too. Will def be back.
The service was incredible and I really felt like myself and my partner were cared for. The recommendations on the food was also helpful.
Shared a Chateaubriand and both of us thought the fillet was not as good as expected for the money, it was a little on the tough side and running blood/juices. 3 others in our party had the Rib Eye and were happy with it. Starters were overpriced - £7.70 (including service) for about 7 or 8 calamari rings. Drink prices are too high, I don't expect to pay London prices in Bracknell. We were never asked how our food was not during the meal or when paying.
Having said all that the service and the ambience were both good.
Love the building and 'fire' effect tables - gives it a great atmosphere. Steaks are excellent.
Food was ok but nothing special. Had to send back my fries as they had added so much salt they were inedible, ribs were very fatty and smothered in bbq sauce which would of been better if put in a small separate bowl to add for your own requirements.
Service was ok and if food was better improved it would of been fine but won’t be returning any time soon. Very disappointed.
