   Our check-in and seating were both quick and in accord with our reservation timing. The server could not have been better; patient, caring, and well trained with respect to each menu item, indeed, helpful to the fullest extent. The food and service were a real treat, and we will surely return.

   Firebirds is one of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. Have been a bit disappointed the last two times re: the quality of the steaks. I have prime rib which was tough which was tough and sent back, changed to a filet magnon which was ok. Then yesterday for lunch, decided to try the ribeye and it was not as flavorful as others I have had. This was a bit on the tough side. The service was great. I have always thought the noise level was a bit loud, but not sure what can be done without bringing in an acoustical engineer. Overall, things are fine except to watch the prime rib for better cuts for the customer. I'll be back for sure. Tony Booth

    I think they were just understaffed, and that's really me trying to read the room. Service was very slow, our table wasn't set with utensils and plates, waiter was gone for long periods of time in-between. This was not my first time visiting the franchise but first and last at this location.

    Had to ask to refill water when AC unit was down in building. No offer to further accommodate and didn’t give heads up despite holding reservation for 1 month. Food had to be sent back multiple times. Wait staff not coordinating with kitchen. Restaurant quality has really gone down lately.

    My 72 birthday dinner I was a little disappointed that my favorite steak had been changed to a garlic roasted steak. I don’t like garlic and they didn’t have a regular option for the 12 oz sirloin

    I ordered a grilled NY Strip steak well done. It was dry and terrible taste, which I only ate 1/3 of it. The only reason why I did not return it back to the cook, is because the waitress demonstrated excellent service. However, this was my husband’s birthday celebration, which he enjoy his New York Steak cooked medium well, so I was content that he was satisfied with his meal. I personally would not recommend someone to this restaurant if they’re looking for a fine dining restaurant. Table cloths in the dining section would give it a different ambience.

    Very dark, could not read menu. Nice and polite staff. BIG club sandwich, tasty ! I had LOADED baked potato , more like a NAKED potato! Not enough toppings, probably a teaspoon each of cheese, bacon and sour cream, no butter. Waitress told me to use leftover butter from the bread! The bread was fabulous! We ordered onion rings to share! FABULOUS! Well seasoned and homemade! Also, cheesesteak eggs, to share! Fabulous! Hot, crispy -and very flavorful. Would not really go again

    Our table was ready when we arrived so we were seated with no waiting. The server came right away to take our drink orders. Once everyone in our group arrived, we placed our orders. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and everyone enjoyed what they got and the portions were adequate. The noise level was probably an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. We had a large round table and you needed to talk very loudly to be heard across the table, but that is to be expected in a large open space like that. Our visit was about 1.5 hrs. and we all left full and happy. We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others.

    Family and friends were in Richmond for a funeral and we decided to try Firebirds since I go to the one near me outside Philly. First let me say our waiter Joel was very attentive. However, the food and drinks were a little slow coming out and our drinks were not good at all. However, Kudos to the manager that came over and apologized and comp’d our drinks. I would go back and was happy they could accommodate 20 of us at once

    Salmon salad (dressing on side) and spinach with salmon salad were great choices. Salmon was tender and tasty. Server quite attentive. Great place for 2 friends to eat, drink and talk without loud music or talking. Liked to space between tables.

    Firebirds Wood Fire Grill at Short Pump is a great place to dine. Our recent visit was after a performance at the Atria Theater in Richmond. We did some shopping before dining, had a wonderful meal (I had the Salmon, my wife a salad with chicken). We had reservations, but arrived 30 minutes early. No problem, we were promptly seated. Service was prompt, courteous and attentive without being pushy. The restaurant is clean spacious. Not a romantic atmosphere as the inside is noisy and the lights on the tables are a bit on the bright side for my taste.

    We were promptly seated, and Anna was our server. She introduced herself. She was lovely. She came right over. She got our drinks quickly. She took our meal orders quickly. She came back several times to make sure that everything was fine. We had a great experience there were seven of us. My only complaint was the baked potato had too much salt on the skin so if that’s the worst I can come up with it’s pretty good.

    Waitress provided kind and prompt service and made it an overall pleasent experience. Baked potatoe was overcooked (brown in the inside) and brocolli was a mix of green and yellow. I've had better food quality.

    I had ordered "steak fries" with my entree, but really got French fries. I'm not complaining (too much) it was just a surprise that I did not receive what I had anticipated. I suppose every restaurant can have their own interpretation of a particular item, but the term steak fries, in my opinion, denotes a much larger and wider potato then a French fry. No big deal really, the management was exceptionally understanding and helpful. The service was very good.

    Easter Sunday Lunch! It was lovely having a smart very attentive associate greet us and welcome us. Her name is Cher. She was professional and caring. She was very pleased to share specials with us. The food was excellent and we were well cared for. Firebird’s is not only great for special occasions but it never disappoints. Cher was absolutely wonderful; I hope the manager knows how valuable she is.
