   We went here on St. Patrick’s Day because it was one of the few restaurants that was taking reservations. I had made the reservation at least 1 month before. We were told by the host that they cannot honor the reservation and we should have never been able to make the reservation. We waiting around 20 min for a table. Food wasn’t great. It was a holiday so service was not the best. Would not recommend this restaurant.

   We made a 6:30 reservation through Open table and arrived 15 mins early. No one was at the hostess station. As we waited, two more parties arrived. The wait staff ignored us. I finally stopped a server and asked who was manning hostess station. We waited an additional 5 mins before the hostess, who hand been cleaning tables finally arrived and stated the restaurant does not take reservations and they did not have an outside table. This seemed odd because when w e first arrived the couple in front of us declined an outdoor seating. The restaurant did not appear to have a manager on staff and after being told there was no outdoor seating even though we had a confirmed reservation we left. I will not return to this restaurant. I should state we received 3 texts, 6:27, and two more at 8:37 our table was ready. Spent $200 across the street for a wonder dinner for two!

   Never received our food. The waiter or the kitchen lost our ticket. So, we sat there for an hour and half while the waiter kept telling us, "Your food will be right out. Your food will be out shortly. Y'alls should be next on the list." While we proceed to watch people that sat down after us get their food, eat, pay, and then leave. The thing is those tables didn't have a different waiter either. Nope, same one as ours and he never noticed. Just kept telling us to sit tight. Then after waiting for an hour and half the waiter then tells us they lost the ticket, and that he could put the order back in. Well, we paid for our drinks and appetizer, no discount for the inconvenience or anything, and picked up Jimmy John's on the way home instead. This was our first time eating at Fiddler's, and our experience was not pleasant in the slightest. The only up I can give them? Is their crab dip is really good. Sadly that's all I got to try.

    Really enjoyed the spicy garlic shrimp appetizer and shrimp and grits...they were delicious. the balcony was a great place to watch the huge cranes come up the river. Win win

    Food was not good - frozen fish/seafood, served close to its natural state. Sent the first attempt back and it was only marginally better the second time around. Dishes came at different times, wine came whenever. A waste of over $100.

    We were seated promptly however our server didn’t come to the table for about 15 min. It took forever to get our drinks. Our appetizers were wonderful! The meal came out wrong and our server was no where to be found again. Not sure if we will return.

    When we got there and got sat, we had to wait 20 min to get a server. It was not that busy and we still had to wait for service. Once we ordered drinks we had to wait another 15 for those. And the mixed drink was TERRIBLE. The food was average but the service was NOT good. Would not come again.

    We made a reservation for 8 pm and arrived on time, only to be told that it would be another 25 - 30 min wait. I understand it was spring break season, but the point of a reservation is to hold your spot. After we got seated two of my friends never received their food everyone else had already finished eating when it finally came out. It was a disappointing time.

    We made a reservation in the app after calling to make one (the kid that answered said he was really busy and asked us to use the app). When we arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time we were told it would be another 30-40 minted because they only had one server. Got seated outside, the server was fairly attentive to the best of his ability and was prompt with getting us what we asked for. Food was decent (crab cake was a bit over cooked), mixed drinks were good. Shrimp was good as well as the streamed oysters.

    Highly understaffed. Our entrees was disgusting, I had a crab-cake sandwich and my boyfriend had the oyster and clam strips. Our appetizer was the crab dip which is the only thing I recommend on the menu. We made reservations, but had to wait 15 minutes. We told our waiter that we didn’t like our food & our waiter told us there was nothing he could do. I should have asked to talk to a manager.

    This is a good restaurant, but they are not equipped to handle disabilities. My husband had to park his wheelchair downstairs and hope he could make it up the stairs to our table.

    Worst restaurant ever. We ate here on our last trip to Savannah and was very disappointed, but we decided to give them a try again. Well, let’s just say that it was even worse, which is explains why we were able to get a reservation here, as every other restaurant were tried was booked. The server, who was new, was awful. I gave him grace but forgetting my appetizer, my salad, and leaving our meal in the back only to have it served ice cold was unacceptable. We watched the table next to us come in 20 min after us, eat and leave before we even had our dinner served, it made sense as they had a server that didn’t forget about them and was present. I made him aware of our ice cold meal once he FINALLY returned to check on us. He apologized and asked if we wanted them to remake it, but it tasted so bad that I certainly didn’t want it again. The server was horsing around in the back as we could clearly see and was just oblivious to attending to his only table. It was almost comical how poor the food and service was that we experienced. We asked for the manager who never came over. We are extremely sweet people but this was just bad. My husband and I laughed at everything going on. At one point, I said that I think we are getting punked. I couldn’t believe how bad everything was from the service to the super small and cold portions. But what was so unbelievable was that nobody cared! The ding ding server apologized at the end when giving us our bill, and we had to ask that he remove the items we didn’t receive. He was like, oh you didn’t get your chowder? Are you kidding me? Haha we are your only table, how could you even ask that question with a straight face. You had only us!!!! You don’t remember if you brought us soup or salad! Dude, you’re killing me! It was insulting to pay 130 for garbage! I’ll be surprised if they remain open. Don’t waste your time or money. The food is subpar and the service is worse than worse (whatever that word could be)

    We made reservations and even called the place ahead of time to determine that one person was in a wheelchair and could they accommodate and they said yes. We walked in and before we could say anything the bartender said we are sold out for the night. I then said that we had reservations and she indicated they did not have an elevator but they could fit us in the bar area. They were accommodating but the dinners were just average in general. We had multiple appetizers and they were good especially the crab dip. My husband had the fried platter and the food looked over fried. I had the crab cake and it was good and full of crab. Glad we went but not sure I would go back. Let’s just say I had 3 martinis and didn’t feel like I had a drink. Their drinks are small and the last martini didn’t even fill the glass.

    It was our anniversary/valentines dinner so we made a 6:00 reservation. The table wasn’t ready but we understood since it was a busy weekend. We went to the bar to wait. After an hour and 15 minutes my husband went to check on the table, the host said he just got it ready(FYI... they have a 5 minute grace period for you to check into your reservation). We ordered cups of soup and our entree. It took about 45 minutes for our meals to come out. When they arrived my husband’s order was wrong. The waitress asked if he was sure, lol. I didn’t want to eat without him so I sent mine back so the meals would come out together. In 30 minutes they came out but my food was cold because it must have sat while they made his. The waitress offered to microwave it for 3 minutes. This really wasn’t an option because I was paying full price for a fresh meal. They ended up bringing us both new meals but this was around 8:45 and we were over it. No real apologies from anyone just the full price check. We think the waitress forgot to order our food right after ordering our soups which started the snowball rolling. The $5 drafts were ice cold at least.

    We were there the day before Valentines. The place was busy as one would expect. When we made the reservation we followed up with the restaurant as were seated outside, that the area was heated. The evening of our dinner was very cold and windy. My family was huddled up in the cold. Service was a little slow. We were forced to rush our eating. The host was asked several times if he could find an inside table but were told that due to the number of reservations that it was unlikely. The food was good. Would have been nice to relax and enjoy it. We would like to try again on a nicer day

    If you’re looking for mediocre food and don’t care about ambiance, this restaurant will suit you. The staff was friendly and the servers were attentive. For a seafood restaurant on River St I expected higher quality food and a different dining atmosphere.

    Excellent blue crab soup and I’m a snob - may have been the best I’ve ever eaten. Oysters Rockefeller were very good too. They have a fantastic IPA beer selection. I was pleasantly surprised after waiting 30 minutes for a table at 1:30.

    We went for lunch before getting on the road. As an appetizer we ordered the crap dip. It tasted fine, not much crab but what made me gag was pulling up a chip with a long hair hanging from it. The dip had a cheese crust over it so that means the hair cooked in the dip. I also ordered the seafood platter. It was large and had a nice variety of seafood to choose from. It was just okay. The batter they use is under seasoned. Not terrible though. My favorite part was sitting near a window that had a good view of the river. Lighting is very low inside.
