Cool pub in Brookline with an authentic pub feel. Our party of 4 had brunch on a Saturday. Place was quiet at 11am and slowly filled up with families and some couples. The salmon eggs Benedict and short rib hash were excellent. Service was very friendly. Amanda was attentive and checked with us several times for coffee. We'd like to return for dinner sometime. The menu and beer list look great. We're fans of craft beer, and found the tap list very impressive with Hill Farmstead, Fiddlehead, Singlecut, and many other great craft beers on tap. We'll be back.

First time (and last) at this restaurant - chose it because of location and good reviews. No problems with the pub atmosphere and our server was pleasant and efficient. The food, however, left much to be desired. We ordered a gyro sandwich, a pizza and some chicken wings. The sandwich was mostly lettuce and tasteless. The pizza seemed like it came in a box from the freezer. The chicken wings were overcooked and dry. Couldn't believe that this place got good reviews! Haven't had a restaurant meal this bad in quite a while!

Room is comfortable...they agreed to move us to a booth. Cocktails were good. My friend ordered mac n cheese...she liked it. When I tasted it, I thought it tasted like macaroni with sour cream... I hate sour cream. The turkey sandwich was really good. Had the brussels sprouts as a side, fantastic! Pasta with braised green was good, but I kept biting into a pasta shell that tasted sour (old). Ate about half of it and gave up. The tiramisu was delicious! Coffee was fresh and good. Would try them again. Free music downstairs some nights!

Garrison House has a lot going for it. It has the perfect location, right ambiance, and the staff was fantastic. Unfortunately, none of these things can offset the poor quality of the food. We ordered a burger cooked medium, it came out practically still alive. We also ordered Mac and Cheese that had no flavor at all. Given the poor quality of the food, we have to leave a negative review. But again do want to compliment the staff for their kind and efficient service.

My sister-in-law and I had an absolute wonderful brunch there this past Saturday. We ordered the donut holes which was perfectly apple flavored. The mimosa flights were delightful. The breakfast poutine was a meal in itself!! Staff was very friendly and attentive, gave suggestions for our meals. Wonderful interaction. Would absolutely go again and again!

The food was fair at best. The fried fish sandwich was soggy and the burger dry. The Thai chicken wings were the best part of the meal. The wait staff was nice but the service was slow. It took 15 minutes to get a beer. Probably would not go back.

Service was great. We were a party of 8 and ordered various dishes and everyone was happy with their food. Zucchini fries and pretzels that we all shared were delicious. They were also very kid-friendly. Great neighborhood spot.

The restaurant was empty, yet there were long delays in our service. Hamburger ordered to be cooked well, yet was med rare. Desserts were not great - cookie dough was mostly caramel, and the crust on the cheese cake was grainy. The drinks were great - once they arrived!

Great lunch! Pretty extensive menu. Unusual Cobb salad but delicious. Topped ours with salmon—excellent! Noisy diners adjacent to our table but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Would definitely recommend & will go back if I’m in Brookline village again!

I visited Garrison specifically to hear a friend who played guitar at the bar for two hours on a saturday night. The bar at Garrison House had a relaxed feeling. While there was quiet conversation going on, we could still enjoy my friend's guitar playing. Our server was pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my steak and frites. I will happily return.

Garrison House is great! Brunch is so delicious and service was amazing. We got the donut holes, breakfast tacos, and the biscuits and gravy, all of which were super tasty. Also tried their Bloody Mary and was very impressed. 5 stars for sure!

The staff seemed unprepared for a busy Mother's Day Brunch and were visibly overwhelmed, although they were all working very hard. The restaurant was full and thus noisy, and the music was still playing very loudly. The food was average.

Nice to have the front windows open on the beautiful spring day we had lunch. We had a leisurely lunch, didn’t feel rushed by the waitstaff. Sandwich’s were good. Will definitely dine here again.

Main complaint is it takes forever for any server to come to your table after you've been seated; no one comes right away to see if you want a drink etc. Once the server did eventually come she was great! We found Garrison House on Open Table after striking out at finding a Sunday brunch spot in Brookline. It turned out to be a good find------good food, friendly wait staff, reasonable ambience, decent prices, and VERY casual. I would go again.

We were looking for a local restaurant for a double birthday celebration. We wanted a brunch menu and the birthday celebrant wanted a good Bloody Mary! We also needed easy access for our elderly mother/grandmother. Garrison House had it ALL!!! The staff were very accommodating and friendly, they lowered the music for us and had candles for the cakes we brought in. We were there after the lunch hour so it wasn't busy and we sat for a long while without feeling at all rushed. It was a lovely Saturday afternoon.

Brunch was great! Food was excellent, particularly the power bowl and the short ribs hash. I am not a eggs benedict fan, but my friend really loved hers. World go back and order the same thing. So good!

What a pleasant surprise! Brunch and live music! The host opened the door for us and warmly welcomed us in, wishing us a happy new year. The waitress was so nice and helpful. She offered us great recommendations. The other servers were helpful as well. The whole place was still decorated for Christmas and looked amazing. The food was yummy (the donut holes and short rib hash were amazing; the kale and egg flatbread was ok) and a great value. The musician (singer, guitar player and played the harmonica) was fantastic! We’re excited to come back and try the breakfast poutine!
