About this restaurant

  • Great for craft beers
  • Good for groups
  • Lively
Fogg Street Lawn Club offers multiple levels of entertainment, boasting an 8000 sqft rooftop pub with one of the best views of the Nashville skyline and a 2,500-square-foot indoor soccer and rugby pub. Every soccer (fútbol) game that is televised can be watched here - yes even those 6am Premier league games!

Our menu features house-made British and Celtic-inspired items with a bit of a Southern flare in addition to an impressive British/Irish draft beer and whiskey selection.

The new venue was created by Thom and Angela Dahle who founded Bad Axe Throwing Nashville in 2021. The Lawn Club is located next door to Bad Axe Throwing and is now a solid addition to the up-and-coming PieTown neighborhood. Fogg Street Lawn Club is located at 648 Fogg Street.

We went for Adam Doleac’s album release. Doors opened at 5, so I made a 5:30 reservation on the rooftop where he would be performing. This was an option on Fogg Street’s website which then took me to OpenTable. I booked it. We arrived and they checked our tickets. I informed the nice girl at the door that we have reservations for the rooftop. She pointed us in the right direction. We get upstairs and there is one bartender who never looked up to greet us. We had to walk over to him and let him know we had a reservation for a rooftop table. He was confused and said he will go ask his manager. He came back a few minutes later and had a bit of an attitude telling us that there are no rooftop reservations and that the tables are closed due to the show. I told him we are there for the show, but wanted to eat first. He said “Look, I’m just telling you what I was told by my manager. There are no table reservations tonight up here.” So we went back down to the restaurant / bar inside. We sat down to eat. The fish and chips were decent. No regular tartar sauce, it’s an old bay mixture combined with the tartar sauce. Which was fine, I just didn’t eat it. The fish was good enough without tartar sauce. We go back to the rooftop. Order an Old Fashioned. They don’t allow glass up there, so it was just some ice in a thicker plastic cup, but the old fashion was premixed and they had Mezcal in it … WAY TOO MUCH! It tasted like the Chloroseptic throat spray. Not even kidding. It was $37 for two old fashions. I took one sip of mine and set it down and never had another sip. My girlfriend drank less than half of hers just because she didn’t want to waste it because of the price. It was quite possibly the worst old fashion we’ve had and that’s usually our go to, so we’re no stranger to them. All in all, I think this could be a great place, but the service wasn’t that great. The food was mediocre, but I guess good for a bar. And the drinks were a little less than average.

Expensive parking for lunch. Enjoyed our lunch before the game. Sam, our server, went above and beyond to give us a great experience.

The staff was rude as soon as I walked in, I informed the young lady I had reserved the Rooftop she stated we don’t have any seats they are all reserved. I informed I was traveling from out of town that was the purpose of me researching and reserving in advance because I was coming in for the 4th of July and I wanted to get a Good review of the fireworks, then she stated I can find you a seat but you want be able to see the fireworks Then she gone say, I see your name but I think you downstairs. I stated no it says Rooftop. She was not very pleasant & it was not what I expected,. so we left and went elsewhere and because of the experience, I wouldn’t refer anyone to go there. Oh yeah, a guy came over also, I explained what happened he then state, oh thats the internet and they’re not here so they don’t know what seats we have available thats just sales and you really can’t see the fireworks up here anyway. I would recommend the Barstool or walking near AT&T. Again, so we left. Poor customer service all around a I wouldn’t recommend my dog to go there.
