   Really enjoyed this restaurant. We sat at the bar and the bartender Wes made the best drinks. He was very kind and welcoming. The music was up beat and the environment was fun. I would recommend and will be returning.

   Wes, our server, greeted us kindly and was super attentive during our meal. The crispy oyster appetizer was the highlight of the evening. Highly recommend. We plan to return next time we are in town.

   Great surprise. Never heard of it and found it on Open Table and took a shot. Huge win for us. Maria was a great server. All the staff was friendly. Food was great. We will be back.

   Love love love Estella - this is such a wonderful restaurant close by to the theatre district. Food is amazing - we love the fish tacos, sweet potato fries and the asparagus to share :) Service is great - very helpful and attentive when you need it! Really nice atmosphere as well. Fabulous choice and always make a reservation. Very lovely staff :)

   I have been twice now. First time sitting in the basement and second time, upstairs. Kinda felt out of place sitting upstairs because it wasn’t the same experience I had previous. I enjoy music, so I want that vibe! Food was great and the Blue Mule is on point. Next time I will request not to sit upstairs.

    Our first time here and we will definitely be back ! We loved the whole vibe of the place menu had plenty of options from Lightfare to full courses. We sat at the bar, the bartenders were great, and from the time you walk through the front door until when you leave every member on the staff is attentive, Mike, the GM even took time to come by to say hi to us, usually you only see them do that to guests at the tables, we were very impressed with him and his team. This place has a cool vibe. We did not go back for the DJ later in the evening but it’s definitely on my to do list.

    Very nice restaurant. Food & service were good. It was a little loud. I had a beam sticking out where I sat in a two seater table. It was fine, but I’d consider not having a tiny table even more crowded by seating anyone there. We’d definitely come back again.

    The staff at Estella are very friendly, they check on you often. Make sure to offer a refill when your cup is empty. The food was very good and the music was not too loud and a great selection for the vibe.

    My gf and I enjoyed the food very much. The only issue was seating for 2. We got put at a small table against the wall and the bar on the other side, creating a pinch point in the walk way.. needless to say the constant traffic going by us was very annoying, so we asked to be moved and they did. Other than that, we liked the place.

    Pre-theater dinner. We had a 5:45 reservation and finished dinner with time to spare for 8pm show. Waitstaff were attentive. Tasty food and drinks!

    We had dinner here before a show at the Opera House. We sat upstairs. The service was excellent. We had a great waiter (Britney?) who took really good care of us. The cocktails were also very good. We split some fajitas and one of us had a burger. Good value and nice taste. We would eat here again before going to the theatre.

    We spoke to the waiter as soon as we got into the restaurant and told him that we had to get to a play 90 minutes later. Our food only reached us 30 minutes before the play so needless to say we had to rush and leave quickly so we wouldn’t miss showtime.

    We came for a pre-theater dinner. Overall it was okay. A bit noisy. Our server Maria was wonderful. The food ranged from okay to very good. I got a “Tastes Like Candy” cocktail which was very good. The calamari was pretty standard, the lobster bisque was very thick and too salty. The short rib pizza was very good. The salmon was okay but the pasta it came with was great. The truffle Mac and cheese was very good but didn’t taste like truffle.

    Went to see Hamilton and came here for dinner afterwards. The drinks were amazing along with the food. The waitstaff is very attentive. Great atmosphere.

    I went here with a few friends, one of my friend’s birthday we have fun, and the service was fantastic David the server was very nice. The food was amazing we had lamb chops, salmon pasta and Shoty and mesh everything was excellent my opinion. I would definitely recommend. I personally loved the environment was top.

    This is the best restaurant in Boston, I have come here multiple times to celebrate different families birthdays and they really go above and beyond. They focus on the details and they make you feel warm and happy to be there. They have one of the best food and drinks in the boston metro area. Boston best kept secret and they only been opened for several months. I really appreciate the simple things, great mixture of amazing food & drinks and to top it off , great service.

    We were attending Hamilton so we made the reservation at 530 for an 8pm show thinking we would have a dinner that was not rushed and enjoy a cocktail after dinner. From the time we entered we were seated immediately, handed a QR code for the menu and within 5 minutes we were asked what we wanted to drink. We were off to the races! I know that they are used to moving a crowd but the pace of the dinner seemed relentless. We ordered asparagus fries which were big think asparagus lightly breaded and fried and were actually good! The coconut shrimp my husband ordered were also good but not something I would order again. We asked the server what the restaurant was known for and she said the seafood chandelier, the filet and pistachio salmon fettuccine. My husband got the seafood chandelier and I ordered the filet medium. She said it was a beautiful soft steak so when no steak knife was brought I assumed the steak was able to be sit with a table knife. So wrong. It was absolutely rare and tough as leather. It come covered in a pile of fried onions so I had to dig to find the steak! Mashed potatoes were underwhelming and lukewarm. Someone who could have been a chef was wandering the dining room. I told my server that the steak was not cooked to my liking and she offered to cook it some More. I declined as the cut of meat would not have benefited from more time cooking as it was so tough. My husband was ok with his choice but the shrimp looked like it can from a frozen bag you might buy at the grocery store and there were 4-5 muscles and some very small scallops. I did ask for them to remove it from my bill and they did and were very apologetic. I am sure it’s tough for them Being so close to the theaters, the pressure must be great to turn tables so people are not late for the shows. They were super busy and it I was crazy loud and very hot in the restaurant. It felt great to get out side! We arrived and 530 and were leaving by 6:20.

    Came here before and the service was better then than it was this evening. Multiple servers attended to our table which is fine but when we were ready to order our server was nowhere to be found so someone else took it and when we were ready to check out a different server had taken over our table but we were not aware. Other than that drinks were great and so was the food.

    We went for a pre-show dinner, and thought an hour would be enough time. It was crowded, lots of people apparently going to the same show bc the place was cleared out when we left. Service ok for a short-handed staff; these guys were really running to try to feed everyone! But not fair to the diners bc we had poor service. We waited 45 minutes for our food to come out, so only had 5 minutes to eat, but it was delicious! (“Shorty” beef & mashed—we both had the same). Too bad we could hardly enjoy it! The beef was very tender & the sauce was yummy. I would’ve liked more sauce! The menu said we would get “microgreens” with the dinner but we did not. Waiter disputed that it was part of the dinner til I showed him the menu. Didn’t matter anyway bc we didn’t have time to finish our delicious food bc we had to pay the bill while eating so that we could run to the theater! We barely made it on time. I’m disappointed that this nice evening was spoiled by the stress of not getting our food in a reasonable timeframe, and having to track down & ask the waiter for everything (to take our order, to refill our water, to find our food!!, to pay the bill. We never got the receipts we’d requested, but no time to ask again or wait.). There was a great vibe in the place and I enjoyed the music. Food was great & reasonably priced. My cocktail was just ok; I thought drink prices were high. Maybe we’ll try Estella again eventually in hopes the service & kitchen problems are resolved. Glad to have a good restaurant near Downtown Crossing!

    Absolutely terrible experience. We were seated immediately and we ordered our drinks , apps and meal as suggested by the waitress since she said it would be better. I ordered a negroni and my wife just wanted a root beer. We ordered pretzels and then our meals. After 45 minutes our app came out. The pretzel was cold . Still no drinks. About 10 minutes later my negroni came out and they informed my wife they didn't have any root beer. She then asked for an iced tea. I tried my drink and it wasn't exactly what I expected from a negroni so I asked the waitress if what I got was the negroni . She said yes and then suggested she can ask the bartender to double check. Twenty minutes later , my wife still didn't have her drink and I haven't gotten my drink back. We had to ask for a refill if water. At this point we decided to leave. We told our waitress we were disappointed and just wanted to pay for what we got . She looked at our order realize we didn't get anything we ordered and said don't worry about. She said she was going to bring the manager immediately but then proceeded to take another tables order. She then walked us down and said she was going to have us talk to the manager but I think she just brought us down to walk us out. Unsure if she was worried we were going to make a scene or not. It wasn't the best way to celebrate my wife's birthday or valentine's day.

    After reading other reviews, I was really hoping for a better experience but unfortunately, they were all right! The food is mediocre and the drinks were sub par. The only saving grace was the waitress who was kind and attentive. The reviews mentioned long waits for food service and again, they were right! There was also NO heat and where we were seated (downstairs) there was a steady leak coming from a speaker. We really wanted to love this place but sadly, will not be returning until they can get their (food) service down to a shorter turn around time and there’s better bar/mixology skills.
