Food was horrible, we ordered the tuna tacos and the tortilla shell of the tacos was cold and hard to chew, it was like they just took it out of the fridge and served to us. I mentioned to our waiter and she dismissed our comment at first, when she comes back to clean our plates and saw that the tacos were still in our plates, I told her again about how bad the tacos were and she said that was the way the tacos were. Everything else we ordered was just mediocre. I defenetelly not recommend this place to anyone and I would not be dinner ever again.
The staff there was probably the rudest I’ve ever encountered. We had a reservation and the table they had reserved for us was by the open door on a cold night. We were early enough that the restaurant was empty and they wouldn’t change the table, although every table was available. We were going to leave based on the horrible attitude of the team there, but wanted to check the place out so we sat at the bar. The bartender (a woman with curly red hair) was lovely and delightful, but the food was sub par from quality to taste. The drinks were fun. No more Tiki for us. Well, we’ll do The Anderson again next time for a Tiki experience. Light years above this place.
Loved this Miami Tiki bar from its drinks to the cool food options.
Excellent food! Ww frequent the Arscht so we will most definitely be back!
A unique Miami restaurant with a tropical themed menu near the Arsht Theater.
We were searching for a unique restaurant and really enjoyed our visit.
Drinks, especially call brands, are expensive, but the food and service were outstanding.
Really nice place, great food, had a really nice time.
What a beautiful place to go for dinner. Ambiance is great and the food is delicious. Sort of Hawaiian in miami with a lot of cocktails to try.
Esotico Miami is such a beautifully decorated ode to late 1960s tiki Polynesian golden era. The menu is an amazing variety of Hawaiian classics and tropical-Asian fusion. Great for intimate dates, or gatherings with friends! The service is stupendous, Daniele the owner is extremely hands on and present to make sure your experience is nothing short of magical. If you’re a fan of the Mai Kai in Fort Lauderdale, this is a piece of tiki magic in Miami.
Drinks didn’t come for 45 mins. The food was cold and came out almost 1 hour after. The service was terrible. No apologies or anything.
Outstanding attentional to detail and service, best in Miami!
One of the absolute best in Miami
Fantastic cocktails and food, best we have had in Miami!
WONDERFUL experience! Food and drinks were wonderful. The owner is great, along with his son who is a server. Can’t wait to go back.
Loved the cocktails and food! Really cool dining space. Would def come back.
Amazing food, great happy hour cocktails. Would highly recommend.
Amazing servers and service here. Made us feel at home and worked hard to accommodate us in the nicest seats.
Best birthday experience ever!!
Although I love tiki bars, I think Esotico missed the boat - especially in the drink category. The drinks were definitely subpar compared to many of the tiki bars I have visited across the country. The decor inside is really cool but the lighting is awful ( not as dark and alluring as most). We were there for happy hour, and I felt that their drinks reflected that .... no effort, no creativity, watered down drinks. I will however give Esotico credit for their happy hour food options. Tried all bao options and spam fried rice, and they were delicious!!! Skip guacamole for sure! Dumplings were very average, but not bad. I was very excited to see a true tiki bar pop up on Miami (where I visit often), but Esotico needs to focus on making drinks tasty and beautiful. Highly recommend that bar director read and follow Beachbum Berry or Smuggler’s Cove’s books in tiki drink presentation; Esotico made zero effort with drinks and that was most upsetting. Unless they step it up or revamp this, I don’t plan to return. Will just go to Broken Shaker or even the Anderson tiki hut for my next Miami tiki escape.
Beautiful restaurant-bar with exotic and tiki influences. Drinks are amazing with great presentation! Make sure to try the Hawaiian fried rice or the octopus dog ... very good! If you’re in the mood for drinks, this place has it. Also - try the rum negroni!
It’s all in the details! Excellent cocktails and food. Great atmosphere and decor.
fantastic all the way around!
Amazing cocktails! Great ambiance. The food is beautifully presented.
I went here for my birthday dinner late on a Tuesday night, so besides my party their were a few other people in the restaurant. The drinks were great and unique, our server was very good and offered suggestions, and the food was excellent and unique as well. There was music playing in the background, but not too loud, so my party was able to easily communicate with each other. I would like to return on a weekend night or ladies night to see how the ambiance is when there are more people in the restaurant.
Absolutely delicious food and drinks. The service was amazing the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and we can’t wait to go back again
Nothing special. Decorated in Hawaiian garb but not Hawaii-authentic.
We were excited to go based on the Thrillist roundup and photos online.
It was a slow Tuesday night, and maybe six tables were in use (indoor and outdoor), the lights were up and so it felt like we were in a restaurant that was closing. That made it feel off, and it was just OK from there.
I’ll say the owner was nice, and the concept is fun but when the lights are on, you see the plastic palms and wonder why each chair has to say the name of the place, as if somehow we will forget?
The food was OK.
It was like elevated diner food/kitschy concept, ala Baby Brasa in NY. If that’s your vibe, enjoy!
Quality food and service. A bit pricey, but it's worth it.
