   This was our second visit, and I think the food could be a little better for an art museum restaurant. It's good, it's just not outstanding. The bread on the chicken salad sandwich is ridiculously huge. Service was slow when it came to getting dessert orders and check. The live music was so-so. There are better groups around for hire.

   Food was Cold, Service was horrible. Server never checked so see if we needed anything or how our food was. No water or coffee refills, even though she visited other tables. Very disappointing....such a great venue and potential.

   The black bean burger looked and tasted as if it were from the freezer section of the grocery store, although we were informed it was made in house. The cup of soup was extremely small, but tasty and the wine pour was scant compared to others. Not a great dining experience, but a lovely room and not too noisy to talk.

   Delightful evening. The wild mushroom ravioli was surprisingly light yet very satisfying. Fried chicken was crisp and delicious. Warm chocolate cake was a wonderful contrast to salted caramel ice cream. Half price wine made it even better! Our server was friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

   The cream of crab soup was probably the best I’ve had in years. The rest of the meal was delicious. Gertrude is a great place for a date night.

   Wonderful food, service and ambiance. However it was extremely noisy this time. Also, can any thing be done about the rising parking rate? Maybe charging by the hour. Twelve dollars for less than two hours is steep. No parking was available on the street. This does affects people’s choice of restaurants.

    Gertie’s crab cakes were delicious, as was the polenta. Some of the other dishes were under-seasoned. Bread basket was yummy; we passed on dessert because we were too full.

    Staff opening a bottle of Prosecco exploded and sprayed over the wall and soaked my shirt and suit jacket. Restaurant seemed to think no problem, didn’t offer any towel, had to ask for a dry cloth napkin, our embarrassed server disappeared for long stretches afterwards. Manager refunded our drinks, but the discount will not even cover dry cleaning. Was really disappointed in their response.

    Even though we had not reserved specifically for outdoor seating, our hostess graciously seated us at a[n enclosed] patio table upon our request to be distant from other diners. The food, as always, was excellent: fresh, delicious, and attractively presented. Service was relaxed and just the right amount of attentive.

    Other than directions can be confusing to get there. Everything was great. Our server was friendly and accommodating. Didn't take any time at all though we did reserve a table and it was Sunday morning for brunch. Ambience was nice. It was roomy, didn't feel like we had to be squeezed in even though there were a good amount of people in there. The live music was nice. The food was delicious. Especially dessert. Kudos to Exec Pastry Chef Mike Brown for the dessert menu. Definitely will be back.

    Randy was our waiter and was attentive and pleasant. Food was delicious. Live music created a great ambiance. We were celebrating a birthday which I had noted on original reservation and without saying anything further they brought out a sweet treat with candle on it.

    Went for brunch on a Saturday with another couple. Service was very friendly. Oysters and crab cakes were the winning dishes. Overall a very nice experience. I think that it would be helpful for bread plates to come out when water comes out (we didn’t get bread until end of our meal).

    The prices for crab cakes were shocking. I don't consider a high noise level to be "energetic"; I consider it to be annoying. It was fine outside but inside was way too loud. The food was excellent. Our out-of-town company loved it. I would like to see more new offerings on the menu.

    I had brunch with my Mom. I could only get a reservation outside in the tent but the host said that they only had something inside available when we got there. That was excellent! The ambiance is wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food the last few times was good but not great.

    I had been wanted to dine here for a long time. I finally had an opportunity to do so. I was not disappointed but I was not impressed either. I had the shrimp and pasta. It was good, a little oily and no cheese or cracked black pepper was offered. The service was good and the food came out promptly. My husband had small plates. The zucchini was very good. The bread pudding was a little bland. Unfortunately, due to the location of our table and the position of the restaurant, I got a chill anytime some entered or exited the museum.

    The food was mediocre. I ordered extra crispy fried oysters. They were not. The salad was very “limp” and Tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. The noodles were tasty, my fault that I didn't notice they were served cold. The bread should have been warm. After lunch coffee was sent back because it was cold. The Mediterranean platter was excellent. Fresh, great presentation and warm pita. We should have ordered two of those. The key lime ice cream was also good. The saving grace for the entire experience was the service. The hostess, our server (Lou) and the busboys were all terrific and pleasant. They are keepers!!! Please transfer some of their service skills to the kitchen. We've been there a few times and this was my first disappointment. Hoping my next visit is much better.

    Excellent local/southern style food. Being originally from coastal NC, I’m extremely picky about both fried oysters and fried chicken. Both were impeccably cooked. I was also delighted to see a young Portuguese wine on the menu—a vinho verde. My spouse and I agreed we haven’t encountered a beverage that lovely since we lived abroad. Finally, I am disabled and use a service dog. Waitstaff handled this admirably, seating us along a wall and away from others as requested. My spouse and I felt truly felt welcome here for our anniversary lunch. Our server was named Peter and he is to be commended for his hospitality. In sum, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and will surely visit again!

    Gertrude's at the Baltimore Museum of Art never disappoints! The setting, service, food, and experience is always top notch. Our favorite entrees are Alla Bella Salmon and the Crab Quiche. Great vibe and friendly service every time we visit.

    We arrived 45" early for our 4:30 reservation, erroneously believing that the museum would be open. As we sat outside on a bench by the parking payment machine (not visible from inside the restaurant) we overheard the manager? Maitre d'? Some MALE, briefing the staff on what to expect. It was almost -- but not quite -- comical. After he explained the meals they would be serving, we overhead him instruct the staff to "expedite" guests, to move them through quickly. We heard him laugh and say that the Valentine's Day crowd is -not- sophisticated at all, that we basically go out to dinner once a year, and that we're not used to spending money for a good meal. On and on he went, talking about the negative qualities of his soon-to-arrive boorish, uncultured guests, whom he wanted to rush out as soon as possible. If my husband hadn't been with me, I might have been tempted to show myself and reveal that, unlike what he was saying, I WAS used to eating in sophisticated places, having traveled extensively throughout the world, and that I had eaten in restaurants on six continents. My point is, if that's his attitude about Gertrude's clientele, I'm sure it bled into his performance elsewhere, and I'm not sure I want to go back.
