Elements Restaurant
If you're a foodie, you want to know where—and how--your food grew. It's fascinating, it's a good health practice and it provides extra pleasure from everyday experiences, like a meal with friends. elements is the American restaurant serving local steak and seafood, but with global influences in seasoning and cooking methods. A true culinary adventure!
Love special occasion dinner, expertly prepared, lots of surprises, attentive but not intrusive service. Just right.
I absolutely love this place. The food is outstanding, and I love the fact that they prepared a special vegan menu for me. I loved the wine pairings. Service is always outstanding.
Elements is a nice Princeton dining option with good food, unique presentations and attentive staff. That said, they decided to put a 20% gratuity as automatic to the bill. Given that they already push the limits on price to quality for the Princeton area I was very annoyed by the presumption. Now I tend to overtip, but having it added automatically for a party of two and at 20% I felt was too much and I will never go back as a result.
Fantastic. Careful, meticulous and first rate wine and food. Neither precious nor overly rich...just right. The bar downstairs is a cattle car, but the restaurant itself is peaceful and elegant.
Wonderful dinner from start to finish!
One word...EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish!! Worth every dollar!
Exceptional. Superlatives can’t match the experience. Best in Princeton by a long shot.
We had the chef's tasting meal which started slow but finished nicely. The cost was high, not surprisingly, but it was a special occasion and we will have fond memories of our meal there. Staff was very pleasant. Parking at the nearby deck was convenient.
I was not expecting a prize fixe menu, having last eaten here years ago. I was not hungry enough for the 5 courses, the lesser of the two options (the other is 9 courses!). There are a few extra tidbits added throughout the meal, all as delicious as the printed options. Every course was superb, and I managed to make it almost to the end. Had to bring dessert home, but it was divine the following day. The service, presentation, creativity and food quality are outstanding. Be prepared to spend a bit. I would suggest a special occasion with lots of time to eat, drink and digest.
Impossible to explain such an experience. Food, cocktails, and ambiance was a perfect 10. Will go back soon.
This is a gastronomic experience. If you can afford it ...dont miss this amazing restaurant. The presentation is incredible. I ordered the chefs choice 9 course. Each one had unbelievable flavors. I ate things I never thought I would because of the chefs expertise. It was a romantic attentive delicious one of a kind most memorable anniversary treat!
Amazing night at Elements. Very special place to celebrate with a loved one. Food was presented in such a unique way & was absolutely delicious. I have had lots of tasting menus, but this one was extra special. It is alittle pricey, but well worth it if you are celebrating a special occasion. I hope to go back in the near future.
Everything was amazing but where we were seated, at the front of the restaurant by the window it was very very cold, there was a couple on a table next to us that also commented on how cold it was by the windows.. we asked that the heat be turned on which they kindly did but it was still chilly..
Every single dish that came out of the kitchen was amazing. I tried foods that I never would have ordered for myself with their tasting menu and I will absolutely be returning!
We had an excellent meal, not a place to go every evening but nice for a special occasion.
Great food, great experience. Just make sure you make a reservation in the front of the restaurant where the kitchen is visible. We were tucked in a small back room that hurt the atmosphere. But great experience non the less.
From start to finish, Elements was spectacular. I went there with my wife and we got the chef’s tasting with the premium wine pairing. While it was not inexpensive, it was worth every cent.
Each course was perfectly complemented by a wine pairing and each was better than the next. With out going into detail on all the courses, a few that stuck out from our experience was the cuttlefish, smoked quail egg and the Waygu ribeye.
Each of the deserts were amazing and the coffee was excellent of course.
Presentation, service, taste were all amazing.
The experience is comparable to Latour at the Grand Cascades Lodge but with a slightly less stuffy/more modern ambiance.
We were given a gift Certificate to elements. We enjoyed the experience and food very much and would definitely go again. It is awkward when you walk in initially. We walked in a door that said elements yet it was a bar of a different name. We had to ask a few people until we were directed to the reception desk and then taken upstairs. Overall, we liked it very much
The food was phenomenal. The chefs brought out each dish. The wait staff and the chefs even signed a birthday card for my boyfriend, which was a nice touch.
Meal was fantastic. Certainly best dining in Princeton. Had the 4course menu and both of us were very pleased with our choices. Certainly an event dining experience
We did not know what to expect. We had never been there. We wanted something different. So we decided to be adventuresome on our 52nd anniversary. So happy we did. Met by manager Steve, ushered into an elevator, we entered a tastefully furnished dining room, lighting romantic, were seated at a window table with a Princeton view. What followed was unexpected, a four-course dinner, equal to or above New York’s finest, beautifully presented and served. Our bottle of Cabernet paired with cerviche, foie gras, pasta, and scallops and sirloin. A luscious chocolate cheese cake was a perfect finish.
I have been wanting to dine at Elements, for some time now....
Having the collaboration with Justin Cogley was the perfect opportunity for us to visit this jewel of a restaurant located in Princeton New Jersey.
Thanks to all that made the experience Pure Pleasure
Every course of a special visiting chef weekend tasting menu was artfully presented and flavorful.
One of the best meals we have had. The food was unique and delicious. The wines in the wine pairing were equally special. The staff could not have been better. They were professional, kind, and wonderfully engaging. I already told friends and family that they must go. It is definitely worth the trip. I'm looking forward to our next visit.
Wives birthday
Excellent fine dining. Pricy wine list and small portions.
Had another amazing meal at Elements last night! This was the restaurant that started our culinary awakening and we were so glad to be able to celebrate their 10th Anniversary with Chefs Scott, Mike, and the entire team! If you have never tried a tasting menu before we highly recommend going to one of NJ’s top restaurants: Elements! It will change your life!
Celebrated my 1 year anniversary this past Saturday and all I can say is it was absolutely incredible. We order the grand tasting menu and I seriously haven’t had anything like it since my time in France.
Ever course was brought by the chef, explained, and even given description of the type of food.
It was worth the time and money to feel special the way they all did included a personal menu to take with us and a card signed by the staff wishing a happy anniversary.
I want to say thank you again for making the night of our lives in year one.
Food moderately good.. to much use of smoked foods (2 courses) , wine excellent. Service variable. Waited ages to be given menus. But overall value terrible. 740 dollars for 4 people and a "cheap" wine. I can eat much better in a Michelin starred restaurant in London for 300 dollars.
Resiculoualy expensive, and... worth every penny. Food is creative and delicious. Service is perfect. Somelier wine selections were interesting... in a good way. A great evening.
Best dining experience I've had in Princeton. Creative menu along with presentation and exceptional service. My daughter and I went with the 9 course menu and had the best 3 1/2 hours we've had together in years. It was paced perfectly and each course was locally sourced and explained by the stable of exceptional chefs.
Amazing!!!!!!!!
Great food! The smoked quail eggs are to die for, and the cheese ice cream was a pleasant surprise.
Everything was magnificent, down to the last detail...
Elements is likely the best restaurant in NJ and on a par with some of the world’s best. The menu showcases locally grown/foraged foods and each dish is interesting, innovative, often surprising, and always delicious.
As usual the food was flawless, a real culinary adventure. My third visit, I find the foods mostly transformed to a unique epicurean delight. Last evenings quibble, I enjoyed the mushroom however it was merely a
Mushroom, not nearly as delightful as past choices. A wonderful evening, Elements is an EVENT!
It's very, very expensive, but the food you get is mouthwatering. It is expertly considered and crafted. We had the 5 course tasting menu and each bite built on the last.
My favorite spot! Elements never fails to please with food that sets a new standard for gourmet, with wine that is beyond what I have had at other top restaurants in an intimate and modern setting with views of the kitchen. The service is absolutely exceptional. Sommelier is warm, professional and very knowledgeable. All the servers who work in the open kitchen wish away empty plates and deliver tantalizing courses explaining the preparation.
I love this restaurant. Can't wait to go back!
Best restaurant I have been to by far. I normally go to NYC but now prefer to make a reservation at Elements.
You must leave a credit card number to get a reservation. If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled dining time you will be charged. We had the four course menu. The quail eggs in the bird’s nest was adorable and tasty. Cheapest glass of wine is $16 for a short pour. There are only about 30 seats and this place is very expensive for very small entree portions. The beef entree ($59 if ala carte) was essentially two tablespoons of mashed potatoes with beef the size of one slice of london broil topped with a teaspoon of delicious mushrooms in a lovely sauce. My friend came home and made hotdogs. Very plain atmosphere. Bar is downstairs at Mistral. Service is very good and you won’t be rushed— quite the opposite. I think they forgot to offer us coffee. We were done with dessert and had asked for the check when they remembered. Check to see if your tip is included.
