Emilio and Gloria Estefan bring a new concept for sophisticated Cuban cuisine and live music to the Miami Design District’s Palm Court.
Emilio and Gloria Estefan announced they will debut their new fine dining concept, Estefan Kitchen, in the Miami Design District. Inspired by family recipes, Estefan Kitchen brings a refined take on Cuban cuisine to one of Miami’s most vibrant shopping and lifestyle destinations.
We waited a full hour after we’d been seated for our first glass of wine which had been ordered about 30 minutes earlier after a 15 minute wait for the wine list. We waited 15 more minutes for our appetizers which we’d ordered at the same time as the wine. While we waited, a party of 18, who had come in after us, were served their appetizers. When ours arrived, only 4 of the 6 were correct. The other two people waited a further 10 minutes. Next time we saw our server, one of us asked if his appetizer wasn’t supposed to come with something else. The server checked with the kitchen and returned after we were all through with our appetizers to confirm that there should have been other things in his soup.
The next time we saw our server we were assured that our entrees would be right out, and in 15 minutes they were. They were very good. As was our second bottle of wine. We would have ordered a third but we never saw our server until we were done with our entrees. After another 15 minute wait we were prepared to ship dessert and just ask for the check but decided to order the check with dessert which took 15 or 20 minutes.
Our party ranged in age from 30 to 75 and, while we all agreed that we’d been in louder places, we still, all, felt the music was too loud. (The piano player was very good but could have closed the piano so that we could have had a conversation.
The fact that it took us 2 1/2 hours to have a meal would not have been so awful except that the long spaces between courses were accompanied by an empty bottle and empty glasses. If the server had checked more often we probably would have gone through 4 bottles instead of 2.
The regular menu has all the gluten free and vegan items labeled as such but the Miami Spice menue only identifies the vegan. We asked the server who checked and came back to tell us which items were GF. The whole experience put me in mind of a soft opening night when no one really had any idea what they were supposed to be doing.
Not the best experience.
Geared towards a young hip crowd.
Food was ok but not great...especially for the price.
It was great! Good food. Nice music
The first impression was Wow! Loved the shopping center location. The place is beautifully decorated. At first we were greeted cordially and taken to a great table. The piano maestro was playing expertly songs that we loved. There were videos of popular music between sets. The waitress Patricia knew the menu well and told us what to expect of each plate we chose. Brought sauces for us to try that didn’t come with our choices. Everything came alive when the band began to play. People dancing and having a great time!
So much fun and entertaining! Live music playing on a Friday night and service was excellent!
I had a reservation at 9:30PM and when I arrive there was no seats, I had to seat by the bar. Everything else was great but I guess they need to organize better or don’t do reservations.
Panamá 500 años
Ambiance and service were ok. The food was average and overpriced.
Been here a few times and every time the food quality goes down and seems like the prices go up. My café con leche martini was missing the whipped topping garnish and our food came out cold. Not expected in an empty restaurant. Brunch menu has changed and not for the better. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
Everything was cooked perfectly! Really great atmosphere. Great place for tourists to come and get a feel for our Miami sabor and local icons, the Estefans. Excellent sangria too. The guava and cream cheese mousse was phenomenal!
Great place for a birthday celebration! Food was delicious!
Great ambiance! We ordered from the lunch Miami Spice menu. All the dishes we ordered were delicious! Amazing cocktails and wonderful live piano music.
Everything at Estefan Kitchen was phenomenal! To the decor, to the service, and the amazing food that was prepared perfectly... It was a wonderful culinary experience! Portions were perfect and drinks were delicious. A must when in Miami!
Food was terrible. Go anywhere else but here.
Great Latin food and entertainment.
We had an awesome time. The food was beyond what I imagined! My husband’s 60 Birthday was a success thanks to you all!
Be prepared to pay an automatic 18% tip.
Me encanto !!! El mejor lugar de Miami ❤️
I usually hate live music, but I loved it! Stayed well past dinner just to watch and join in on the dancing. It was a great time. So glad I went!
Great for an out of towner looking for a different take on Cuban cuisine. We went on a Thursday evening. Only about 5 tables were occupied, not much of a vibe. You can see the place is set up for a better crowd, maybe its popping on weekends. The pork flatbread is a must try if you go to this spot. The rest of the food we ordered was good also, but that was the standout. The mojitos were.... just mojitos.
As our daughter is a big Gloria fan we came from Amsterdam to Miami for holiday and to eat at Estefan Kitchen. The food was excellent and this includes the unbelievable great wine.
As we always eat early in the Netherlands we made reservations for 1900 but there were not a lot of people. The place started to get more crowded at 2000. I would highly recommend to go to this restaurant. Great food, great wine, great music and great service
Birthday celebration that was made even more special by our wonderful server Paola. She made excellent recommendations and was very attentive without being intrusive.
We went there my wife and I with another couple. We were shock when we saw the prices. But the portions were very , very SMALL. We had appetizers and main plate ands dessert. We left and were hungry . There is no w ay I would recommend this place to any one and of course, We will never return
Brunch with family. Should of offered complimentary mimosas
I have visited this restaurant several times and I have to say this time the food was awful. We had okay srrvice and the ambiance is nice but the quality of the food has dropped. Also, we were seated right underneath a speaker and the volume of the music was way too loud. We asked the waitress several times to lower the volume of that particular speaker because we couldn't even hear the people in our own table.
Great live band, and truly wonderful food. We’ll be back soon!
Estefan Kitchen has been one of the best experience I've had in Miami. Starting from the environment to the service and the beautiful architecture look the restaurant has. I'm a native From little Havana and Puerto Rican mother and Cuban Dad from Isla de Pinos. I'm currently an executive for a fantastic company and wanted to make sure I gave my boss the best experience ever, and I did. Thank you to Estefan Kitchen.
Food, service and live music was amazing! Have already recommended it to friends and can’t wait to be back!
The place was ok. I had been there before. That being said when you make a reservations for 12 and find yourself in the middle of a yelling, modeling and singing masses for Puerto Rico, I would have appreciated a heads up from the restaurant. I have no issue with them having events, but just let your other patrons know after they set up reservations weeks in advance. Not very professional.
The small plates made a perfect lunch. We ordered Cuban sandwiches and a pulled pork sandwich. Both were plentiful and delicious. I’d definitely return.
Food was great except for the black bean a bit salty, very disappointed with the Mojito coming from a Cuban family I found the it to be lacking sweetness
Amazing food and service - everyone is so nice and knowledgeable and always suggest the best dishes. A little noisy but we love the place
This is definitely worth trying out. We enjoyed our food, and the flavors were solid. Service was a little slow, and the restaurant was not packed, but the servers were attentive and kind. The live piano was a nice touch, and made our afternoon visit feel classy and more enjoyable. Would definitely come back at some point, though there's a lot of other options to try out before we'd circle-back to Estefan Kitchen on purpose.
For my girlfriend birthday we went saturday and had a blast. The band was awsome we even did the conga line Gloria estafan would be impressed
Had a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely go again next time we are in Miami!
Epic night. Great food. Great music. Great energy! Highly recommend.
Amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere.
I have eaten there before on the weekend with friends from out of town. I went on Wednesday there was two tables including mine and the server was horrible still paid the gratuity but wasn't pleased. I hope they get there stuff together. The food was brought out late and it was not good
Everything is Wonderful in Estefan Kitchen Service, Food Ambience OMG I WANT TO GO BACK 😍Yumy
Not the first time eating there. Service, the worst. Not even half way on our appetizers the main course was served. The food was a little over average. Pricey, which I wouldn’t mind if it has been at least good.
