   Service was slow and 2nd drink didn’t come until after the meal was over. Food was ok but the chicken sandwich was bland however the pizza was very good.

   we were seated (a group of 6) and after 20 minutes no one had come to greet us, bring water or take drink orders. another table came in, waited 10 minutes and opted to leave. one of us went to find a staff member who said they'd get our server. another 5 or more minutes went by before anyone came. There seemed to be an issue with knowing who was going to be working our table but once that got sorted out the service for the rest of the night was great. I enjoyed my meal for the most part - the cauliflower starter was delicious but worthy of the $15 price point. I had the signature chicken sandwich. for dessert I tried the cream brulee - awful. tasted like it had been thickened with cornstarch to me. very bland with too much sugar topping. starter, sandwich, dessert & 2 drinks ran me $100 plus tip. I may try the Fox again but there are lots of other options in the area.

   Service was fabulous, all the waitresses and staff were friendly and helpful. Noise level got louder after 11 but before then it was great!!

   We arrived on time for our reservation. We were seated at a table that was tucked into a dark corner. We requested to sit elsewhere and were told there was nothing else but a high top table available but we could be moved if something became available. We were never moved. The noise level was very loud. The menu is only seen by scanning a QR code. The menu has a good variety. One of us had the beef dip and the beef was very tough and fatty. One of us had a burger - it was nothing special. The fries arrived cold and had to be replaced. The bill was accurate but was broken down In a weird way that didn’t make sense. Overall we were unimpressed and won’t go back. Also the restaurant never recorded in open table that we had arrived so we got a no show email.

   Made reservations for 530 pm. Sat for 10 minutes with no drink order taken. Noise level incredibly deafening. Sketchy atmosphere. Definitely not a place to ever waste your time with.

    We booked brunch for Saturday at 1pm, (understanding that this is a busy time). We arrived at 12:40 and we weren't seated until 10-15 after our reservation because we were waiting for the previous group to leave. We were also not informed of the 2hr seating limit which was awkward as we were celebrating 2 birthdays during our brunch. We ordered coffee, drinks, mains and a mimosa tower ($70) so we definitely spent over $300 with auto gratuity applied. It almost felt like our service was not wanted/appreciated. We definitely felt overlooked compared to other tables.

    Honestly, I was thinking this place would be more of a chill bar feel but it felt more like a club cause it was so loud and filled with young people who were there for brunch, such a bizarre scene but not in a bad way. Just caught me by surprise by the amount of people there on a Saturday morning. I felt old and probably would never come back, but it's okay - you don't need my business, I think you guys are doing great with the people you cater to. All the best!

    Paris was an absolutely amazing server. Paris was polite, attentive, social and everything you’d hope for in a server. We ordered the phat rice, fish & chips, Mac ‘n cheese and chicken fingers! It was an absolutely amazing dinner.

    Five of us met there before our Mirvish show. Great fun place, food was awesome and our server Lega (Layah) was over the top fantastic! We enjoyed our time before the show so much we went back after! Thank you Fox & Thank you Lega for making our night so great.

    My daughter in law and I had dinner before we went to the show of Hamilton. We were a little early, but they seated us right away. Our meals came out very quickly and were wonderful. Overall an excellant experience. Would highly recommend. Thanks Heather and Melanie.

    One of the bathroom stalls was out of commission with a disconnected lever. I found the server and communicated the issue but saw no sense of urgency. Upsetting as restaurant was full of patrons with a close curtain time. Focus was on turning table instead of customer experience. Pity.

    In town for “Hamilton “. Perfect venue for dinner with teens prior to the show. Fast friendly service. Great food. All of it. Drinks pricey, but great food for reasonable price in downtown TO. Definitely will go back.

    Waitress was great. Even though we had reservations for 8:15 pm and arrived 30 minutes early we got seated immediately. The meal was outstanding, we would definitely recommend The fox on John street.

    Great food, good service, however the atmosphere was way too loud for our liking. We are a family of 3 (6 year old child) and we're looking for a nice dinner spot. Unfortunately, we couldn't really chat / hear each other very well. For a night out with friends, it's perfect.

    Not a great experience for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated promptly but then waited almost 20 minutes for someone to come by and ask if we wanted to order food or drinks. However we didn't even have menus. We were told to scan the QR code. Would have been nice to know that when we were seated. The drinks menu is good but pricey. The food however was a real disappointment. I ordered a basic burger and fries. It did say in the menu it had thousand island dressing in it but I thought it was an interesting twist, until I tasted it. Why they thought to put it on a burger along with pickled onion I have no idea. It tasted awful. I didn't even eat a quarter of it. Hubby had fried chicken sandwich and also didn't finish it. Who puts shredded carrots on fried chicken? With so many other choices in the area we will give this one a miss.

    I’ve been to Fox on John twice and each time I’ve really enjoyed my experience. The staff are super friendly and attentive, the food is consistently great, and the mimosa tower is always the highlight at my table!! I’ve recommended a few people who have also really enjoyed their experience here. Definitely a go-to brunch spot.

    The food was ok. The drinks were perfect. Sangria was only $8. The service was excellent. We were going to The Princess of Wales theater and this was in a great location to grab a bite.

    Pre-theatre brunch with family. Food was delicious! Restaurant is very nice but a bit noisy (I have difficulty hearing conversation over the background noise). Service was good, helpful with menu items and delivered food while it was still hot!! Any restaurant that has tots on the menu is for me😍

    Service was very slow, had to order our drinks 3 times before we got them. You could tell they were under staffed, had a good view of the entire dining room from where we were sitting, and it seemed like all tables with only two people were visited by wait staff half as much as tables with bigger groups, we were definitely somewhat ignored and we weren’t the only ones. The food was pretty good although my lobster Mac and cheese only had tiny pieces of lobster like it came from a can.

    It was a great place to enjoy among friend. In particular, Julian, the server, was outstanding, helping, friendly, and even the manager was a good guy.
