   Food was just OK. We went at lunch. I expected more from an “upscale casual restaurant” (as described on their website). I also expected a restaurant at that level to recognize the many dietary restrictions and offer options to make substitutions. Particularly for me I was needing low carb options. They don’t offer lettuce wraps for burger or any sub options for the fries. Timing and service was good.

   Ate here 3 times during the week. Food is really excellent, including best fried chicken and burger I have ever had. Highly recommend salmon as well. The service was first class each night. Reasonable price for the very high quality. A definite recommend!

   Food was good, however the service was very slow. I don't know if it was the kitchen or the waiter, but I would go back again.

   The staff did an excellent job in making my wife’s Mother’s Day surprise dinner a huge success. The cocktails was made perfectly! The dinner was 5-star served and the gooey yellow cake with vanilla ice cream was the show-stopper! It was so delicious! I definitely recommend this place for everyone to try if you want a wonderful evening out. We’re definitely satisfied indeed!!!

   Our waiter was excellent. I had the southern fried chicken it was way over cooked the breading was so crisp you couldn't eat it. The mashed potatoes and gravy were cold. My wife had the baked organic chicken which consisted of a leg and a wing it came with green beans which consisted of five beans. It was way over priced for the quality of the fried chicken and the quantity of the baked chicken and green beans.

    Wow! We did a Mother’s Day Saturday celebration and boy were we impressed. The crab hush puppies, burnt ends and the shrimp and grits were delicious. Service was on point and the drinks were impressive. Also they validated our parking. Win win!

    They were not really busy but it still took 45 minutes to get our entree even though we ordered it at the same time we put our drinks and apps order in. It was very noisy in the restaurant. My food was so salty that I could not finish it. The manager knew we weren’t happy and did comp one of our appetizers. I feel that I could have definitely gotten a $150 meal somewhere else and enjoyed it better. The servers all had a finger in the inside of our plate or bowl when they brought the food out and no one was wearing gloves. We went to this place on a recommendation from someone who had brunch there. Maybe we should have tried that instead of dinner.

    F/L was outstanding. Andrew was great and while very busy he clearly did his best to keep up with us. The drinks were a pleasant departure from the standard varieties of drink offerings. The Maymont Mules we’re just what the doctor ordered, after a trip to and a 4hr walk in Maymont Park. The Gooey Butter Cake, topped w Amoretto ice cream was a shock of delicious delight. It was an exciting end to a perfect day. And the manager was so personable. We thank you from our satiated hearts. We’ll be back!

    The server staff were not really helpful. My personal server was good but the server that kept bringing out our food would just slap it on the table and walk away. I tried to ask her for something several times and she ignored me. I would then have to wait for my server to come for me to get anything I needed i.e. app plates for the appetizer.

    The food was horrible. I ordered shrimp and grits. I was served over cooked shrimp and and cheese. Couldn’t taste the grits at all. My guest had the salmon with veggies. There was no flavor and the salmon was overcooked

    Shockingly delicious for a hotel restaurant. I don't usually have much luck in hotels, but this was great. I had the honey chicken sandwich and it was yummy!

    Note - this is a hotel restaurant (attached to Marriott). Overall extremely disappointing. The food was very subpar. The hush puppies were small and mostly burnt. The greenhouse gemelli barely had any zucchini and veggies and sat in a bed of oil/butter. The fried chicken was a very large portion with 5 pieces and worth the $, but the breast and thigh were raw in the middle. The 4+ rating is very deceiving. The service was great, hence the 1 star.

    Our expectations were high and we found it very disappointing. It was very loud more like a sports bar atmosphere than a dining experience. Although the food was very good and our waiter was excellent, we did not receive our entree until approximately an hour after our appetizer. The wine selection left much to be desired.

    Loved our first visit to Fall Line. Food and drinks were amazing. Service was some of the best we’ve ever had. I had the wild mushroom bolognese that was absolutely delicious. My husband had the shrimp and grits that was equally just as good. Will definitely go again.

    Oysters were on sale during happy hour for $2 each. They are not shucking fresh oysters though....they are placing oysters in shells. They are re-using oyster shells. I'm concerned that this is a food safety issue and they were tiny. It was obvious that the oyster they used wasn't living the shell it was delivered in to the table. Do Better!!! I can't recommend this place if I think there is a food safety issue with raw oysters.

    had the organic chicken and Shrimp& Grits. Chicken was cooked perfectly, could of had more seasoning but not bad, came with a gravy, pretty good flavor. i do wish they would not put the chicken on top of the potatoes. shrimp and grits were good but grits were different than what we normally get, a little chunkier.

    We had an exceptional time at Fall Line while celebrating our anniversary. We each had a glass of prosecco, we split the Deviled Egg appetizer, enormously enjoyed the Halibut and the Steak Frites. Both prepared perfectly and the Halibut was out of this world delicious with an unexpected delightful flavor twist of a bed of tomatoes, fennel, sweet peppers and pickled fruit. Key Lime Pie and Chocolate cake rounded out the dinner wonderfully. The Chef came out and spoke with us and Leah was our server who we cannot praise enough!! Will request her next time we dine at our new favorite restaurant!
