Tucked into Carrer Ample in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, Gilda by Belgious pairs creative tapas with Belgian favorites and Mediterranean flavors. Booked after seeing recommendations online. Nice wee place, very dark (had to put phone torch on to read menu 😀). Everyone enjoyed their food. Place is compact & bijou, very little room between tables. Definitely visit with friends for dinner and drinks.

After two weeks in Spain: This was by far the best meal experience! I which I had found them earlier, would have gone here multiple times. That’s how excellent the food and experience was!

We had a great evening at Gilda by Belgium’s with a group of six colleagues. The food was excellent - a really interesting meeting of Belgian and Spanish influences, with great flavors and dishes throughout. The Belgian beer menu was outstanding. They even have Orval, which is surprisingly hard to find even in Belgium - a fantastic touch for anyone who appreciates Belgian beer. What really made the evening special was the hospitality. Michel was incredibly friendly and attentive, checking on us several times and giving us some excellent recommendations. His passion for the restaurant and the food was very evident, and it made us feel genuinely welcome. Great food, great hospitality, and a place where we genuinely had a great time. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic! We loved the flaming lamb chops and the trio of croquettes. The Steak frites with the chimichurri sauce was fabulous. The Pornstar martini was delicious! We had a show to go to, so we couldn’t get dessert, but I’m sure it would have been equally as good as all the dishes we had. If you’re looking for Spanish food with a twist, this is the place! I would highly recommend and would return.
