    The presentation of food and ambience is great. The food took a long time to come out and the ribeye was tough. This was a much awaited reservation and a bit disappointing.

    Stunning cozy interior and excellence attention from our waiter and water staff but we were had an inconsistent experience with dinner. Shrimp and tuna starter delicious. We should have ordered 2 of each. The Caesar salad also clever and yummy. None of us enjoyed the 2 pastas or the tofu and rice. The pastas may be fresh but they were flat. Our starters were small and no one wanted to finish them. The chicken and steak entree also outstanding. The eggplant was bitter and when my waiter asked if we liked it (the almost full eggplant untouched in everyone’s plates and still 50% remaining we gave him an adamant no. The key lime pie with meringue might be one of the best versions of key lime pie or meringue we have ever had and the chocolate tart creamy and delicious.

    Thouroughly enjoyed our first experience at Gingie tonight, from warm welcome at the door to thoughtful guidance with drinks and menu options, to creative and delicious meal with excellent service, we loved it. Highly recommend picking a dish for each person from apps, mids, and mains. We had Tuna Dip, Potato Frico, Tortelloni, NY Strip and Lobster followed by key lime and sundae. Each dish was flavorful, beautiful, and creative. We will fe back!

    Our group of four had an excellent dinner at Gingie. Service was attentive and helpful. Noise level was low, perfect for catching up with friends we hadn’t seen in awhile. Fave menu items: salmon handrolls, tuna dip, and sablefish.

    Great experience, food was phenomenal. They made our engagement anniversary super special-staff was super accommodating to us and our 3.5 year old!! -great come back Gingie! 👏🏼

    Amazing dinner at Gingie! Every dish was flavorful and delicious, the cocktails were spot on, and the service was excellent. Loved the beautiful décor and vibrant atmosphere. Chef Lockwood is a genius! Can’t wait to go back!

    Gingie is gorgeous! Both the lounge and dining room are beautifully done. The service was incredible from start to finish; I didn’t catch our bartender’s name, but Ian took wonderful care of us in the dining room. The food was every bit as impressive as the space and service. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked another dinner next month to bring family. This feels like one of those Chicago restaurants that’s going to have a three-month waitlist before long - and for very good reason.
