In 2014, Emily and Matt opened their first restaurant in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, with a goal to create quality pies. A trip to Detroit changed everything: they loved the local style, the crispy cheese edge, airy dough, and bold red sauce. They knew pairing this base with chef-inspired toppings would be special.

Back in Brooklyn, they began experimenting with organic flour, aged cheeses, fresh tomatoes, and combinations like truffle/mushrooms or pesto/Calabrian chilies, perfecting that crave-worthy cheese crust. In 2016, they unveiled their Detroit-style take with Emmy Squared Pizza. They remain committed to crafting the country's most thoughtful pizzas. We hope you enjoy them!

The mozzarella sticks & the vodka pizza are so good. I sat at the bar & the bartender was very attentive despite having other tables. My food came out hot & fresh & the drinks are also amazing, I recommend the lavender 75 with gin.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Very beautiful restaurant. Also our server was FANTASTIC! She was super knowledgeable about the menu and that was great bc it was our first time! The pizza was some of the best I've had in charlotte. I'll be back!

Great setting for a Father’s Day lunch with my kids. Great food, peaceful atmosphere and wonderful service! Definitely one of my favorite pizza places.

We had a group of 8 and the place was empty. Our server acted as if we were putting her out having to take care of our table. Food took longer than expected, considering the place was empty, and the food arrived at different times. This will definitely be a one and done restaurant!

First time here. It was a quiet night when we went, not sure if thats the normal or not. We were literally the only ones in the restaurant. Ambience is nice but disappointing when it came to the food. Maybe because it was close to closing but thats unfortunate. In the description of the wings it literally mentions them being crispy....they were not. Sent them back. They came back and still no crisp. In our opinion the wings and the pizza were undergone.

A nice outing for Charlotte Restaurant Week, despite the crap winter weather the city has bestowed on us. Pizza was delicious, salad is awesome (yummy Caesar and shaved Brussels)

We dined here, hoping to experience their restaurant week deal, but once we got there and realized that they had a better special for the upcoming snow day… we took advantage of that. The promo was buy two pies, get one classic pie for free. The hostess was pleasant - greeting us as soon as we opened the door. Emily, our waitress, was extremely personable, sweet, and gave great suggestions. I think she went the extra mile to make sure that we had a really good experience – and even though it was a quiet night, we still felt as if she gave us personalized service. There was never a moment where we had to wait for our water to be topped off, or anything. She was truly on top of it!! The kitchen did make a slight mistake with our order, really unknowingly to us, but they were quick to fix it – then allowed us to take the extra pizza home. So actually instead of leaving with three pizzas, we left with four! Such a steal. The music playlist was perfect and such a vibe. It was a quiet night, probably because of the storm, but I’m sure on some nights - it can get a bit lively. The drink menu seemed good - but we didn’t indulge this time. Great for a date night, night out with your friends, etc. We will definitely be back!

Within a few minutes of ordering we were told that we would have to wait an extra long amount of time for our food because there were so many door dash orders. The restaurant was virtually empty besides our party of 8. We felt very devalued as customers that the ones who showed up in person were the ones that got pushed to the bottom of the list. I would hope that in-person customers would at least receive some sort of benefit from making the effort to come and fill the space of a restaurant that otherwise appears abandoned. When 2 of the pizzas we ordered finally arrived they were undercooked and had to be sent back. We then had to wait another 15 minutes for the pizzas to be made again. We were told “well at least this time you won’t have to wait as long because there aren’t as many door dash orders” lol I couldn’t believe it. What kinda world are we living in that in-person customers are ranked below virtual? However, the shaved Brussels salad was great.
